I’m in love with how goofy they went with some of these Dino mode head sculpts. I wish they just went screw it and went all out with the silliness especially since they are so tiny it makes them even goofier.

Would love to see some third parties try this sort of thing. Figures aimed to fit in with the G1 toys and the like. Does look like some goofy fun this. That Snarl's dino head is perfect.

I love snarls' goofy expression. Like, snarl looks like he's SEEN stuff. I also love grimlocks goofy looking everything. These look stupid and I love them!

I called them "Dinobot Combiner Set of 5" if anyone is interested in seeing the color combos that have come out over the years. They go with the "Predacons Undersize" set and "Seacons Set of 6" set.

According to the instructions Slag IS supposed to walk in those Dinosaur legs in robot mode. Also the combiner mode head can peg into a small peg on his back.

I got the set about a fortnight ago and I simply love it. The combined mode is just awesome, and it looks so great alongside Retro-futures Glacialord. Btw, the dino legs on Slag/Slug do rotate out to the back, you just have to pull them out a bit to rotate. Also you can make the gestalt mode a bit taller so he matches other genuine G1 gestalts, if you just keep Slag/Slug's legs extented in torso mode, it gives him about 1.5cm extra in height.

I have deep, deep love for the Seacons, I somehow appreciate them even more after learning about this set. I know budget no doubt is a factor here, but G1 really did incredible sculpted detail.

It’s almost as if the Seacons disguised themselves as Dinobots, the dinosaur modes, robot modes and combined mode all share similarities with the Seacons. Sludge and Grimlock’s robot modes are very reminiscent of the Seacons and the double gun attack modes as well.

Grimlock should be the main body/head honestly. Volcanicus' head looks like an upgraded Grimlock head usually after all.

I've seen a similar small-sized KO Dinobot Combiner before this which had a different color scheme than this. And it's weird to see Grimlock as the arm than a leg or torso, which makes this KO in particular distinctive from other iterations of Volcanicus.

@@SixoTF And if all else fails you can at least keep the weapons, even if you have to throw the rest in the bin. Do they fit the standard 5mm ports, though? If not you might have to throw _them_ in the bin as well, since even the official weapons tend to be loose/tight on some figs.

It’s more general - I would say it’s “loosely inspired” more than anything but there are definitely some bits where you can really feel it
