I love it. All the people saying its just a Mustang have no idea what they're talking about. I think it would be cool if wasnt a limited run, maybe produce 200 a year or whatever the goal is, but do it for a decade. Make it a staple of the brand.

A lot of people seem to contradict themselves on this fact even, they talk about the Mustang being an incredibly car, but the moment Ford actually makes it an incredible car with an incredible price, people wanna down play it and make it seem like "it's just a Mustang, it's just a Ford", but what does that even mean ? So Ford GT doesn't exist ? Ford racing history with their Bronco, Raptors, Ford rally cars like the Cossworth, Focus, drift Mustangs, there incredible reliable vehicles like the Crown Vic, their incredible engines like the Barra I6, Boss 429, 428 Cobra Jet, Flathead V8, 427 V8 Big-Block, Boss 302, 5.0 EFI High Output, 5.0 Coyote V8... All their special trims with Shelby etc. I could name every car in existence and people will still act like Ford is just Ford.

The street Ford GT had a $400K starting point back in 2016 and now go for north of $1 mill, while this has a $300K starting point, probably similar performance as the Ford GT (which won 24 Hours of Lemans & I was there!). Wish I had a spare $300K laying around! Love my 2019 Mustang GT w/Whipple Stage 2 6-speed!😀

Remember the Ford GT caught heat for it's 3.5 V6 EcoBoost with 647 horsepower. After winning races in GT GTE Pro and winning it's GTLM class at LeMans. The BOP started removing horsepower and adding weight so Ford decided to end the 4 car Ford's GTs racing program headed up by Chip Ganassi. Remember the street car started with a price tag of $500,000. Now these cars are bringing 1 million dollars and up. The Mustang GTD Supercar is like a Ford GT with a Mustang body. I'm guessing will it not only be a track beast, but a strong investment car. At a time Ice performance vehicles are under attack. Ford steps up and builds this Amazing 800+ Horsepower Mustang Supercar along with their Dark Horse R, Dark Horse GT3 and Dark Horse GT4. Good luck Ford beating the 7 minute lap at the Nurburgring.

I hope, what we’re seeing is an evolution of the car. Just like GM built the C8 with a rear engine to give it more balance, Ford looks to be on that path albeit slightly better IMHO. So, maybe (fingers crossed) we will see the Mustang production models be offered with this type setup at a cheaper price tag? One can only hope, right? C’mon Ford, let’s bring this to the masses. 😊

My hot take: The GT-D will become the only gas mustang eventually. Low production will allow them to produce them with epa. Regular s650 well go hybrid or just straight electric. Can't wait to see the future of mustang and love everything they're doing

It's awesome mustang! However, if I could afford it I still wouldn't get buy it because of my preference for manual transmission. I know that all that power is more compatible and makes more sense on an automatic but driving a manual transmission is a lot more fun for me.

I'm old and retired now but my favorite car was my '67 HO Firebird. Bought it in '73 owned it till '92. 400 4sp 411's and otherwise stock. The car beat the crap out of you, made you work, was kind of scary (not fast just loose) and always started and ran but kept you on your toes driving it. Absolutely an experience to drive every time. I loved it. I've owned 15 cars. '18 F-150 stx 4wd right now and happy. Me....pretty hard core Ford guy.

If Ford wants to get into the exotic game to compete with European cars, it needs a flat plane crank, so it sounds exotic and not like a muscle car. It’s a great engine, but it’s beyond me as to why they didn’t use the Shelby GT 350 flat plane which is exotic. Doesn’t make sense to me.

It is the most Technically Advanced Ford . (period) The Rear Suspension is a Combination of F1, or Baja / Dakar. The rear Transmission is off the C7 Corvette, and the Licensing to use it is due to Ford Bailing out GM in 2019 due to the Research & Development of C8 when 2 of them Burned in Winter Snow Condition's. China & Europeans Wanted to Buy them to eliminate them. Like how StellAtnis has Eliminated Chrysler and in process of Eliminating Dodge as it only has the Hornet for 2024.. Ford stepped up and Ford acquired GM 10 Speed off C8 for the GT500 I would never be able to afford the Mustang GTD... and Quite Frankly wouldn't buy it if I could. I will only Buy 3rd Pedal Manual Transmission. Currently, I Own a 2022 Roush Mustang and will never sell it. It is an Un-Badged Mach1 Handling Pack. It has the Tremec Rev-Match 6 Speed it has the MagneRide Suspension It also has the Limited Slip Intercooled Torsen Rear Differential ( GT500 & Mach1 Handling Pack ) It is also the S/N : 22.0001.450R & for this reason won't sell it for $1 million USA. I am Living beyond expectations. In December 2022 I viewed a Video of Steve Saleen mentioning his cars are off BASE Mustang GT, and the Brake Rotors are 15 inch round. My Roush has 16.5 inch round Rotors with Footlong Brembo Calipers. Since Saleen starts with the Base GT. They don't have any of the performance feature my Roush has.. and I investigated Shelby America and they are the same only offer to upgrade the Horsepower on your GT, Mach 1, GT350 or GT500. as Does Hennessy Up the Horse Power not the Braking System. 👨🏻👍🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩 Cool channel. Should I be a Magazine / Automotive Journalist and get paid? Incidentally, on the S650 behind the Front Wheel Fender there's a huge opening where rocks and moisture collects, thru a Channel Runing under the Door sill to the Back, and may cause eventual Rust Corrosive Damage in the long term. Might recommend installing S550 Fender Shroud, or Mudd Guards.

@@S2KCYA This is not a Ford GT but its special in its own way. It’s basically a street legal GT3 race car. The C8 Z06 is cheaper than a Porsche or Lamborghini yet people will still buy them over the C8 because at the end of the day the c8 is still a Chevrolet lol.
