Bison are impressively agile for their size. LOL. They can just up to 6' vertically and run up to 45mph. Pretty impressive for one ton animal.

Great review. I have a modded 17 ZR I bought new, ext cab, long bed. The lack of no ext cab in the 3rd gen has stopped me from trading up but I sure like the new Bison.

I have a Bison in grey and the no rear view camera (something gm has already) drives me crazy. Charge me whatever for it. After $67000 what's another $500? $1000? to actually have a rear view "mirror"?

I’m surprised they didn’t do a rear view screen. I’ve been seeing it in everything new that has an off road capability. All the Toyotas have it, and since the camera is already on the truck for the surround view, would be nice to have the digital rear view since the tire is blocking your vision.

How does the highspeed offroad performance compare to the Ranger Raptor?

We haven't driven that yet, but Raptor models are usually tuned for high-speed off-roading.

That's a great question and I wouldn't be able to give you an honest answer on that however it is wildly used in racing they even used in NASCAR Who knows what Ford's thinking is

I wish GM designed some extra weight savings or hauling capacity into the ZR2 and Bison. All these add-ons bring payload down to under 1000 lbs. Not all that great for a truck this size.

​@@adamweber1545 I honestly don't have an answer only Ford knows that, just like the new 150 Raptor has a heads-up display and he Ranger Raptor didn't get that perhaps they didn't have enough computer chips lol All I will say is both trucks are incredible trucks that do it all very well and last year when I was choosing which one to order it was a no brainier the Raptor was fully loaded with no extra options @59,500. The Bison required more money to get to the same level of the Raptor I even considered the TRD Pro same thing Thank God I didn't get the TRD now all the engines are blowing up I think we should go trail riding in the Ocala national forest I'll have the wife bring the bronco just in case the Bison gets stuck lol 🤣

It’s really funny everyone says flow tie good for air flow but on either side of it is just flat plastic which is completely obstructing the flow of air. Damn 65k and u get a manual rear window nice. RR gives u everything u need at 55,470 base price. So are 2in taller tires, skid plates and metal bumpers which it should come with on a base zr2 but doesn’t worth the 10k? Yes Ik RR will probably have a mark up but that’s not fords fault. I’m sure there will be mark up on zr2s with this package.

Though, to be honest, the boron steel skidplates are uniquely bison, there is nothing like that on the aftermarket atm and even if there was, it would cost lot of money

@@nihontoman the 35s are mean but I don’t think ur really getting that much more outa them over 33s it only gives u another 1.5 of ground clearance with that package. Certainly in some situations but I think they reduce wheel travel that’s why RR doesn’t have 35s. Idk I just couldn’t imagine adding a 11k package for wheels bumpers and skid plates. It would be cool if that one package gave u absolutely every other option but it doesn’t u could get a base zr2 and add the bison package but still not have a lot of other options. Looks really cool tho. That being said I’m in love with my ranger raptor!

The regular zr2 is 6 thousand dollars cheaper, the bison is literally the better off roader.

A normal ZR2 is better than the Bison you can get a lift kit and bigger tires from much cheaper

You don’t get the boron steel skid plates aev wheels, 35s clearanced fender wells to fit the 35s, the multimatic jounce control bump stops, full metal front and rear bumpers, it would be the same amount plus way more work doing it yourself and with no warranty

I do tend to agree with you & people mentioning the fender flares that clear 35s are being 🤡. I have a stock ZR2 with 35” Mickey Thompsons … no lift whatsoever & absolutely no rubbing with the OEM wheels. If you think I’m lying, then please check the Colorado Forums … few of us running 35s with no mods.

@mikeeihusen5194 There HAVE been big delays getting them to dealers, but most of that was due to the strike and our lovely government regulations. It did piss off alot of buyers who were given approximate delivery dates.
