Is the 2021 Mercedes AMG GLB 35 a performance SUV worth the price?

I picked up this exact model and color a few weeks ago. Its perfect for me and checks all the boxes. Practical, comfortable, sporty, and I like the boxy look. We needed a family suv as we currently have a 4 month year old boy and maybe more on the way. With this suv I can still have some fun when the family isn't in the car 😈

@@BoopSnoot not really. Put it in comfort and its not noticeable feels like a glb250. Put it in sport plus and its more stiff. But then I put everything in sport plus then switch the suspension manually to comfort. It's perfect

Great review. I traded in my 2020 CLA 35 for this yesterday and couldn't be happier. Got great trade in value (almost what I paid for it in July 2020) and the GLB 35 was reasonably priced, which was nice given the crazy market. In some ways this actually drives better than the CLA, even though they have the same engine. Love the additional space and features. I do wish some of the features were available in the base, because they add up quick. Overall great car.

May I ask what made you make the switch? I traded in a 2016 cla 45 amg for the glb35.. obviously the cla was much faster then the glb35amg but the glb35 runs so much better. I hated the suspension in the 45. I also love the extra cargo space. No regrets

@@adicarlogeneral I got basically what I paid for it in July 2019 as a trade in value and I tend to get bored of cars after awhile. Figured I wouldn't get a better deal so it was a good time to pull the trigger. I think the GLB drives a lot better than the CLA35. Seems to have less turbo lag. The GLB is a great little SUV and the carbo space is great.

Love my GLK 350 but this is for sure next! Not overly large as the newer American SUVs are and still has a little punch to it with a decent luxury interior. The all wheel drive is a major plus

My neighbor, who is a cardiologist, just sold her 2017 MBZ SL 550 and purchased a black 2021 MBZ AMG GLB 35. I just stair at it each day. Its beautiful and sassy looking. The 21 inch AMG silver wheels are awesome. The rear diffuser with the chrome exhaust tips are high end. The owner is a beautiful blonde lady, about 35 to 40 and in great shape. She could have afforded a GLC or a GLA but she chose this model.

I get the knock for not having cooled seats but then again no manufacturer (to my knowledge) has cooled seats with the Alcantara option. And I really like the Alcantara seats in the A35, GLA35 and GLB35. I find them super comfortable and, like cloth, they do not get as hot or cold as leather. I had an A35 AMG as a loaner for 2 weeks with this same interior and it was a hoot. I would definitely shop one of these if I needed a small SUV because the powertrain is very charismatic.

Hi Zonkman, I'm going to call you Mr. Zonk from now on and I love the AMG GLB35 from Mercedes-Benz, yes I think PERFECTION should've been the name of the game when it comes to the car industry without a single Mistake. Love the TLX Type S and I truly believe that, 1 if there were no mistakes made in every car, it would've been a great idea. and 2 car manufacturers should've been PERFECT since their early days but you know that, I know that, the whole world knows that humans are far beyond perfect.

Great review as usual. You cover a lot of info in your reviews, how about 40 mph to 70 mph time? I love my car but when traffic on the highway slows and speeds up, I have a difficult time catching up so it is one thing I look for now.

I Love this Vehicle. Few Zonks are: I wish the entire roof was Panoramic. And they should've tucked the real windshield wiper underneath the top. And needs ventilated seats and a lid over the Wireless phone charging section. Also, you can fit a minimum of 50 boxes of Twinkies In the trunk. Nice Video

I honestly was going to close this review out and move on due to the price of this small Merc. But I stayed for the fake engine noise and the quick-shifting trans. I was pleasantly surprised. these are some of the best features I have observed in a small UV. I usually pass on the brand due to the potential long-term ownership problems, however, this has my attention now.

Great car but... Just remember, if you keep these beyond the warranty, they cost a small fortune to fix. When I worked at M-B, we used to say, "No matter what you bring these in for, it's gonna cost you $1000+". And that was over 15 years ago! That's when you decide to sell it and get taken to the cleaners on your trade. Because every potential buyer already knows what it's costs to repair and their offer will always be a "low ball". Acura, or Lexus are cheaper to repair (but not cheap), but they break down far, far less.
