Mine Santa fe Mine SEL BLACK - MSRP - 36,450$ + (inland freight & handling - 1395$ + carpeted floor mats - 210$ )+ 38,055$ + plus (tint 499$, nitro fill 159$ , wheel locks , door cups 99$ , maint for life elit 995$ ) which brings total of 39906$ + plus TAX 2751$ + service fee 499$ + title fee 635 $ and the FINAL TOTAL = 43790.00$ Traded in our 2014 tucson for 7300$ ! (KBB value was 4000$ / if private is 6000$ ) Balance 36,498$ financed @ 6,9%

I would consider the SE with AWD, I live where it snows. I don’t need fancy extras. I drive a base SUV now. But I could consider the SEL too. I’m not a fan of roof rails actually. lol

SE is nicely equipped, if you don't need the extras you can get it in AWD for less than FWD SEL.

SEL is the way to go for this model.. just couple of thousands extra but it gives you the same premium feel

I got to have my sunroof. If they made an SEL convenience package, then that would be the sweet spot for me. But I do like the rugged appeal of the XRT trim and blacked-out badges and lettering.

I like this trim the most. I can upgrade the tires to all terrain and get my own lift added without spending the extra on the XRT trim.

True. But remember that XRT comes stsndard with AWD.

Appreciate that you have tested 3 trim levels. Driving them, can you tell if there is a change in the ride quality between the 3? Like noise cancelation or tire and wheel variations. Great work.

Thanks for watching. The SE and SEL were virtually identical. Because the Limited had bigger wheels and smaller sidewall it had a bit harder ride, but it felt better insulated as far as road noise. Or had better tires.

The C-pillar handle is only available on the XRT and Calligraphy trims.

I like this suv but 40K puts it in the category of others like the Pilot, Highlander, .Pathfinder and its sister Palisade. The thing it have going for it is it sits lower, its new design and the design is different. We have seen the boxy Honda element but it was limited in seating and we also had the Ford Flex. I think it will sell well. It does give buyers another option for what fits them best. Just wish these cars would be lots cheaper. a Santa fe just 5 years ago sold for less than 30K.

@@MattTheCarguy Yes the older model went up as well. Right before the pandemic my friend wife bought one an se for 23K plus fees. The se went up to around 28K. The sel is over 31K and higher for other trims. This new model starts at 36K plus fees without power seats and the higher trims your looking at 40 plus. So out the door ether trim your you looking at around 40K plus. thats like a 10K jump from the start of the previous model. SUV. Its grown a bit now so families looking for a cheaper suv have to turn to the Tucson. Its just not Hyundai all car brands have gone up and using the pandemic as an excuse. A civic is 30K a small entry level economic car.

It's disappointing that hyundai got rid of the package upgrades on the santa fe. Many ppl have chosen sel trims and got package upgrades for more features but not the limited trim pricing

Yes. Big price difference between these 2 trims. If they had the SEL premium at half the price with some most popular items it would sell. Maybe next year.

@@MattTheCarguy the time spent talking about pointless Hs could have been better spent on roof rail capacity, towing capacity, fuel capacity, features specific to se/sel/xrt/limited such as ambient lighting, wheels, interior materials and colors etc. but sure, H. great. awesome. just a little constructive criticism. if this is how you carry out videos then for me, personally, i dont find value in the non-sense and wont be coming back. if you were actively shopping would the mention of H make the slightest margin of difference to your purchase decision?
