People say the same thing about the Camaro. Is there less visibility than other cars? Sure. Do you get used to it quickly? Yes. Mirror placement and road awareness goes a long way. People need to stay off their phones and focus on the road. Especially in sports cars like the Camaro and C8.

The price to fix the front end after a mishap could easily cost $6000.00 just depending on the damage done from pulling in when parking. The other problem is I don't think the factory front camera can be added AFTER the purchase. Nice car by the way

I got the C8 HTC Z51 1LT. There’s only two things I miss with the 1LT. The heads up display and garage door opener in the sun visor. Z51 is always worth it for all the suspension, braking, exhaust, cooling upgrades.

A LOT MORE than just extra cameras! Upgrade sound system, more speakers, head up display, wireless phone charging, video/ data recorder, memory seats, heated and ventilated seats, navigation, power bolster/ lumbar, home remote for garage door, etc.etc.

I have a 23' C8 1LT waited 11 months and paid MSRP. Torch Red with the Adrenaline red interior.... Great color combo. Didn't go with the spoiler... Takes away from the lines..The only, "Add on" I chose was the air ducts being the same color of the car, a_995 option.(because they all come in black) makes the car look cheap and the same color body molding makes the lines of the car more fluid...( Gives it more of a Ferrari look,) ...... I absolutely love it. The 1LT is good enough for me.

Although I cannot afford one now, I watch a ton of videos and do a lot of research of what I want when one day I can. And you are right, almost everybody says you "have" to at leas the a 2LT. I would much rather get a 1LT and add the options that I want.

Agreed. The 2LT is a want and not a need, especially if you're not tracking it. I added the mag ride, performance exhaust, red brake calipers and red seat belts. (black car) and upgraded wheels. Purchased an after-market Z51 spoiler for looks at a cost of $250. 10 Bose speakers instead of 14? No big deal. All you need for a top-shelf sports car is in the 1LT. Total cost of $72K.

I add blind spot mirrors to ALL my vehicles, even the ones with blind spot monitoring (please note blind spot monitoring doesn't show you an image of anything in your blind spot or approaching your blind spot). I don't have blind spots anymore after the blind spot mirrors are added. I have used these blind spot mirrors for years and on various cars...and love them. I make sure I get the non-full-circle-shaped blind spot mirrors to show the biggest image view of the blindspot. Blind spot mirrors cost around $10-$15 for two mirrors, to be added to my two outside rear view mirrors. I will add them to the c8 as well.

My local Chevy dealer Northpark Chevrolet in Castroville Texas let me and my wife test drive a 2022 Stingray LT. and I just drove it in there huge parking lot and I knew w/ in 10 seconds This was the car for me and I ended up buying one from a Nissan dealer in Harlingen Texas and they shipped the car for free to me in San Antonio Texas, and your Right Jay this IS the American Ferrari and I have been enjoying it since March 1st of 2023 and I will Never buy another mustang GT after owning this Chevy Masterpiece !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Peace~

Got a 1LT and went with HTC so I got rear view camera. Also got the performance exhaust yellow seat belts and calipers. Also the low profile spoiler and front splitter. I preferred the HTC vs the 2 LT. I am so happy with what I got and paid $74k before tax.

Z51 is not just for track, its the spirit of this sports car and some features (elsd, cooling system, etc) you cannot add later, or at much higher cost! I've driven both (Z51 & non Z51) and the difference is VERY noticeable; imo Z51+magnaride is a must have! I'd spend the extra $4K and get the 3LT (vs. 2LT) for all the lux leather and GT2 seats, plus a better resale value; but as you said 1LT is all you need.

1LT for 2024 comes with the rear view camera stock. 10 speaker Bose, full leather, power seats, remote start... and just option in the performance exhaust and you get the same power as the Z51. However it weighs less, has less aero drag... So the trap speed in the 1/4 mile , the 1LT is higher, and it has a 10mph higher top speed than the Z51 due to less drag. I am happy with the 1LT and I think most folks would be. When you consider how many C8 owners have their car as a weekend toy or garage queen, or spend most of their time parked at car meets... Does the Z51 handling and suspension and brakes really make much difference? No. On a track day? Absolutely.

The cost of the 1LT versus 2LT, you will enjoy during ownership and recoup some of the cost when you trade it in or sell it. Also, the 2LT option makes for a more marketable Corvette in the end

I understand what you are saying. But I didn't buy this car to sell it down the line, or look at what it would sell for down the line. I ordered to spec the way I like it, but I respect your point of view. Some car people do this. I do not. Everyone has that perfect car they have always wanted, and if you can get it...you have no thoughts of selling it. I don't personally don't care what it is worth to dealers, or sites that sell cars. As of now, I'm enjoying it. BUT, anything can happen, and I don't know what is down the road. If for some reason I do sell this car, I will get more than I paid for it. 2 things make it stand out. Color is in the top 5, and it's a 70th year model. That coupled with low miles, I will get all of my money back and then some. I guess based on your comments, you have a 2LT or 3LT, I say just enjoy the NOW tomorrow will take car of itself. #TeamCorvette

Nice vid. I got my 23 white 1lt last summer (July). I hadn’t planned on getting z51, but adding it to my order got it accepted a lot sooner. Got some Aerolarri red chrome wheels and ceramic tint (engine bay lights that run on AAA batteries and a red tow hook) and I’m set. Couldn’t be happier. Cant tell the difference, being I haven’t driven a non-z51, but I love what I suspect are the upgrade…

@@2024CorvetteE-Ray there are several brands out now just Google them. Mine are a year old. They are a strip of lights connected to a small AA battery pack (3). Take off the strip on the sticky tape and line them about the trunk lid. I attached my battery pack to a strip of Velcro on the edge of my lid, just to the right of my trunk space and it fits well when closed, tho out of sight. Not one issue. Doesn’t overheat. I don’t drive at night much so my lights stay bright about 6 months. Even though the battery pack is out of view underneath the closed lid, the remote still works just fine. Now some kits even come with Bluetooth. Hope this helps! FYI Google c8 engine bay lighting kit. They range from 50-200 bucks.

I drive a 2023 Camaro. With the side mirrors adjusted so that the side of the car is slightly out of view, there are NO blind spots. Folks that have "blind spots", nearly always have their mirrors looking at the side of their car, which you don't need to see.

I got a 2SS so losin' blind spot monitoring, HUD, memory seats, and heated wheel/seats is huge for me. It would be a sort of downgrade in luxury. And I always adjust my seat so memory seats is needed. I was thinking of gettin' a 1LT.

I haven't verified this but some shorter owners are saying the GT2 seats sit higher than GT1 and GT3. I'm 5'6 so that is a minor concern. I've only sat in C8's with GT2 seats so I have no idea what the GT1 seating experience is.

I've sat in them all, and the GT1 seats are for people who are gonna drive longer distances or road trips but still want a little sportiness. The GT2 seats are very comfortable, and you are not as tall as I am 6'4. You will be happy with ANY of the seats more than likely, but the GT1 seats feel great for long drives. I have done 3 long trips, and they are nice.

The only things that concern me that I would be missing on the 1LT are the HD Front Camera, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and the Side Blind Zone Alert. Since you have driven both the 1LT and the 2LT do you wish you had any of these or have any input to help my decision?

If you rely of blind spot monitoring, you’re going to have an accident. It’s far from perfect and I never trust it. Visually check. And front cameras were a big plus in the C7 with that large from end but this cars hood slopes down hard making it easy to park. I had no interest in the 2LT package.

There's alot with the 2lt thats worth it. I think if you get a nice c8 2lt and z51 is a must. Just the safety features and luxury features makes it well worth it. That rear view mirror camera is worth your safety. I don't believe the 3lt is worth it. The c8 has bad blind spots my friend got the 1lt and he crashed because of the blind spot. You buy a nice car like that which is also luxury why cut out all the luxury features and cut your full enjoyment.

@JWilliams I'm sure if the mirrors are adjusted right the car should be ok but nowhere near as safe with all the 2lt safety options. The corvette is built for luxury that's why it has mag ride opinions and a luxury car is luxury interior leather standard and luxury features is what defines a luxury car with a powerful motor so the c8 corvette is definitely a luxury super car. My c8 has a better ride and more comfortable then my Cadillac. The c8 is America's fighter against the European exotic cars its made with luxury and power especially the c8. Mine c8 is triple black hard top convertible, machine carbon painted rims z51, 2lt and carbon interior trim. The carbon interior trim is pricey but looks beautiful. For me the 2lt, z51 and htc with the machine carbon painted rims was a must. You are right tho it all depends on each person's wants, styles and budgets. The 3lt I definitely don't think it's worth it and I heard the same about the dashboard having bubbling problems being in the heat. So best would be 1lt or 2lt in my opinion.

I think it’s all about want. I also think to say that anybody needs a 60k car or a 180k zo6 when you can go buy a 20k Corolla is just not an intelligent conversation. Nobody needs a 2 seat 500hp car. It’s all about want. We’re Americans and we love our cars. That’s the bottom line. I just bought a 2023 htc z51 with all the trimmings. I got all that because I wanted it and I can afford it. If all I could afford was a Corolla then that’s all I would’ve gotten. A 1LT corvette is a super bargain. You have to realize one thing though.. That extra 8k might be saving you more than that in insurance cost over the years. It is a lot cheaper to insure a car with those safety features and it is a fact.
