FIRST LOOK: THE Macan EV is here and Porsche wants to bring electrified performance in a SUV. On the outside the Turbo has a unique from facia, 21in wheels, and FULL LED lighting. On the inside you will be greeted by an interior that is wrapped in leather. Powering the Macan EV Turbo are (2) electric motors producing 630HP. As always, outstanding get-together discussion. I have been a Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz enthusiast for over 4 decades. I have had my share of Ferraris, of which I still own 3, Aston Martins, Range Rovers, and Jaguars to name a few. Just like you gentlemen, I have been blessed to be able to purchase any car I want. But to be honest with you, I am not too enthusiastic to pay high prices for some of these cars nowadays. I had a Porsche Taycan and I lost a lot of money. It was horrible. To make matters worse, for 2024/2025 MY, Porsche has increased the price. Why? The used Taycan inventory is out of control, there are still thousands of new 2023 and 2024 MY left in their inventories, and in my opinion, people will walk away. My daughter “was” interested in the new 2025 Porsche Macan. While this car is new, the dealer was not interested in making any deals, given that I have purchased 10 Porsche from them within the last 14 years. Regardless of brand, these companies are out of control with their process, most have awful lease programs, and they wonder what they are not selling. With extremely high prices and significant short-term depreciation, I am not going to spend money anymore, even though I can. Numbers don’t speak to me anymore. It has become corporate greed.

This is going to be a fast and fun to drive performance crossover from Porsche. The high instant torque means it will rip of the line. Throttle response will be excellent like all EVs. Porsche already has a lot of pre-orders so overall sales will be strong.

Joe great video however I have zero reason to own an EV. I drove a Tesla S P85D for a year. It was Quick & fun for about 3-4 months and then I didn’t like it anymore; boring‼️ Sold it and got my wife an Audi S4!!! I never ever will desire an EV. I do like the 630 horsepower; however, and it looks great. I have driven several (ICE) Macans and they were wonderful cars. I used to tell friends that it would be the best daily driver if I didn’t have a Porsche Turbo S or Corvette Z06 or Mustang, 😆😝😜. Porsche may have jumped the gun by turning this vehicle to an EV instead of a hybrid. I have heard that the Boxster EV is gonna be fast. I am not an EV fan at all‼️‼️‼️😎 I look forward to your video when you drive it. I drove the Tacan and couldn’t wait to return it back to all the doom and gloom people of earth who believe the lie about global warming…. as it is supposed to snow tonight here in upstate New York on 1 April. Oh well, thanks for updating us. The Macan looks to be built well by Porsche. Great video filming Lori!!!! You both are the BEST‼️‼️❤️👍👊💪🇺🇸

EV sales are slowing down. Incentives are being reduced by States. No ICE could be a disastrous decision by Porsche. And this platform can’t be converted for ICE, so no going back on this decision. A hybrid solution would have been smarter, like the Cayenne.

I don’t think electrics are not the future. I do think they need to slow down the inevitable a lot until the public becomes comfortable with EVs, as well as the charging infrastructure to be more solidly in place. Many people are still afraid of electrics and not quite ready.

The biggest issue in EV are depreciation and the worry about battery warranty and battery replacement cost. For example my parents bought audi e-tron 2019 with +80k and now its worth 30k at most. You are going to lose a lot of money with EV when you sell it.

I agree to an extent, but the public isn’t quite ready. The charging infrastructure needs to be more solid. Once that happens, you’ll hear more positive stories about road trips about charging which will drive word of mouth, the positive news published about owning an EV, etc. Hearing dreadful and awful stories of Tesla owners piling up at charging stations in the dead of below zero winter weather running out of juice waiting in a long line to get charged doesn’t help that narrative exactly.
