Is the 2023 GMC Canyon Denali the BEST new luxury truck to BUY?

FIRST LOOK: The Canyon gets a total redesign from GMC for 2023. On the outside of the Denali you will find a new chrome grill, LED lighting front fascia and 20in wheels. On the inside you will be greeted by a leather interior, new infotainment system and digital gauge display. Under the hood is a standard 2.7L turbocharged inline-4 that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2023 GMC Canyon Denali the BEST new luxury truck to BUY?

GMC struck gold with these. Best looking midsize by far. Love the aggressive stance. Only way it could be better is if they would have offered a manual transfer case lever on their off road model.

It's great to have a trim like this for the mid size segment but at the same time I feel like the AT4X trim fits better for the Canyon and the Denali trim fits better for the Sierra.

There's also the Denali ultimate too the gmc HDs should have it too anything to compete with the ford limited super duties like I can just imagine a Denali ultimate HD being a different wolf from the pack.

Every Vehicle should have a Denali trim, because there are always people that want the top of whatever vehicle they like. Also, the AT4X doesnt' ride as smooth on the road, which is where most people drive.

Good looking truck but will cost an arm and a leg. Went and looked at some new trucks yesterday. A new Chevy Silverado RST (equivalent to an LT so base model) is $60,000! That’s insane! I make $80,000 a year and can’t even afford a new base model truck. GM will deff be going bankrupt again. How you expect to stay in business when someone has to make 6 figures a year just to buy your base model truck 😑

I really like the tailgate storage, with such a small bed it can save most people from needing a toolbox and reducing the space that much more. Jumper cables, tow strap, a few basic tools. Should hold everything most people need.

I went to the Detroit Auto show last week. I was disappointed that the public was not allowed within 15' of the new Canyons they had on display. I understand they are probably prototypes. It's strange how Chevy is ahead of them, and allowed the public to sit in the new Colorado. I mentioned the lack of physical head light switch to the GM pitchman, and he was obviously confused. Maybe he didn't get to look inside either. Great presentation as always.

Finally they put LED Tailights on the Denali. I have a 2019 Canyon Denali w the 2.8, and it wasn’t cheap 😂 then I spent another $400 just to put decent LED taillights on it, and for $50k I still have no power tailgate lock. It’s a shame, but it looks like they’ve fixed some of the common complaints; let’s hope those features all make it to the production model! Great video!

Hello folks. I'm looking to buy a new truck in fall of this year. This will be my first truck. I will be upgrading from a vw golf lol. Given my life style, I love camping and i don't mind long distance driving. I live in Northern Alberta Canada and we get pretty crazy winters out here. Without being biased, would you recommend a 2023 GMC Canyon AT4 (not atx4) or the 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro4x ? Which is more reliable and trusting?

The Canyon Denali, in my opinion, is the best looking of the Canyon lineup. I have reservations about the 2.7 Liter engine GMC has Gone with. I will keep an eye and open mind on how it goes over. But all and all a really nice looking truck. Any idea what kind of a price tag this will carry?

2023 Canyon can be the best mid size truck, cabin size is very comfy, no change the from previous models, the new transmission is supposed to be best is class and new 4 cyl eng is a high output torque over 300 HP Already own a 2016 Canyon and looking forward to the 2023 model yr for an upgrade…Thank you your excellent review, yaah are the best in YT
