Is the 2023 Genesis G90 E-Supercharged AWD the best luxury sedan? Review and drive.

Had Mercedes 500 s class and BMW 7 class. no one talks about the cost of maintaining a Mercedes, which is ridiculous, as the dealers charge exorbitant expenses, also never had a Mercedes that did not develop a squeak or a noise that dealers could fix. BMW in general better car, no noises, or squeaks, but had electronic problems. Got a G90 6 months ago, close to 10,000 miles, car is incredible. To me this is the standard now.; quietest car, and after driving 3,4 hours no tiredness or cramping., by far, the best car I've ever had . Dealerships have to catch up, as they are mostly Hyundai, and are not to the convenient (fancy) standards of the competition.

Thank you for sharing! It is a great vehicle! I think the S class is still the benchmark. Quality of assembly and ride cannot be matched. I have not owned S class to be honest but worked for Mercedes dealership for years and have many friends who purchased them, some used it as limos and put tens of thousands of miles per year. I have not heard them complain. Yes the maintenance part is not cheap however you can purchase discounted maintenance package. But, to each their own and I am happy that you love your G90.

I've been a Porsche owner for year's (1-911, 2- 718s, and 2-928s), and I'm really tired of the expensive maintenance costs for these German's. After taking the G90 for an extended test drive, I've ordered my 2024 G90 e-Turbo and can't wait to take delivery :)

I've had the Mercedes S Class, S550 for 10 years. I traded that in for a Genesis G90. Only 2 weeks ago. So far, I love it. Before the S550. I had the BMW 750Li. So I've now had all 3. Although not in the same model year. In my opinion, the G90 is about 95% of the ride and power of the S Class Mercedes, and 150% of the features and the quietness. Compared to a 2013 S550. To be fair, the S550 has also had a lot of new features since then as well. Besides that, I like the looks of the Genesis G90 better. It's more like a Bentley than a Benz really. And quite a bit cheaper. The Benz with similar features is more like $135k, plus MUCH more expensive to maintain I think, than this will be. Overall, in my opinion this is equal to the Benz and BMW, but 30% less to buy and significantly less expensive to maintain. Especially with the 10 year. 100,000 mile warranty. At this rate, the Genesis brand will catch up to the Mercedes brand in a few years. Once enough people have them and try them and talk about them. They've only been a brand for 6 years so far, and they are already making cars that compare favorably.

Thanks for your comment! I agree pricewise it is a less expensive alternative to BMW and Mercedes. I still think Meecedes sets a benchmark and the newest one has the same if not better level of technology. The newest BMW 7 series looks like space ship on the inside. The question of reliability wont be answered for several years and that will be a huge factor. I think its a great sedan but in my opnion does not quite play in the same league yet.

@MattTheCarguy you may be right. My 750Li BMW was more than 10 years ago, so it's unfair to compare. But I also have another smaller BMW at my summer home, and one thing I've noticed with of them, and with my brother's BMWs and with all my friends that have them , is that they seem to need a lot more maintenance and repairs and the repairs are very expensive. Mercedes repairs are also very expensive, but not needed quite as often as the BMWs

@@valserrie2122 you are right about that with BMW lol. Unfortunately as much fun they are to drive the upkeep and repairs are crazy. I recently filmed a 2023 X7 that was pre owned and several features would not work like the 3rd row seat would not fold and the Navigation system would not turn on. While minor annoyances you would expect a lot better quality for the price.

FIRST THIS IS JUST ONE GOOD LOOKING VEHICLE!! ALL IT'S FEATURES; SAFETY AND LUXURY ARE OUT STANDING, DOOR CLOSING AND OPEN, SHADES, GREAT SOUND SYSTEM. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS I CAN NOT AFFORD ONE. I'VE OWNED OVER TEN KIA/HYUNDAI, TO INCLUDE MY PRESENT 2020 SANTA FE ELITE TURBO. IT HAS MANY OF THE SAME FEATURES, NO MASSAGING SEATS!!! BUT HEATED AND COOLED POWER FRONT SEATS AND HEATED IN THE REAR. I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A GENISIS PREVIOUSLY. THE GRILL AND HEADLIGHTS WITH THE SIGNATURE MATCHING SIDE TURN/SAFETY LIGHTS. I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THE GRILL AND LIGHTS ARE WHAT TELLS YOU EVEN IN THE NIGHT YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS, I.E, CADILLAC'S SIGNATURE VERTICAL LIGHT SYSTEM. YOU KNOW YOU ARE FOLLOWING OR MEETING ANY CADDY. NOW GENISIS HAS ACHIEVED THE SAME SIGNATURE LIGHT SYSTEM. NOW IF THE GOOD LORD WILL BLESS ME IN THE LOTTERY. I THINK I NEED TO BUY A TICKET FIRST. BUT IF I WIN, THIS WILL BE IN MY DRIVE WAY, BLACK WITH CARMEL INTERIOR, OR LIGHT TAN. UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE VEHICLE.😇😇😇😇😇😇🥰😃😃🥰🥰
