I heard that most of what we would call a “work truck” are bought up by large construction companies buying in volume, so local dealers don’t get a lot of those to sell to your small contractors, and what there is available is marked up yet gets snapped up. That leaves only higher trims.

Joe, at the heart of the recipe for EV success, seems to be to not look back. Something it looks like a lot of people will like is the capacity of this truck to tow. Perfectly fine vehicle. Everything about it is genuinely good, range, appearance, utility, power, charge rate, etc. The only thing holding this vehicle and many other EV vehicles back are pricing. It's difficult for a buyer to access these even if they like them. If this was something like 58,500$ it'd probably see decent sales, I expect when discounts and mark downs happen in the future many will be willing to pick these up for 45-55k. But 75k, do I gotta say anything

Not just the price but the resale. So you pay around 100% more for the truck than a comparable ICE model then you go to trade and the dealer offers 150% less than you paid.

It is expensive, but people should consider the long-term cost-of-ownership. Over 120,000 miles you can easily save $15,000 in energy costs if you charge overnight, off peak. Plus easily a couple thousand extra in reduced maintenance. Also, the $58,995 EV 2WT trim comes out very soon. That will EASILY be cheaper than a base gasoline Silverado WT over the life of the vehicle.
