Cat has a unique personality: She has the patience / concentration of a pilot, and the imagination of a child. When appropriate, she changes from focus to giggling in half a rotation. I like Cat! 🐱

Very nice video Mischa. You capture stunning scenery in a great way and Cat is doing a wonderful job and makes an awesome personality for your films. Very different to our flat coastal scenery here in East Anglia but we all get to fly and to share our experiences which is amazing. I know you are busy but we do appreciate the videos when you do get a chance to upload. Thanks 😎👍🇬🇧Tim

For anyone who's looking for information about "icing" (the winter aviation hazard), this is not the video you're looking for. The video title comes up at @11:00 and has nothing to do with aviation, it's just another word for what we call "powdered sugar" where I come from. ;-)

That is fantastic. If you don’t mind I’ll ask a couple of questions if you could eventually make a video explaining that. 1. What does it mean “Information Lima or Bravo or any other” on the ATIS? Why do you have to tell ATC that you are on information “something”? 2. From what I understand a helicopter might not be IFR certified but you could still fly IFR if you as a pilot are IFR certified? It would be quite a long question but I appreciate any clarification. Cheers.

Enjoy the videos I would fly with her anytime. Got one question you keep talking about power, not being a pilot I think of power as to what the motor puts out if you don’t have enough power to get out of places how do you get in there. Guess what I’m asking what do you mean by power. Would it be possible to do a video on this.

What's that 'reserve power' he's talking about when landing? Isn't it as simple as just pull up and heli just goes back up? I'm guessing that's a no, but where's the power gone then?
@davidpeacock87884 жыл бұрын
As you lose transational lift you need more power to stay in the hover, the power needed to do so may be over the power available. This could be due to changes in temperature, altitude, humidity etc. (Engine itself may not be producing the same amount of power). They may try to pull up as you say, but if the power isn't there they would begin to sink through
@Neffins4 жыл бұрын
@@davidpeacock8788 Yes that's what I figured, altitude, perhaps even the size of the rotors in correlation with the possible output of the engine. I just assumed most of that would only be a concern in terms of pushing the limit which would be height and speed, not lower altitude flying/landing. Thanks for the insight though!
@davidpeacock87884 жыл бұрын
@@Neffins no worries. From my experience you tend to use most power in the hover anyway rather than normal flight. The engines on these machines are rated at a much lower hp figure than they are capable of, to ensure reliability
