Still find it funny reading the patch notes for the permabrew though on the wiki. V35: We feel like permabrew relies too much on chinook in order to get the most out of the tower so we are increasing the range in order to reduce the reliance on other towers. V44: We feel like permabrew giving a range increase hurts what should be a very good synergy with chinook so we are removing the bonus range and giving a discount so you can pair it with a chinook.

if your tack can't deal with frozen ballons if you freeze some it kills their pierce by having it just hit them.

Embrittlement fixes this problem because frozen Bloons become vulnerable to sharp-type attacks (like tacks, for example). It's only the tier 3 and below that do this.

A lot of the guides are also so old that 2-0-5 tack was the legit goat, but it's fallen hard. While 2-0-5 is still really good for bosses, 0-2-5 tack just dominates the 90's. 2-0-4 overdrive though is still much superior.

Its so niche imo nerfing range because they wanted the chinook tower position changing ability to be faster, and it being a boss specific change in terms of the pbrew range. I dislike the nerf, IMO Perma brew is alreayd a late game option and id rather have the range than the price cut. Yes, I know you can use the heli pilot, however, there is a lot less range and you have to change its location a ton to get everything.
