As an S650 owner, I do like the digital dash on the S550 Premiums and Shelby's. However, I do think the infotainment center display is an upgrade for sure, both software wise and physically.

Low 10's with drag radials on E85. Pulley upgrade 9's. NHRA changed the rules, any car post 2014 can run down to 9.0 under 153 mph without a roll bar.

My only issue is that rotary style gear select, just looks odd in a car like this. Now I’m not some “all muscle cars need to have a manual transmission” gear head, heck I just learned to drive stick like 5 years ago so I’m far from a car aficionado lol, but man, this car would be perfect with a manual transmission.

The GTD uses an R version of the 5.4 engine regarding upgraded internals and a dry sump oil system for heavy cornering. Ford advertised 815 horsepower. When you build a track car like the GTD. It's not all about horsepower. It's the overall package starting with the 8 speed DCT transaxle. The Multimatic active Areo and Suspension components with a top speed over 215 mph. If you attended the Rolex 24 at Daytona. You saw the Mustang GT3 win the GTD Pro Class with their team car finishing on the podium in 3rd place beating competition like the C8 Z06 GT3-R. Mercedes AMG. Porsche 911 GT3. BMW and Lexus. The GT3 Mustang uses a 550 horsepower 5.4 Ford engine. The GT500 is an aggressive and amazing muscle car. But Ford has taken the Mustang to the next level creating a strong track car with the new S650 Dark Horse and IMSA Dark Horse R racing class that for the first time will compete in WEC at the 24 hours at LeMans along with the Mustang GTD Pro Something that never happened for the S550 GT500.

They should've had those slim bumpy seats like those Mustangs in the 60s, yeah they should've also gave it a regular shifter too though. I wouldn't go all the way and agree with you to the manual shifter degree, but yeah I don't think the rotary shifter is a muscle car type of theme though.

I do love this Shelby GT500 & even though this is the apostle to the muscle cars I think CLE did a good job. Now yes, it is far from perfect but love the fake corner vents I think without them you'll just red sheet metal. Plz reply

Joe the gt500 has only ONE size front splitter (both CFTP and standard version - same splitter). The gt350R has a larger front splitter versus standard gt350, but not the 500.

I was at a car show last year and saw someone with one of these have a custom license plate that said "ZR1 LOL"... and I uttered "You dumb bitch..." under my breath. I assume they were referring to the C7 ZR1. Not accurate even so, but now that the C8 ZR1 is out, I think they'll need to change that plate number. I say that, but I still like the GT500. I just can't stand when people choose dumb hills to die on.

The oil separator is only provided on CFTP, CFHP, and handling pack cars. This car doesn’t have the handling package camber plate lockout pins coming through the strut towers, so it’s probably a base car without the handling package unless the previous owner removed them, thus no factory provided oil separator.

AGREED 100%!!! I've said it before and now again. I'd take the GT350 iteration all day, every day. The GT500 reminds me of my 69 Mach 429CJ. All about insane speed. Not enough about balance. It's why the Boss 302 is so beloved, even though it's no dragster. In retrospect, l'd pick the Boss 302 and would've kept it years longer than that 9 mpg 428 beast.
