Is the AWS AI Practitioner Certification ACTUALLY Worth it?

The simple answer to the question, "Is the certification worth it?" is no. However, the knowledge you gain while preparing for the certification is definitely valuable, especially in areas that are heavily tested, such as AWS Bedrock. Whether or not you choose to pursue the certification is up to you, but AWS Bedrock is quickly becoming a de facto standard, much like EC2 and S3. So, it's definitely worth learning this service for the future.

I passed it last week. I did AWS’s free training and some Udemy practice tests. It was harder than I thought it would be. I only got 72% but I didn’t study too hard. FYI I have the Solutions Architect Associate Cert.

@@dharshinilibra5411 I just passed the AWS AI exam a few days ago, spent easily 1- 2 months of effort ploughing thru the material. Agree it is harder than I thought. I passed the cloud practitioner exam last year.

@@dharshinilibra5411 Hi, my preparation was a little sporadic, hence I don't have a good gauge of number of hours per day. This is what I did for my preparation, according to the recommended 4-step plan: 1) Go thru all the FREE material under Step 2 - that probably took up around 20 hrs, including note-taking - done in July; 2) Upon launch of Study Guide in mid August, I watched all the videos under Step 1 - Standard Exam Prep Plan, to cross-reference with my sketchy notes - that probably took another 2-3 weeks or another 20 hrs; 3) Do the Exam Prep Official Practice Question Set - that was pretty easy; 4) Go back to skim thru all the FREE material under Step 2, to fill in any knowledge gaps from watching the videos - probably 8 hrs 5) Schedule the exam for a date about 10 days later; 6) Last few days, focus on just browsing thru my notes again and again - likely 10- 15 hrs (Mine is FREE account, so I didn't do that Exam Prep Official Pretest - it might have given me more clues on how the real exam looks like, if I had upgraded my account.) The above assumes you already have cloud knowledge (Regions, AZ, edge location, EC2, S3 buckets, etc); otherwise may still need to take that AWS Cloud practitioner exam first... as I found some overlap with the Cloud material studied last year. I got this cert as my second one after the Cloud Practitioner one, i found this easier than the cloud practitioner since its the same difficulty level and less content. Plus since it is in beta it is cheaper than a full release exam. But i found it to be worth it because of the things that i learned "of" such as sagemaker and bedrock/etc. It gave me a few ideas for personal projects that use one or two AI Services and do some relatively simple process. The project ideas i came up with once i learned some of the AI Capabilities from studying for this exam might be the highest point of value to gather from this.

I've passed AI Practitioner Exam 2 days ago... It was my first-ever Certification from AWS. It took me about a Month preparation in which I had done the AI Practitioner Course from Stephane Maarek, as well as the Practice Tests from him and it really helped me in the exam. Highly Recommended.

@@___DannyBoyka Going for this Certification directly depends upon individual's Capabilities, for some it was easy and cherry on top, but for others, it was hard and challenging. You can try this certification directly if you have some basic knowledge regarding AIML because there might be some questions which can throw you off for sure, and don't worry if you don't have basic knowledge of AIML, Stephane Maarek's Course on Udemy will definitely help you with the Basics of AIML... But my main advice would be to do the Practice Exams from Stephane Maarek and a sample 20 Question test from AWS after completing the course from Stephane Maarek, it'll be helpful.

I passed my AI cert this week, i used the aws skill builder training and practice tests on Udemy, i found the questions quite different but thankfully i got through. Im looking at doing the associate ML cert now so id love to see more videos on that.

I just passed this weekend, 10/27. I gave myself a 24 hour break and just went in with the knowledge I had. I didn’t have any of those new style questions on my test. I did have like handful of multiple answer questions. I tried to use udemy for practice test but I found there practice test were weirdly worded so after a while I skipped them. I took the AWS enhanced training class and went through your notes. A few of your practice questions were on my test. I’m pmp that has experience with traditional infrastructure and networking projects. I got laid off last May and I found in my region (Philadelphia) of the country there are not that many infrastructure jobs in the market. Cloud infrastructure seems to be a big draw. So im looking at being an AWS solution architect and to get into security.

I'm currently a CS college student and have some experience with Full Stack web development. i still have 1.5 years left in my bachelors degree and as i have got to know that these certifications only hold for 3 years. So should i take the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam or should i first spend 6 months learning basics of concepts for cloud like networking, OS, Virtualization etc and then prepare & take this test in my last semister.

Take the cloud practitioner now and do an associate certificate just before your last semester. Also it shouldnt take you 6 months to learn basic cloud concepts. Between 1 to 3 months is enough depending on your workload.

Still wondering why AWS created this mini version of their own Machine Learning Specialty certification. Passing this certification won't make you or place you anywhere. The exam just touches upon Bedrock/SageMaker/LLM capabilities. It's just a very fundamental beta exam. I passed the exam last week.

Why? Because there's a market for it. AI is hot and the ML Associate is inaccessible to your average Joe, which is the target market for the new certification. Let's face it, even the Cloud Practitioner certification is for non-technical people. I think the idea is to give the business types some badge saying they know AI or AWS solely for career advancement purposes. People already in it start at the associate level.
