Is the Christopher Ward Pan Am the best GMT from a microbrand?

They do another really nice GMT slightly homaging the explorer 2 1655, called the C65 Trident GMT. My favourite watch using this movement is the Steinhart Ocean Vintage GMT. Have mine mounted proudly on a UWC grey nato of course!

Alex I love the C65 case designs. They are finished better than most watches in that price range. Enjoy the UWC! We have some new offerings coming out soon at Hodinkee.

Chris Ward is offering a lot of value these days. They also make an in-house movement and have done some interesting collaborations.

Divers extension on the clasp but no screw down crown. Doesn't make a lick of sense. Still a nice piece.

Screw down crown is not necessarily needed to be water resistant. But I do agree with.

very well executed watch - also love how thin an tapered the lugs are. too bad the bezel isn't bi-directional and that lume is a lackluster.

Luc I agree. I believe them lume is a C1, which isn't the brightest by any means but it looks better in daylight instead of a green tint. I might get one of these for myself soon.

in regards to the khaki hamilton review, I think it was one of the most informative videos available. Theres a lot of circlejerk around certain watches and you were the victim of it

I still maintain that Bernhardt does the best GMT watch for the price with a modified ETA movement.

Terry that is a statement I also agree with. I do believe the finish work on the CW case a little better but the Bernhardt does a lot of things right with their design.

ToxicNATOs I’ve not had my hands on a CW. The way their name is placed on their dials really bothers me. I think it’s the lack of symmetry that really does it for me.
