Is the 2024 Mustang GT Worth the $50K?

I own a 2019 GT Premium PP1 with a few extra options and I work at a car dealership. I have driven 2 2024 GTs, both premiums, one PP. I do not think there is enough of a difference between my 19 and the 24s to justify spending $50k+. Don't get me wrong, the 24s are slick, but the interior is pretty much the same minus the center conlse area and dash/screen. Door panels, seats, and other areas in the car are almost identical to the 19. I like the front end on the 24s, but I think the previous gen bodies look more aggressive. Magneride in the 24s is more apparent, and if you don't have it, the car feels heavy and bouncy. Once again, the 24s are cool, but in my opinion, not worth the upgrade right now. Great video!

You showed an ecoboost s550 and said how the s650 looks different enough, but it does look kind of like the s550 GT, just in the same way that you said the s650 GT looks enough different than the S650 Ecoboost, the ecoboosts do not have the same grille that makes them both totally look different and no hood vents

Yes. Goodluck finding 480hp in a brand new car for less, let alone one that can be used as a daily with creature comforts like ventilated seats.

The problem is the gap between 315hp to 480hp is a giant gap in power combined with how much youre paying for this car. 400 hp is honestly a sweet spot with price and performance thats being neglected now. Personally think there should be a twin turbo V6 with similar hp to the precious GTs and the modern GT’s should just be the Dark Horse and for close to the same price. I get some people would complain about not getting a V8 at the $38-45 price point but honestly with emission, mpg, and the fact that you get a twin turbo V6(or god please a straight 6) that would be built to take more boost easy and build power easy as hell would be a godsend. I mean we accept a turbo 6 in a Raptor, i dont see why the middle trim for a mustang cant be a twin turbo 6er as well. Then come the next mustang generation after this where they drop the V8 its already an easier pill to swallow when even the higher horsepower variants are turbo 6ers

Mustang gt fastback is 42k msrp. The premium is 48k not 50k. I bought mine for 45k. Got the base model and added leather seats and a few other small options that I wanted

Actually the computer is locked on these new ones. Only whipple is able to for now so only boost for s650. I think s550 is the way to go. I have a Paxton supercharger gen 2 coyote making 670 wheel and it’s a blast.

Remember, someone being willing to loan you a nice car doesn’t mean it needs the highest praise out of gratitude. Worshipping every car loaned to you for a review makes these seem like you’re just grateful to drive cars and not actually being objective on reviews. This mustang doesn’t hold a candle to some of the others you’ve been in. This car is as fast as an 08 Mustang GT 500 or 08 corvette. That’s unacceptable for $50k on a 2024 base model GT. $30k Coyote > this restrictive mess

In all honesty, I've always dreamed of being in any cool car at all. So I'm loving every second of these cars more than you think. The car market is definitely super screwed overall, so I'm not being critical of the price right now. But fr the engine and sound is REALLY good in person, exterior is cool, but as mentioned I love a spoiler, and the interior is 10x better. I can be more critical, but I just freaking love cars lol

@@ProfessorDrivesI feel that. Had the same conversation yesterday when asked if I’m a fanboy of specific cars and in all reality I just love any engaging, quick, or aesthetically pleasing vehicle. Ideal garage is like Jay Leno, bit of everything. That said, even my z06 has its flaws and being willing to call them out is crucial for being a reliable car reviewer. I drove a 2020 Mustang GT 10-spd and hated it for traffic/speed limit driving but loved it for 1/4 mile pulls. That kind of data is important for performance enthusiasts.

No I don’t think it is. Nice car, but if anything I’d save up more for a C8 Corvette and a truck for a daily driver. Easy to get a quick side hustle started to get more money in one’s pocket.
