Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take. Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movie, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. I read some of the comments. I think it’s very interesting that people run to the defense of the church or “those bad churches”, but haven’t examined the culture. It’s giving coddle and resist accountability. It’s giving the very reason this series exist in the first place.

This is a tough conversation because we're all screw ups. Even Moses wasn't allowed to enter the promised land. We all fall short of the glory of God. That said, we can't use that as an excuse to not be humble, to not carry ourselves in a godly manner. We have to home each other accountable and in turn, they'll hold us accountable.

What made Moses' journey stop short of the promised land was when he and his people left Egypt they took Egypt along with them. Today we face the same challenges, we left the plantation but brought the ways of the plantation owners with us.

I'm 42 and I'm experiencing some of these incidents, as we speak. Pastors, judgmental staff and the arrogant ones are broken but speaking to congregants through personal hurt and trauma. It's odd but the veil has been lifted; exposure is showing it's self in many forms. The heavenly bound high minded people within the antiquated church services are just as bad. I just engage online...

Vernetta Resell, l agree with you on that. I once attended a Black Church where the Pastor would be furious with you for interrogating him. Can you imagine being told by the Pastor to shut up, with all the members looking on? Some view it as just church hurt, but church hurt can be residual. How about having the pastor become upset with you for not obeying him and complying, so once there's an altar call, he repeatedly has other Men line you up directly under a ceiling fan, so that when they raise your hands for prayer 🙏, the fan blades almost chops your fingers off? This happening repeatedly because of you not obeying, and asking too many questions. Some don't seem to understand that this can leave an indelible scar. It can be long-term. Just praying 🙏 and asking God for a better church, is not the answer. What if you prayed and ask God before you ended up at this particular church? Seem like to me, Pastors need to be held accountable. With them knowing that you can't do nothing about it but move on to another church, will not resolve this issue. People are crying out around the world 🌍 about this type of problem taking place in the church. I'm my own Pastor, and l have a decent education, with two degrees. I don't believe l need a Pastor.

I typed in the word "Hypocrites" and this was the first video that selected to view. I respect and appreciate the honesty from the people in this video, and the people in this video do not act like any of the Church people that I have met before, to be honest, I feel led to be honest with my feelings about the "infamous word hypocrite." I would respectfully like to have a respectful, non-judgmental conversation with anyone who can relate with being in the place that I am currently in. Someone, anyone who could relate to some of what I'm about to share, who could possibly help me understand why so many people who claim to be followers of a God or of God's Love, have often times treated me with such "malice or discontent." I only mean to state the few half wit people who I no longer communicate with. All the hurtful people who claim to "follow God" but also appear to lack all common sense and decency. Honestly, I agree with the person in this video who stated he had to talk to God the way he would have had a conversation with an earthly father. And with that bein stated, I don't feel like I need to bow my head or get on my knees in order to talk and reach out to my Creator,. I often find myself looking up at the sky and imagining God as being part of everything and everyone, because we are all connected in fabric to the World in which we all originated from. Most of the family or people I have met would tell me "the devil" has his hold on me for sharing my non-scriptural opinions, but at least I'm honest, and I'm sure the God of our Creation would much rather have my honesty, than the many fake uncomfortable smiles that I've received, or pardon my comment, the often " livid ghouls" I've introduced myself to, while trying out different Churches. Recently I faced near death from Covid Pneumonia, and in that process I am trying to reestablish a foundation of respect and honesty with my mother whom I had not spoken to in over three years due to our religious indifferences. I had not spoken to my mother in over three years because of a nervous breakdown I'd had as a result of the topic of abuse and "religion." I have always loved and respected my mother but after my breakdown I shut down emotionally, and the nightmares and flashbacks soon followed. I broke ties with my mother because I did not feel she had a right to "preach" what she had never completely practiced. My mother, loving at times as she was, and even as hard working as she was, she knowingly Married an unyoked, demolish womanizing often anti-Semitic man whom she allowed to physically and severely verbally abuse me my entire childhood and teen years. Parallel to the abuse, my mother hid from her family and Christian friends the horror that she was allowing to happen in her own home I remember my mother, like my father was always judging other people by their lifestyle choices or judging people who they did not find expectable . She was a devout Christian, at one point she even ministered to women who were in Prison, she was fiercely independent, but her excuse for staying in an abusive relationship was that "God had never given her confirmation or permission to divorce." For many years I grit my teeth every time someone would remind me how much God loves his people, and especially the "unsaved." I do honestly want a relationship with God, but I will most likely go to hell because I denounce the hypocritical, jealous, malice God by Church Preachers who were known womanizers and devout racist! Preachers who would bang their fist while fiercely describing what God commanded, or the "sugar coated" less violent Bible stories that were described during Sunday School. I was terrified that God would send me to hell in an instant for questioning what I did not understand, a God that at times acted in a way that any Worldly father would be condemned to prison for being a child abuser. I mean let's be honest, would any parent here truly be willing to send your own children to a fiery pit of hell for all eternity if your child did not chose to believe in God or ask "God for forgiveness into their heart? And btw, I DID ask God for forgiveness and into my heart at the age of eight, and I truly practiced his faith, but which later led to a lifetime of guilt and mistrust in family. From the ages of eight to nine years old I prayed nightly for forgiveness having been molested by one of my Uncles, and the guilt that entailed and followed led me to distrust what I would call "Church People." During the time I was abused I never once having confirmation from God telling me that it was not my fault that I was molested. I did not receive any comfort, and I truly believed in God when I was eight to nine years old. When I hit puberty I put up a wall of protection around my heart, and I distrusted God and anyone who worshipped him. I don't believe it is normal to worship someone who says they are your "father." Worshipping involves Deities, I don't believe our Creator expects us to "worship" him, because in our hearts no one acting on good faith expects another soul to worship them, or their ideas. Most of us appreciate our Freedoms to choose, so it is ironic that in the Bible it states that "God gives us free will. " If we were created solely for worship then we would all be identical, and none of us would be able to understand the meaning of free will. There are so many parts of the Bible that make God appear like a "tyrant" and coming from a place of child abuse and from sexual abuse as well, there are so many parts of the Bible that describe God in the Old Testament as a "jealous" God, as an Angry God, and then there were the sacrificial offerings and the first born taken who didn't have the blood of the lamb or something to that effect on their doors, and so many disturbing tales that followed. I understand that God allowed his only begotten Son to be given as a sacrifice, which is a sad but story of triumph as well because God's son sounded like a pretty cool guy, but he sure the heck wasn't a white guy with red hair like the King James Bible illustrations! I know that as the story goes if not for the sacrifice on the cross and Jesus begging God not to destroy us that his love saved us all from his wrath, but honestly I still don't understand, nor do I completely believe in the teachings of the King James Bible. I've been told I'll go to hell if I don't believe everything as it is written in the Bible, but if God, "The Holy Father of Love and all Creation" is someone who would be willing to punish his own children to death for all eternity just because they challenge the belief that you cannot "question the truths of the Bible" or God's judgement, then I will have to burn in hell then. I find it especially disturbing that God would forgive a lifetime child molester for destroying the mind and soul of a child, or kill the innocent, but be willing to forgive and sent that molester straight to heaven just for their compliance. I'm not saying I have a right to if or if not a child molester or child murderer deserves to go to heaven or not, I'm just stating that the hypocrisy and hypocrites who tell me that if I don't forgive the person who molested me that God cannot forgive me, that I find that answer to be one of delusion of grand ore. Forgive me if I've offended any true honest believers in Christ, I mean not to be a hypocrite, I just felt compelled to share my opinions.

Thanks so much for your honesty. For me it was the list of "Do's and Don'ts" that made me feel inadequate and further away from God. Finally I decided to leave church, not saying everyone should, but I needed to be uninfluenced and sort myself out. See in the beginning I was sold out on the unconditional love and safety in the Saviour. Although having good intentions, when churches preach law it becomes a whole legalistic religious organization that robs us of our true identity and freedom that we are supposed to have. What I found is that religion says "Fix yourself and God/we will accept you" while the Gospel is supposed to be "Come just as you are and I will give you righteousness/(okayness) as a gift". Religion says "You have to work hard to stay forgiven and right" while the true Gospel is supposed to be: "With a single sacrifice I have made you perfectly accepted and irreversibly forgiven forever". Religion says "God is in love with a future version of you" while the Gospel of Grace is supposed to be: "God loves you as you are right now unconditionally and is NEVER GOING TO CHANGE". Religion is a bunch of rules to follow as a prerequisite to acceptance versus the Gospel of Grace is supposed to provide immediate irreversible acceptance which will produce the "works"/performance over time, but our performance is supposed to be SECONDARY to the "Work Christ did". This was a true segment. The church needs to show more love to all walks of life. For many years I've felt rejected and unaccepted by people in the church. Many times we look at the people who are imperfect instead of totally looking at God. God said in His Word it states in Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Also, if a Christian leaves the church there's no one who really calls and says are you okay? Can we find a solution as to why you left the church. Sometimes it feels like the owner of the church might just be about the money and not the saving of the souls.

Sometimes you gotta leave because you aren't getting fed but are expected to feed others. The Church tm tries to make that seem christian but its not christlike at all. I saw a lot of people I cared about get burnt out including me but then get mad at me when I tried to say something. When "rest" is a four-letter word, I think we're liable to some desperate things to ourselves and others in the name of Jesus.

This is such an encouraging forum and I have done these discussions at work and in small groups. Prayerfully I would hope that any church or church leaders that are convicted by this series to give God praise. Conviction is evidence that the Holy Spirit is a strong presence within you. Next it may be time to evaluate how you choose leadership and what your plan for continuing evaluation and accountability for church leaders. Coming from where I used to attend “church” at, I feel that church has become about giving and a business. Clapping for people that give the most. Whoever gives the most God will love the most. Welcoming guest pastors and being told to give to him so he can buy some ice cream. It’s sad. I know I’ve been hurt by that. So I’ll rather not go than to hear that. Sorry that you had a few bad experiences. I will point out that tithing and offering is important, so i wouldn’t say to do away with it. If we are reading scripture we see that it is our responsibility to tithe 10% and offering whatever the Lord lays on our heart. We take care of the building of our own home, and we must also take responsibility in the up keeping of the place we come to worship at. We can’t tell our landlord that we don’t want to pay rent because we don’t believe in doing so lbs. I do get what you are saying because some churches do mainly focus on just getting money. Not all though. That’s why you have to make sure you are under the right leadership. Money isn’t the root of all evil, the love of money is the root of evil. The truth is that bills do have to be paid, and that requires money. I pray you are able to find a good church home that helps you grow and that serves you. 🙏🏾❤️

Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seeks to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take. Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movie, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. A lot of the issues are people in leadership that don't need to be, because they are grandfathered in, via blood family or marriage. I've talked with my pastor's wife, and the"church" is not equipped with helping those that need deliverance. For example: the church is used to service level stuff, but people in the church are just as bad as people outside, because there isn't real transformations, real teaching, and real care and love for people.

Some of these issues is one of lust, greed, abuse if authority, selfishness and greed, sexual harassment, infidelity. The truth is if this was happening in the Marketplace and in Homes, it wouldn't be allowed and would be addressed even criminal charges filed. Some things can't be overlooked and some of these issues has caused trauma in congregants. You need community but that doesn't mean you stay in an unsafe, toxic environment.

Jude 3 project I supporti you I'm standing with you keep doing what you're doing. Why as long as the church has been around we should all be equipped with all our economics needs met not selected few, but all who join to served God. The church should have good resources of information to empower the needs of people. employment work, Healthcare with hospitals, Child Care Center, Schools for children, Meals on Wheels for seniors programs. Take the Church family out on outings..etc. Why isn't the church a joyous place to be?? .

I've Been Under Some Ministries, And Now I'm Not Under Nobody But God Now .... Most Ministers Don't Have Enough Patience To Deal With Souls That Have Issues That Really Love God, If U're Not Happy Everyday, Then They Don't Want To Deal With You.

I have real questions. I understand listening and hearing the person out but what is the solution? Is the point of talking about something without actually talking about the solution? Do they resolve their hurt talking out loud? Even AA and rehab centers talk about solutions and ways to help them overcome. If you are just listening especially on a KZbin platform, you can be feeding the very thing that can keep people from getting deliverance.

As a pastor myself it saddens me that many times I hear that other pastors have abused their role or churches have acted unlovingly. However - we still need to encourage one another to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Find a different church to be a part of! Also, many times I believe the issue of hypocrisy is leveled at Christian’s by people who have unfair expectations- Christians admit they are sinners and as such, we will sadly hurt others. But we need to repent and do better. But we are not trying to be something we are not- I am a sinner saved by grace!!

As a pastor I want to hear why folk leave the church, not to defend the church but in hopes of preventing some of the hurt that has taken place. I openly admit as a whole we can do better the church, and there is a lot of truth to what you say, however I want to say the church is people, not a person no matter what the position and people are and will always be fallible. As a pastor I have not cheated on my wife 27 years of marriage which ended in her being called home to The Lord and now a second one I’ve been faithful, I. Say that to say not all Pastor’s forget their married, now are well all dictators or rulers of the churches God has blessed us to pastor. I have experienced church hurt several times, and here’s a truth, hurt people, hurt people. It truly my desire and prayer that what ever pushed you away from the Church can be reconciled. Hypocrisy exists in every area a of life, but the only one people give up on is the Chuch, how do you fix what you’re unwilling to confront? There are a lot of great churches, and Pastor’s, if I went to a crooked car dealership, I would stop buying cars, I’d research and look for a better one. I honestly don’t know all of your life’s story, my prayer is that your hearts can find healing be freed from the chains of pains and scares that you bear. Sadly many of us accumulate followers that feel it necessary to attack what’s hurt them, which seldom leads to healing or worse seldom if ever lead to bringing change. Keep sounding the alarm and know there’s a ear listening and a compassionate heart tuned in and willing to hear.

We are in a roundabout that seems to keep us in the same negative realm of life. I understand the few should not even be Paster but because of self-gratification went without the calling. When I was a kid my father would make Orange juice for himself because of the vitamin C to ward of colds. We were not allowed to touch his OJ but I would take a sip and add water to keep it at the same level he left it. What I did not know is my brothers and sisters were doing the same thing. When my father got back to his OJ it was no longer orange juice but now orange drink. We had diluted the concentration. The Church as powerful as it is only loses its strength because we leave the negative life but bring the negativity with us. Being judgemental from the pulpit to the congregation and from the congregation to the pulpit is just like Moses not being allowed to enter the promised land. Judge not lest yea be judge. Jesus has done the work and giving him the Glory for all that he has done instead of condemning the world from the pulpit will allow us to let go and let God. Teach through sermons vs gratitude through sermons. We will lift up the name of the Lord and once they are in the word through self, bible school, and other educational methods will they be able to illuminate the power of God. You see greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world but the world wants to win so your power as positive as you would like it to be is negative aka diluted.

A lack of demonstration of God's love will produce hypocritical behavior in people. It is God's love and actually walking in that love that helps prevent Christians from exhibiting hypocrisy in their walk. I’ve experienced the same where pastors think and behave as if they are god. It’s sad. Though I’ve not stopped or left church I am sick of church the building, misleading people, the spirit of witchcraft running rampant; control, manipulation, intimidation. Pastors and the congregation need deliverance and the congregants need to study the word of God as led by the Holy Spirit. Also I’ve been puzzled why pastors (mainly males) don’t praise, yet become the hype man telling everyone else to praise, shout, dance, etc. This seems to be a disconnect. Apologetics wouldn't need to exist at all if the claims were factual - just saying. The tendency is that religions make the biggest possible claims with the least possible evidence. Sadly it seems like these brothers and sisters attended churches with a low view of people, lack of real biblical study/application, no community mindedness, etc. Just, all the bad things that church can be. I've encountered some of these things..... Actually all of these things at a time or another. This can be remedied in two ways, for others to change and for us to change. In the congregations I attended I decided to link up with like minded people and develop our own community within the church to live out what we felt was missing to the best of our abilities. Church has been ravaged by hypocrites all manner of evil. But, God is still God and there is always a remnant. If you stay serious and diligent about your faith walk you will find the family you need. But just like with family you have to be ready and willing to roll with the good and bad. In our community we have our ups and downs but we always get back up, we always have each other's back. We don't run away from conflict we run towards it in love and the Spirit to resolve it and move on. Even if it takes some time. I think one issue is that often we have really high expectations of the church that doesn't allow them to be human. Expectations that if we were honest we wouldn't want cast on ourselves. To be honest though, at times people put those high expectations on themselves by being very self righteous.

I can appreciate what you're saying about us all being human. However, it's very difficult to excuse church leaders whom we look to for guidance and as examples of how we should conduct ourselves as Christians. When you have leaders who won't hold themselves accountable for their own sins (ie sleeping around, financial abuse, abusing church members spiritually through manipulating the scriptures), it's unrealistic for us to chalk it up to them just being human. It's sin and we should not tolerate such behavior. Even Paul said that such people should be kicked out of the church if they refuse to repent.

I'm not victim blaming by any means and I'm definitely not advocating making excuses for corrupt leadership. I'm saying to do Christianity the way the Bible prescribes doesn't look like what we see in most churches where everyone leans on the pastor and the pastor is comfortable with that arrangement. People recite what their pastor said as if he has writing credits in the Bible🤣. People have a closer relationship with their leadership (which will eventually make mistakes) instead of having a closer relationship with Christ (who will never make mistakes). For that I fault leadership because the way most churches are set up now it sets us up for spiritual and emotional and financial failure. It conditions us to elevate people and place them on pedestals they don't belong on. It teaches us to come to church and listen to someone else speak about the bible and have us be entertained by them using their gift(s) instead of training us to read the Bible for ourselves and cultivate and practice our own giftings. It teaches us how to build the church up financially and never teaches us how to build ourselves up financially. Obviously this isn't most churches. I've attended plenty of churches that buck the norm. If you are truly serious about having a relationship with God as He prescribed in His Word you will one of two things: continue searching for the right faith community that best emulates God's desire for His church or build that community where you are. Either path requires patience and long-suffering because no one is perfect, even ourselves.

Anyone who is looking for a perfect church to go to will be waiting until Jesus come back. Do they not know that even God’s chosen people in the Bible acted the same way (hypocrites) and worse? This is why we all need Jesus bc we are all screwed up and would bust hell wide open without the blood of Christ. And yes it should be a hospital for the lost, so for people to say they don’t go to church bc of all the bad stuff they see doesn’t make sense. I think the key to this convo is being humble, I think that many us can miss that. They are just looking for someone to be a good example of leadership. Exactly. If you want God-level worship as a human it comes with God-level expectations of being perfect. We the people are the one bring all of the garbage in the “building church” The church building is like a hospital, when you’re in need of medical help, you run to the hospital. Not all doctors or nurses show they’re patients tender love but yet we still run to the hospital hoping to get the best treatment. Joshua couldn't control anyone else but himself, and he said "as for me and my house we will serve the Lord"(Joshua 24:15). Jesus said, the kingdom of God is within you(Luke 17:21). The church, the true body of Christ is made up of individuals who say regardless of what everyone else is doing, I will serve the Lord. God's true worshippers, worship Him in spirit and in truth(John 4:23), and not in a physical building. God said put your trust in Him, and not in people(Psalm 146:3).

We are people are flawless now Christ church is ( Perfect ) its not the brick or stain glass windows its the unfruitfulness and lack of accountability of leaders and lack of true discipleship as well as personal behavior these church folk are just down right hateful and worship mere man than God as in pastor he can be God to everybody and operate through damage control this is not the church of God but its the true church to restore men back to God through revival and to come into his fold acts 3;19
