@@ezeechords3578 The GT-1 is an extremely capable unit in the right hands, I know several pro players who use them as their main unit for live use and recording, it amuses me beyond words as to how easily misunderstood and incorrectly set and used they are by most, they are not simply for beginners as implied I assure you, I've spent considerable time learning how to set them for professional use and I've placed mine under lock and key when live particularly because of my tweaks I've programmed personally within it's parameters, I put mine into an empty boutique head including a likewise very reputable combo amp and pulled the wool over the eyes of countless amp and tube-amp only users, they are extremely embarrassed for mocking them I can guarantee you, they are only presenting a rough ball park via their factory programmed presets is all. I wish I was able to avail my personal presets, but I'm not willing to for any price because I've spent so much time on developing them to suit my stuff, I use mine constantly and it's replaced all my amps and outboard units for a few years now, they really are mind-blowing when you learn their real full potential for live and recording purposes, I use mine with a Freq Out pedal when live via a Boss FA-1 ...it's murdering everything ...and I mean it! ✅

I literally just purchased the Boss GT-1 yesterday and received it today. It is so awesome! A band mate and I were looking at his pedal. He didn't know it had a looper and a drum machine. It's a cheaper one on Amazon. I WAS going to get that one but I saw this one available. I do like boss products, having even previously owned the Boss Katana 50 guitar amp. So I decided to spend a little more and the the GT-1. Noting that I have a drummer in this band, I'm not needing a drum machine so it was easy to make the choice. I am pleased!

Years ago, I had a Blues Junior III and a few pedals. Then one day I decided to get the GT-1 and sell my pedals. Then I decided to get the Katana and sell the BJIII and GT-1. Then I decided to get a DSL40 and some pedals. Then I sold the DSL 40 and got an EVH Iconic 15. So, I sold the EVH and got a Blues Junior IV. Now I'm going to get the GT-1. Full circle. All I have right now is a Blues Driver, I won't sell that, and a few Behringer pedals. I really liked the GT-1.

Can you use this as a stomp box for effects? Like instead of each switch switching presets with amps and ir’s, use each foot switch to just turn on separate effect pedals ? Currently looking for a multi-effects unit to replace all my separate modulation/reverb/delay pedals and would love if I could use this instead.

You can, by using the buttons above the switches. You can assign you effects under distortion, delay, mod etc, and you can switch on/off by pushing these buttons. Think of the gt1 as a table effect more than a foot-controller.

I will be back 15 years from now. Then, the statement of "I found this old fellow in the attic" will make more sense. The boss GT- 1 is selling in every big retailer today so is not old. That's a lot of processor for the money. I favor Zoom products and the G3n has superior features from the model line, but only 5 amps and 5 cabinets which for $200 aint shit. Boss is every bit as good and sometimes better and the same price point gives you more models. The rest of the effects IDGAF since I rarely use modulation and very little time based effects, so then it comes down to volume pedal and wah. The zoom leaves it upon you to buy an external expression pedal making Boss the clear winner.
