Is the 2024 Hyundai Sonata N-Line the BEST midsize sport sedan?

FIRST LOOK: The Sonata is getting some changes for 2024 from Hyundai. The N-Line is the sport performance spec and has an all new front fascia, lighting and 19in wheels. On the inside you will be greeted by (2) 12.3in screens, N sport seats and panoramic sunroof. Under the hood is a 2.5L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 290HP & is mated to an 8-speed DCT. I swear, Kia/Hyundai/Genesis is the only manufacturer that is actually putting effort into design. Their pushing he envelope in design and succeeding more often than not for the past 5+years. Concerned about overall reliability still but hard to pass on these beautiful rides

I bought one a few weeks ago after comparing it to the Camry and K5 GT. I think it punches way above its price point with a sticker of 36K, and no additional dealer markup. I got mine for 35K and feel good about it.

The N line is good, solid mid size car. It was my choice until I found out it lacked many features. For about 1k more, the k5 is a better alternative. Folding mirrors, 360 degree camera, rear vents, ventilated seats, and heated steering wheel.

Yes but interest rates and the dealer pricing is still high so yes in theory the price point for what you get is great and I love the car. But I already priced one out and your payment is going to be anywhere from 600+. It just sucks right now the way the economy is to get a new car.I’m not paying BMW monthly payment for a $38,000 car

Well done? The sonata N line has a poor reliability consumer report, bad Dct transmission. Not an authe tic launch control . Overheating . They dis a good job by ripping people off making buyers believe this is a performance vehicle. Just google it . 35k plus taxes plus dealer fees, and gap insurance. Total 40k.

I currently have a 2021 in the gold color. I really like the interior design of the 2024, and love the way the exterior looks in red, and transmission blue. But they actually REDUCED features for the 2024 despite increasing the price. No more summer tire option, no more rear seat vents, no more auto dimming home link mirror. And they didn't add any highly-requested features, like the blind spot cameras or memory seats, which other markets get. So yeah, I'm kinda disappointed with this refresh. Refreshes are supposed to improve, not regress. That being said, the car itself is still good. I regularly run 13.3 @ 106mph in my 2021, stock. Way faster than its competitors like the v6 Camry and 2.0T Accord, which aren't even made anymore.

I test drove one of these and honestly loved every part about it EXCEPT the fact the driver's seat is 3-4" too high even at its lowest setting. If Hyundai could figure out how to make you feel like you're in the car rather than on it (Honda has managed it for years, c'mon guys) then it would honestly be super solid. The shifter is kinda wonky too but that would be easy to acclimate.

Sonata is the best in design, style & spacious inside. Only problem is if Hyundai start working on engines too it can stand out in comparison to Toyota. Common problem they have is engine oil leak, engine seize. Reliability issues.

Beautiful Color.!! But, I am so tired of seeing everyone moving away from nice sporty looking gauge clusters and replacing with a stupid LED screen. Just because you can put it on a screen, doesn't mean you should. I can't imagine anyone wanting a performance car, wants an LED display for the tach and speedometer and a clunky wide steering wheel wand instead of a shifter. Aside from that , it is a nice car but I think I'll avoid the wheel hop and head toward the AWD Genesis this time around.

Why are all the car manufacturers adding a turbo to the engines ? Just make the engine stronger so it doesn't need one. The turbo is nothing but a high temperature fan that cooks the oil and nearby wiring. Use a small block 283 and your good.

Small displacement direct injection turbo engines actually perform very well and get incredible fuel mileage and low emissions. Gotta do what the government says unfortunately or get out the business.
