Joe - I know you said that it didn't have turbo-lag. But just by listening to the engine sound, from a dead stop, it seems like there is a decent amount of turbo-lag. BTW, next McLaren you need to test drive is the Senna! On a racetrack of course.

It’s because they way they make tempered glass. Those spots are from the cooling jets. The laminated windshields are made different . I just read a jalopnik article about it

From my experience owning the Eray and driving the McClaren around 200 miles the Eray is a much better car with awd and no plug in with a better 3lz interior.

I just can't with a V6 in this platform. I love the turbo V6 in so many other cars like the CT4-V Blackwing, or the Nissan GTR but honestly the big attraction for Mclaren was the power delivery of the M838/M840 V8. It just gives you all the right stuff and it wasn't particularly thirsty if you drove it with some sense. The Artura is a beautiful car like all Mclarens but with a V6 it just loses character in my opinion. It's like Ferrari and the 296. Yes the numbers are there but you really can't help but feel that a Ferrari V6 belongs in a, Alfa, Fiat or Lancia. I don't like these higher end sports cars with a V6. considering you can get a used 570S in great condition for the same price as an E-Ray, if you had to have a Mclaren, why not that? The Mclaren GT is within striking distance of the E-Ray as well but again coming back to the Corvette it's hard to ignore the value and everything you get with that car and the ride is fantastic.

Only way I would get that McLaren is if I have tons of millions to blow and a back up car for when that thing breaks down. lol For all that money and they cant put in a HUD. E-ray is standard just like the CCB. The E-ray is 35 HP less but beats it in TQ with 600ft/lbs. Many more places to service and Im sure cheaper. I got my comp yellow E-ray a month ago and have been having a blast.. I did weight it with 1/2 tank of gas and it was dead on 3900lbs. Im getting lighter wheels and later get a better exhaust which will drop another 50lbs. If you have 200K+ to blow I would get the e-ray or if you can hunt one down get the Zr1. But many people have been on lists with dealers for years and many that dont will over charge like mad.

250k for a v6, nah im good. Only car id take with those specs is a Porsche 911 Turbo. Ill take the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica for 250k same price point as this Artura, but with the big naturally aspirated V10 640 hp. But if I had to pick between E-ray and this, ill take the E-ray, sorry McLaren.
