The Mazda has done a ton of work on the Mazda 3. On the outside you will find a redesign that is still looking fresh after a couple of years, From a sporty style grill, multi-spoke wheels and the brand identifiable Soul Red paint. On the inside you are going to find a premium interior with soft touch materials and comfortable seating. Under the hood is the tried and true 2.5L inline-4 that produces 187HP & is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2021 Mazda 3 a BETTER compact sedan than the Civic or Corolla?

@karaygeoushearts
@karaygeoushearts 3 жыл бұрын
@@philliposlemma6743 Not all CVTs are bad. Automakers use them because they get good gas mileage. CVTs get a bad rep mainly because of the humming noise it makes. To be honest, Nissan’s CVTs are the reason - I hated my Versa. I don’t think I’m alone in that. My Kia Forte has an ITV, which is much better, but it’s still not as smooth as an automatic transmission. My parents Hyundai Ioniq has less horsepower, but it’s actually more fun to drive. I can feel the difference.

I truly believe these are an awesome punch above their price. I actually got my mother into a Mazda 3 last month and it's so much more than her civic prior. She prefers compact cars. The LED headlighting is spectacular. I drive my new Mazda3 mostly city but tonight took her on a little hour jaunt down the interstate. It lights up your pathway like a Christmas tree. Makes for very confident driving in dark/inclement weather. Heck I remember the stock halogens that came in my 17 Mazda6 I had a few years ago. They weren’t acceptable. I had to switch them out for LED. Came a long way in just 3 years. Mazda’s current LED headlighting system (especially with adaptive lighting on board) is some of the automotive industry’s highest rated safety wise and you literally can SEE the difference!!

It is true about the mpg being less than a Honda, generally people who get Mazdas care more about the car being fun to drive , and the car is just so much better looking than a Corolla or Civic. Thanks for the review! I am sold. Mazda has come a long way in styling, ergonomics, reliability, etc. I have been driving a 2003 GTI VR6 for almost 19 years now as my daily, and it has been super reliable, with the only issue being a broken cooling fan after about 80K. Back then, the car cost 25K new (was the top of the line GTI). The car still runs like new, but i'm wanting to get into another, value priced quality car, and the Mazda 3 clicks all the buttons. I just cannot believe, that for the same price I paid in late 2002 for the GTI, I can still pay now and get as much car as i'm getting with the Mazda 3!

It was kind of my christmas present to me, though actually I'd been looking at Mazdas for almost a year now and just thought I'd wait until the 2021's came out to pull the trigger. My dad was a big Mazda fan and owned 3's going back roughly 10 years. I always loved it when I got the chance to drive his car over what was, for most of that time, a Nissan Sentra, though I can't say anything bad about Sentras, other than the head gasket blowing irreparably at 125,000 miles.

Great video as usual. A 2.5 L engine producing under 190 HP isn't great compared to the Nissan QR25 2.5 that produces 250 HP. The turbo version should be much better, especially if its 4WD too which the segment badly needs: they already have that in the SUV3, so it should find its way in the car, and hopefully with a 6 speed Manual too.

Rear view camera is much better if you get the 360 cameras option! In that case you will also have trajectory lines according to steering wheel position.

Dope review I’m looking into a Mazda for my first car. Should I go for a 2016 Mazda 3 or should I treat myself to a 2016 Mazda MX5 since the price range is similar for a used one?

Different vehicles. Mazda3 is more practical and a "daily driver", MX5 is more fun and comes with a manual.

That prop rod for the hood is better long term because you shouldn't have to replace it. Even if you had to it would cost less than replacing hood struts that can give out over time. Its little things like that that make me appreciate mazda even more. Proud owner of a 2019 mazda 3 premium sedan in machine grey!

What I love about Mazda compared to ANY other vehicle on the road today is the level of sophistication. I think this is reflected in every aspect of the Mazda 3 from in-vehicle driver features to the exterior body shape & color and everything in-between. It's difficult at times to maintain the level of owner maturity on the road when challenged by other vehicles. Every Mazda3 owner will attest to the fact that the most common rivals, especially Hona Civics and Nossan Altimas will challenge us to a race at any given opportunity. Those drivers get a rise in beating up their cars, wasting their gas and rapid accelerations. I get a rise in caring for my car, saving my gas, knowing that if I really cared to, I could bury them on a hot second, that is IF I didn't care for the care of my vehicle. Just looking at the unique shape of the Mazda3 leaves mo doubt why other drivers appear to have such a need to act as if they were on the Daytona 500. I've had a 2023 Nissan Murano rental for the past week as I fell victim to the much-feared exploding sunroof epidemic. I can't say it drives bad. But it doesn't impart the level of satisfaction as does the Mazda3. And for all the complaining I've read about the iActiveSense with Mazda, let me say, as compared to Nissan, it is exponentially better. While Mazda may respond close to a painted line, Nissan doesn't respond until you are on, and frequently, over the line. I've taken the past week just to compare. You can't beat Mazda. Not by a long shot. We have the most unique and attractive vehicles on the road today. It's no wonder why other drivers are so jealous. My Mazda Mazda3 is a 2021 premium deep crystal blue mica.

Seriously, how frequently do you open and close the hood to wear out the struts? I've never had the struts fail on any of the hatchbacks I've owned, and the hatch is opened and closed several times a day.

Joe, isn't the sun roof with an option package? I do not need the sun to be beating down on me. It is also too bad the turbo has to be sold with AWD. I don't believe that was the case a year or so ago. AWD adds another 200 lbs. Heated seats in Preferred Joe?

I bought a 2020 Corolla SE sedan 6-MT in late 2019 (& it's fine, overall), but may trade it in for a 2021-2022 Mazda-3 automatic sedan instead in the near future. I've been driving manual since my first vehicle in 1982 & feel that perhaps the time has come to buy my first automatic. I have no interest in any push-belt CVT automatic, however - so Mazda is the best choice.
