Great video. Make sure you get a quote from your insurance agent before you buy also because insurance is a nightmare in the mountains. You have to go through the fair plan and most cases and then add an additional liability policy separately.

so far I've been OK getting insurance but its def more expensive than it used to be.

Do lenders require a special fire insurance? What is a typical cost for insurance annually?

Yes lenders will usually require fire insurance. I just did a sale and the buyers home insurance and fire insurance combined was $4k a year on a standard 3 bed 2 bath home near the village.

Left a 1000 foot house bought a 5200 foot house our kids were raised here, no political nonsense, cheap gas and housing.BTW our second date was skiing up in Big Bear! Know the area well. Had friends that owned in Fawnskin and Arrowhead, right on the lake. They all left also.
