@Bo Kennedy the main thing is hesitation when going on/off the gas. When you go off the gas and then immediately back on there is a hesitation where it doesn't respond then abruptly lurches forward. This is more evident when making right turns where you get on the gas after the turn. I have adapted by pausing longer when getting back on the gas and in this way, it reduces the effect. It just doesn't feel there is a direct connection. Other than that I don't have any other complaints.

I love the outside of the Camry TRD much better than the new Accord but I like the inside of the new Accord better. It really comes down to personal preference on the interior as I don't really care for the weird center stack shape on the dash of the Camry... but man... the outside is so gorgeous. I love that exterior color too. In regards to acceleration, the Carmy probably has it easily but from the reviews I've watched, it sounds like the handling of the new Accord is pretty good. I really wish Honda had left us some real dual exhausts on the back... since it's a hybrid and not an EV. I'm probably inclined to go with the Camry on the sole fact that I can see Honda is designing toward an all-electric future. While I may like some things about EVs, I think we're no where near where things need to be if all the car makers are going to "jump ship" from gas and only produce electric cars. Until EVs can go from almost 0% to 99-100% in like 5 to 8 minutes to recharge, car makers shouldn't be considering this change over. They should just abandon states like California that have government required switchovers. They can only handle so many car companies pulling out before they would be pressured to remove the requirement. Let's not even get into the whole rolling blackouts crap... Too soon... just saying.

I would like to see them take the V6 in the TRD and make it a twin turbo, it doesn't need to be pushing out a ridiculous amount of power but something in the range of 400hp. Something to differentiate them from the XSE/XLE models because they are better equipped. If they could make it AWD as well that would be a very solid selling point combined with the two turbos. They don't really even need two turbos, just something to make it more racing/power oriented over the XSE/XLE trims. The XSE has everything that the TRD should have. Always a pleasure Joe!

You're better off with a fully optioned Camry XSE with the V6 (same powertrain). You don't get the suspension upgrades (which you only need if you track it and you still don't want to track a Camry TRD). You can option the same wheels, you can still fold down the rear seats without a cross brace in the way and you get all the interior options not available on the TRD. With the TRD you're basically buying a ground effect kit, spoiler, some badging and a rougher ride day to day. Oh and expect dealer markups for that TRD badge. Local dealer was selling a 3 year old one for $5k over MSRP when new though that was at the height of pandemic though their lot still has few new cars in it.

Thank you for the great filming work, Lori! I am seriously looking at getting a 2023 Camry SE, possibly Nightshade in Reservoir Blue, FWD with the 4 cylinder, and I would be totally be happy with that, but this new TRD in this color, accents and JBL stereo and other touches got me sold as a consideration. But the only issue is the rear seat not folding down, but if I am able to get an HR-V Sport to carry stuff and let my sister drive, it would be ideal. I do not want the sunroof, too much potential water leak and mechanical problems down the road, and defeats the purpose of all the added structural braces for chassis stiffness if you have the sunroof. Also, I and fine with the lower, outer front fascia pieces, though no foglights/accent running lights, but there's always aftermarket potentisl. Great video, Joe. This is the best Camry TRD yet. As far as the new Accord, it's really nicely designed, with great styling, nice and sleek, but looks so long, but it's expensive in any trim, and the deal breaker is the engine/drivetrain choices. And a totally different perspective from the Camry, especially the TRD.

Great video. Thank you. I purchased a 2022 Camry TRD with Calvary Blue. I love the car and glad I bought it. I see that nothing has changed except for the special color of the year. Sad though that Toyota does not add new things to specially TRD since it's a sports car. Like you said in your video, they should add fog lamps to the front and make the rear lights LED. One thing I am so disappointed in this car is that even though Camry TRD is a XSE, the options or some fixtures are that of a LE. Example, Rear Lights (Tail lights) are that of a LE model and not the the lights of a XSE (which is LED lights) which are really nice. This door lights are not real. They are just reflators. I was so disappointed when I realized the differences between Camry TRD XSE and Camry TRD XSE (regular model). Felt cheated by Toyota. I wish I could get them to change the tail lights at least. Every time I see a Camry XSE I feel that way :(. But all in all, I love this car and wish Toyota add some cool thing to make this more sporty.

Beautiful car, that back end on it is gorgeous, love the wing and diffuser. I wonder if they’ll give it a third tail pipe and GR badge someday. I tease lol. For real though super nice car. I love it :) Beautiful cam shots as well.

I’m a Honda guy and I will say Camry TRD over the 2023 Accord. Fact is the new Accord does not have a single trim level that is a performance variant. Now if you’re talking about the 10th gen 2.0T it might be a different story.

Ha Joe. 2 major deciding factors for me getting a 24 TRD was the last year for this styling and last of the v6 engine. Also the auto trans that still has gears. Just picked it up about a month ago wind chill pearl. No regrets.

I'm zonking it for the non blacked out logo on the front and lack of sun roof of any kind especially when other trims get a panoramic roof. The fake vents/exhausts on cars don't bother me too much but it really doesn't make sense to even bother designing a car that way

Camry keeps the V6, so it wins by default. I just wish the TRD came with a spoiler-delete option. I think the whole car looks fantastic, except for the boy-racer wing.

Seen a TRD without the rear spoiler, trust me you would want a spoiler to match the side skirts, rear diffuser, and front lip, it looks odd without the rear spoiler.
@UnknownUser-ff6wt Жыл бұрын
To be honest I actually like the rear spoiler, not to big/high, matches with the rest of the body kit, and its functional. I think it looks good and I only like very few but the TRD is one of the good looking ones imo.

Yes. I have one! All black TRD. Pretty mad that some people have scratched it up and various other circumstances have occurred… Like the rock that put two tiny chips in the paint on the hood, on the way up to the windshield… Car looks new though, because it is new… LOL Just things that I notice…

@@RaitisRides Okay, but I guess I should actually talk about the car… It’s only been about five months, but the gas mileage is surprisingly, pretty darn good on the highway, and for not being a dual clutch, the transmission is quite smooth and quick! Plenty of power, really, but I think it needs AWD. LOL It does tend to lose traction the way I drive… XD They offer AWD for some of the 4 cylinders…..? Why not the V6?? Come on, Toyota! Turning radius is definitely not as good as my old Lancer, but I excepted that… The exhaust sounds REALLY good for a Camry, but one of my tips had a separation, which would have been $1,400, but thankfully, it’s under warranty, which it should be. I won’t go on and on, but it’s a great balance because you get the Toyota reliable engines, and also some sportiness!

Love my windchill pearl 2018 Camry XSE V6, 301hp. It seems like Toyota didn't put much more into the 2023 Camry TRD. I am really disappointed that there is no sunroof. They could have a least installed a panoramic glass top to let the sunlight in. I am looking at the Toyota Crown, more HP, more MPG, and epic two toned paint jobs.

I have a special 07 Solara Coupe that I don't think I'll ever get rid of, and I used to comment about this Camry begging Toyota to make it a coupe. They basically let me down easy, and I'm trying to be thankful for all the other amazing cars they're making right now. I'm working toward a goal of getting an LC, to different RCs, a Supra, and GR Corolla, so I guess a Solara won't be needed, but it would look so good with this styling. I also gave up asking Honda to make a new V6 Accord with manual and HFP package, and have been broken hearted to see them go the opposite direction. Thank heaven for Akio Toyoda and no more boring cars, and all these amazing coupes and naturally aspirated engines they're making.

Fyi you can get a sunroof installed into a TRD for around $1500~2500 from the Toyota dealer, Toyota didnt naturally put the sun roof into the TRD because of the center of gravity.
