Welcome to Kyle's Audi S3 8P!
Those who know us will know we are not the biggest VAG (Vw Audi Group) fans, but after riding passenger in Kyle's example, we had to do a video on it.
In standard form, the Audi S3 may be the greatest hot Hatch money can buy. Offering Audi's AWD (all wheel drive) quattro system, pushing around 265bhp & ride quality to enjoy on your daily commute as standard, the argument us a strong one!
Much like us, Kyle doesn't like keeping his cars standard. he has carried out a great deal of work to this example. The car now sits at Stage 2+ with a confirmed 400+bhp power figure.

I have a DSG model. It's very quick when the temps are right outside but extremely dull. Wish mine were manual so there was a bit more engagement. I'm stage 2+, coilovers, anti roll bar upgrades, polybushes - handling greatly improved but steering is VERY numb and the rack is slow which is such a shame. Does what it does well though and comfortable daily

That's exactly why I sold my TTRS. They are very good at doing what they do, but as you said it's just not very rewarding to drive. Thanks Ken

@@accelerateyoutube Yea I am moving in six months so hard to justify selling my car and losing a bunch of money on mods just to have a different driving experience for a few months lmao. But I would not go Audi again unless it was RS4/RS6 for a family car. Will be going BMW M cars or modding M sport models (m235i, m335i etc etc) in the future.

@@Eyespy666 I think the guy knows how to use the s tronic in his stage 2 +. S tronic is faster than manual but I wouldn't swap my manual for an S tronic. The sound on a manual gear change and the overrun when changing down sounds and feels amazing. Dsg farts sound like well farts.

Wont be over 400 on a stock K04. 380 max from a k04 on the s3 variant ar rtech. If he has got a dyno graph for 400 then its from somewhere else with a massively generous dyno

For me it's just another vag group chassis in a posh frock. Can call it an Audi but could also call it a seat/vw/Skoda there all the same and all feel the same numb and dull. Yes it's very fast and very capable but what modern hot hatch isn't. All modern cars feel diluted and heavy due to all the health and safety brigade systems and when you add the vag group under steer into the mix I just find them boring and don't get me started on pops bangs and stage 2 sequential indicators Most of the time these cars are just over priced unreliable fashion accessories for people who wish to look cool. I will give credit to the dsg gearbox's though as there a great bit of technology now there reliable Being a spray painter I've driven 1000s of cars over the years and the 90s hot hatches is where the fun is at. For me anyway

The car was dynoed at 406bhp (we later found out the dyno sheet was in the glove box) I don't know what else to tell you. - Drew

Do your research and you’ll see a ko4 will pull a lot more I’m sure your thinking about a ko3

Stock ko4 highest numbers are around 380bhp they do not flow enough to make 400bhp. With BBT core upgrade they can make around 400 so it's possible that this turbo had that upgrade if its truly making 406 (otherwise its an optimistic dyno)

@@jonah9165 Exactly, and we need to remember that at 380bhp the turbo its maxed out and it will wear very quick.

My 12' S3 DSG Stage2+ with all supporting mods, HPFP, FPRV, FMIC, CAI, BCS TBE including Stage3 Turbo Inlet/Outlet Pipes, DSG Map and the K04 Turbo made 374 bhp and 421lb/ft at R-Tech which is really the upper limit of both the KO4 and then DSG without updated clutch packs. Very few get higher than this without a TTE420+ and most don't get above 400/410lbft without it either so got very lucky really.
