1723 all around thinking I can do a 7 bed layout but my surround are too close to the rear I sold 1 I tried use them as atmos but they are too heavy to put above my head I want to hear movie not feel the movie if it falls down

I switched out three klipsh towers for three Arendal THX towers on my LCR and they are awesome! They are super clear even in full range up to 120db . They make me realize how harsh my Klipsh are at high volume . I will slowly replace all 16 speakers with Arendal in the next few months . 9.4.6 configuration.

Great configuration! I’m wired for 9.2.6 but only using 7.2.4. Same thing happened for me though….I knew my Polks were super bright but using the 1723 showed how really bright they are.

@@hatoraidcowboy I was actually kind of disappointed at first because the Arendal didn’t “Sound” as loud as my Klipsh speakers until I measured the DB and realized they were super clean at much higher DB and that the loudness I was perceiving was actually distortion.

I have all Arendal 1723 S models for LCR and surround 1723. By far the best speakers I’ve ever heard. I had the SVS ultra theater set up and the 1723s center beats the SVS ultra center by miles. It sounds like an actual cinema

@@hatoraidcowboy the emotiva xmc2. I never got any of the bugs so I lucked out. Incredible processor. Now it’s discounted by $1000. I had the Denon 4700 in pre pro mode and then the marantz 7706 which was really nice but the xmc2 blows both of these out of the water. Different league

I think you will man. They wont be bright like the Klipsch tho. They are neutral so you wont get fatigued at louder levels. Great speakers and congrats on your purchase! I’m getting the 1723 Monitors next. What amp you using?

D sonic 7 channel amp..I never gave class D a chance. I was gonna try the parasound a51 but it was 5 channels..I had a emotiva 7 channel and monolith 7x..i chose this amp due to the ample power..can't wait 2 set it up

I like the Arendal speakers. I haven't had the chance to hear them in person but they seem like some great speakers. I ended up going with Definitive Technology in my set up. I was able to find some open box at a great discount. Plus they are IMAX ENHANCED certified

Hey! What do you think is the better match for the Arendal 1723 series / has the more pleasant sound for home theatre? The Marantz Cinema or new Denon AVR series? I can not decide. I like a neutral, slightly warmer sound...

I had the Marantz Cinema 60 and it had a very warm neutral sound. I havent had any experiences with Demon in my theater.

I have LCR 1723S and 1961 rears Sounds great, although I somehow feel, the sound stage is wide it stays a bit "at the front"

Hello! I run all my speakers ported. I did run them sealed a bit for testing. However I prefer ported for the lowest bass extension. But they sounded good sealed too. Very quick and tight for movies and music

Hello! I run mine with both ports open for the lowest extension but i still cross them over at 80hz with a sub.

Actually they are very easy to drive even if they are 4 Ohms, majority of 8 Ohms, Receivers or Amp will drive them easily. Pre- pros do not drive anything, they do not have am amp, Pre-pros are connected to Amplifiers. I own the 1723 THX towers and center channel. Plus others kin my studio.

Typically 4 Ohm speakers require more power to perform best. 8 Ohm speakers dont require much power to drive the speaker.

That’s a loaded question. It sounds like you’re a Klipsch guy. Nothing wrong with that. Only YOU can decide why a speaker is better. I cant decide that for you. This video is my personal review.
