The secret to the Viper. It sticks and sticks and sticks, until it doesn't, then you're going to end up in the weeds backwards. That said, I love them, one of the best muscle cars ever made.

Absolutely correct. I almost bought the very first one that was made. My boss talked me out of it and I bought a house instead. But that is one car that belongs in my garage.

Hope it sells quickly for Y'all. This 2006 was a one year only car fir Dodge. No coupe offered in 2003,2004, or 2005... No Vipers built in 2007 then in 2008-2010 the 8.4L V10 600 horsepower Viper was built... The 2006 Coupe is a good car for a proper price but the 1996-2002 and 2008-2010, 2013-2017 are the best years... I liked my Vipers but I like Ferrari's much much better!

Indeed, it's a bargain for raw power, if you know how to respect it. If you don't, the Dodge Viper is one of those cars where its not a question if it can kill you. it's a question of when...

The feet are pushed left because the viper is a traditional manual not a transaxle.
@normalguysupercar5 ай бұрын
There's plenty of front engine cars that don't have the pedals pushed to the left.
@AB-80X5 ай бұрын
@@normalguysupercar True. But can it be because the engine is set far back and the exhaust has to be routed next to the trans? If the engine sat further forward it would require less room in the footwell as the bellhousing is in front of the firewall.

IMO one nice thing about this gen of Viper is they're just civilized enough to use on a long drive without needing multiple chiropractic visits afterwards. 😅

Well I can drive in first all day long and on the freeway second. One thing I have yet to get use to is driving at slow speeds as the turning radius sucks. Mines a gen V though if am having a lazy day where I don’t want to shift as long as I get it in first it’s all good 😊.

Whether it's a bargain is kinda up to you, since you're selling it. You selling at top of the market or bottom of the market? That double overdrive is why I love the T56. I could get 30+ mpg on the highway in my '97 WS6 with 400whp (not stock) and 3.73 rear gears.

When the Viper was a Gen 1, it was something I thought was incredible. I was not a fan of American muscle but I thought it was brave on Dodge's part and it was cool. That lasted about 12 months until I saw the interior and the Car&Driver reviews.. After that, the car was dead to me. It's still a cool looking car, but like all American cars, they are good on the outside, but the rest of it is shit.
@normalguysupercar5 ай бұрын
Eh, I have to disagree. Yes, the Gen 1 was, well... Lacking. The later gen Vipers were really quite good.
