Dang, it's awesome you did this video! I had an orange cyber oni just like that and ended up trading it into the store cause it was way more stable than I was expecting. I should really try out an aura version.

Yes. Love the Aura Construct. If it’s too stable, check out the Mantras. They are even more flippy.

Yes to thought space thursday! Got construct in 4 plastics, Ethos and Aura being my favorite. My Nebula ethereal and regular ethereal seem to fly alot more ovestable. Great mold.

I bag an Aura Construct too. Turns some from flat with my armspeed too, but never flips over from a slight hyzer.
@PartTimeDiscGolf Жыл бұрын
Agreed. It’s a great hyzer-flip or s-curve disc.

I just picked up an Aura Construct and it is definitely flippy like yours. It's a fantastic disc and has more hook up at the end than my Mantra that has similar turn. I actually have a TSA video idea for you if you're open to suggestions. I noticed between the Mantra and Construct, the Mantra seems to have a slightly wider rim a lot like the Animus. It's definitely wider than the Coalesce which is also a 9 speed for example. I would love to see speed and distance comparisons between the Mantra (9 speed), Construct (10 speed) and Animus (11 speed) in Aura plastic since rim width is usually how people determine a disc's speed. I personally feel like Mantras are basically distance drivers in disguise.

Love it. I am always open to ideas. Thanks.

I still think MVP mixed up discs, accidentally sending what should have been Apex Diamondbacks (-2,2) to TSA, and what should've been Aura Constructs (-1,2) to Mint.
@PartTimeDiscGolf Жыл бұрын
That would be so crazy if that was true. But it would make some sense. 😂

I swear my apex diamondback flies like a -1, 2. It'd be wild, but I could totally see it.

Thought Space Thursdays sounds fun but will make all the other days jealous. How do you like the Ethos Construct for forehands?
@PartTimeDiscGolf Жыл бұрын
I usually forehand Ethos Votums. I haven’t really tried the Ethos Construct a ton on forehands. 🤔 maybe I should try it out.
@JustBBlunt Жыл бұрын
@@PartTimeDiscGolf I've been using the Animus on forehand recently and wondered if the Construct would be a good option for a slightly more understable line.

@@JustBBlunt I've found the Maria Oliva Nebula Ethereal Construct to be great on the forehand lines you're talking about

I think that's a very late fade. I personally prefer something like the Leopard, albeit not as fast, with a turn that starts early and is more gradual during all of it's flight. Seems more useful to me than a last instant turn. I like that the Construct holds an anny though. May be beyond normal mortals' armspeed to do that, not sure.

You mentioned getting the same lines as the Mantra with the Aura ones in this video, and I've kinda noticed the same. You've thrown both a lot more than I have, so I'm curious on your thoughts. Is there something you'd say one or the other is better for, when putting together a bag? Do you bag both? Tournament season starts this weekend. I'm struggling to decide which of the two goes in my bag, but I don't have enough throws in with either, to really pick one over the other yet...

I fluctuate between the Nebula Aura Mantra and the Aura Construct…Also the Nebula Ethereal Mantra. Those Mantra are a touch less stable than the Aura Construct. So if I am in the woods where wind doesn’t matter, I am fine bagging the Mantras and tearing up the woods with flip up shots. If the course is more open of it windy, I would lean on the Aura Construct more for the same shots. Does that answer your question at all?
@Skamanda11 ай бұрын
@@PartTimeDiscGolf yep, thanks! I mostly use my flat Ethos and Ethereal Constructs for open shots, so other than tailwinds, the Aura wouldn't come out except in the woods. Guess I'll have to throw them all together on some wooded courses soon - I'm still waiting on a nebula aura Mantra to arrive (thanks for the recommendation on that one! 😁)

The fuck does "flippy" mean? I mean sure ive never seen, im gonna guess, frisbee golf? before but id have called the ones the dropped to the left much faster more "flippy" than the other ones that kinda pulled right and then power dived into the bush if i was guessing what flippy was
@jamesfarabaugh6669 Жыл бұрын
If you look at the angle of the disc as he throws it sometimes the left side is tilted down (hyzer angle), sometimes it's flat, and sometimes the right side is tilted down (anhyzer angle). Just like a jet banking left or right, if you tip the left wing down (hyzer angle) the jet banks left; if you tip the right wing down it banks right (anhyzer). A "flippy" disc will want to try to "flip over" to the anhyzer angle during its flight. If you release it on a hyzer angle it might "flip up to flat" or "turn over" (flip past flat to anhyzer). A disc that is NOT flippy is more resistant to this. It does not want to go into anhyzer, and if released on anhyzer it wants to fight out of it sooner.
@PartTimeDiscGolf Жыл бұрын
James explained it pretty well. Basically if I am throwing a disc back hand (back of my hand leads the disc) and I am right handed, a flippy disc will go to the right if thrown flat. A stable disc will go straight and then end to the left. An overstable disc will go left. So the terms Flippy, Stable and Overstable are used a lot in the disc golf world.
