Fair review. I spent 15+ nights at the Cosmo in 2023. Sometimes sitting on the balcony or if you have the door open the smoke smell from pot and cigarettes can start getting into the room. I understand that since you technically can't smoke in the rooms - they smoke on the balcony. My most recent trip I heard the noise coming from the south side of the tower and I was shocked! I couldn't hear it in my room but I could in the hallway. I even saw another guest and I made a comment about the noise! He said I can hear it just like that in my room! If they put me in a room with that noise I'd never return. As for the positives, the location is unbeatable, proximity to the strip and retail is amazing, never had an issue with any of the rooms but I'm also platinum/VIP so I imagine they make sure the rooms are ready and clean.

I've stayed at the Cosmo at least a dozen times, I've never had a filthy room. It is a party hotel, and some of the things mentioned may be encountered on occasion, but it's not the norm. Some worn furnishings are further evidence of the party atmosphere. I've never been impressed with the dining selections available at the Cosmo, but STK is pretty good. I would note that during covid, all of Vegas faced challenges for many reasons, and the Cosmo was not exempt. I've stayed in nearly every room type except for Lanai suite and above (nor City Rooms), and I've never been disappointed. I think my favorite are the Terrace Suites (almost 1000 sq ft.), I like it better than the Wraparound. A fountain view is a must, it's worth the extra cost. I would like to know when you paid a hondo for the one bedroom fountain view? I've never seen the price that low - ever - even during the week! There are certain advantages to having a casino host - like totally complimentary rooms. Yet, there are some lesser know "secrets". They will bring a microwave to your room if you request it - we often do on extended stays. There are things I don't like about the Cosmo - mostly the gambling and food, but have never really had a problem with the hotel. One final thought - order the cheesecake donut from room service - it's awesome!

It was Wednesday July 5th, booked about a month in advance. But that price was for a Studio Terrace and then there was an additional $30 for the upgrade to the Terrace Suite.

I am a fan of the Cosmo but your video is true. I was there last month, and my room smelled like somebody had just dropped a deuce and the refrigerator was dirty! I did request and was moved to a different room. However, on the second day they didn’t come and clean my room even though I am I requested cleaning service very disappointing for a five star hotel! also a check in I tried to go in the VIP lounge and they told me to go get in line lol rude! Oh yes and the hall smelled like pot every time I got off the elevator.

Cosmo is def full of personality, quirky, and can get crowded. I would say not overrated at all, but def a unique and fun experience depending on what you are into etc. I LOVE the Cosmo, but my mom and dad may strongly prefer Caesar’s or even the old school casinos DT. I’m drooling to go back, but won’t knock others if it’s not their cup of tea.

Stayed there 2 weeks ago for 7 nights are room was in the Chelsea tower room 3533 great view of the strip and fountains.the only issue we had was with house cleaning services.One instance we left the room and when we got back the room was half way cleaned with cleaning supplies left on the table.My wife called house keeping and they finally sent someone to our room about 8pm to finish cleaning.Another instance we left the room and when we got back the room was clean but the floor lamp was broken.i called the front desk to let them know so as I would not be blamed or charged.They did have to reset the safe one morning when it would not open.But other than that we really thought the Cosmopolitan was a great place to stay.The food court on the second floor had really good food.I highly recommend staying at the Cosmo terrace suite fountain view room.

Like every hotel, you are going to get a number of negative reviews - probably warranted. But the vast majority don't have these problems. I feel for those with the bad experiences. I have had nothing but great experiences, and stay here often. But I also have a great host who takes care of me.

I love the Cosmopolitan and wouldn't stay anywhere else but a swanky airbnb with family. Me and my wife love it. Especially if you opt for the balcony with fountain view. It's lovely during the night to just hang out in your room and just enjoy the views. I've stayed in other hotels and been to various family members' rooms in other hotels, and they just dont compare. Figured I'd give my opinions before watching the video. 😅

Hmmm. I’ve stayed there several times and would DEFINITELY return! Never experienced a problem of any kind. And we experienced excellent customer service during each of our visits! We always ask for a “fountain view one bedroom terrace suite” in the Boulevard Tower and pay the extra fee for that view.. My only complaint is that the last time, we weren’t on a higher floor (20th). Returning in October and cannot wait!!!!!! 😉👍😎🍷😍

Great video. Been staying at the Cosmo for the last 5 years 3-4 nites per stay. The Boulevard Tower is my fav cause its close to everything. Have never had a bad stay. Was just there in May and had a wonderful time. Its my favorite hotel.

Given the Cosmopolitan usually has the single most expensive rates of any resort on the Strip (I say usually because you occasionally see Encore and/or Wynn edging them out, but more often than not the Cosmopolitan is in fact THE most expensive)...............it's quite easy to perceive it as overrated in that context alone. I personally always enjoy staying as well as visiting there, but it's not at all hard to see why it's not for everyone. It is frequently overcrowded there (at least on the casino and second levels, not so much the upper level), the rooms are showing signs of wear like you mentioned, and in my opinion I consider the Cosmopolitan BARELY five-stars in technicality when you consider what you get over what you pay. I feel one of the fine lines (among others) between a four-star resort and a five-star resort............is that over-the-top customer service experience. It's something I always get at Wynn/Encore, Venetian/Palazzo, the Bellagio (since Blackstone took over ownership from MGM) and even Mandalay Bay even though the latter is considered a four-star resort..............but that simply isn't the case with the Cosmopolitan. To be clear I'd say the customer service experience is favorable, but the point I'm making is that there's a palpable difference between customer service that is more expected and that which genuinely feels like going the extra dozen miles............and it's for that reason in good faith I just don't consider the Cosmopolitan nor the Aria five-star resorts in their current state. Still: shifting back to praise again..............I totally get WHY the Cosmopolitan is a favorite among many. Because it genuinely epitomizes and personifies the dynamic, sexy, vivacious essence of Vegas better than any other resort on the Strip. The Bellagio may be awe-inspiring and beautiful, but it's often a bit too quiet and classical. The newly-opened Fontainebleau may be extraordinarily impressive and have a lot to offer, but it doesn't really have that quintessential Vegas vibe. There are plentiful other resorts on the Strip that all offer a lot and are a lot of fun to visit and even stay at, but between their de-theming and inconsistency are less likely to inspire and engender picturesque memories. And it is for that reason why the Cosmopolitan stands out: because it best harnesses and personifies the modern Vegas energy and essence and, thus, has near-unrivaled potential for memory-making (especially with the Mirage Volcano Show going away soon sadly).

We stayed in November 23 at the Blvd Tower for 3 nights right after the F1 race. Our room was clean, not run down. But they forgot to clean our room one day. Even after contacting front desk they couldn’t get someone to clean it while we went out for dinner. That was quite a bummer. We didn’t have to pay the resort fees as an apology. Funny that at the next stay in Cali at a Kimpton they also didn’t clean the room one day and we didn’t get anything as an apology.

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been staying at the property since 2014, and only 2 times have I stayed at another property. I was getting 2 bedroom suites at Mandalay Bay for $300 a night after the shooting incident . Any other time I’m in a wrap around suite, or one of the bungalows.

Both towers, but it's only an issue when facing south. If you're facing north (towards the Bellagio) you should be fine.

Never had bad experiences at the Cosmo. We been there 6 times in the last year going back next month Aug11-15th. The Cosmo has a fragrance that they run through the air system. It always smells good in there. Many other hotels do this as well. We are platinum identity members at the Cosmo. With this balcony’s the location. The food. Best hotel on the strip. The wrap around room.😂😂 stay there for 5 days you won’t stay anywhere else on the strip.

Thanks for this video! We will be there in November! So because of the Night Club, would you stay in the Chelsea Tower instead of the Boulevard Tower? You said north, this is the Chelsea Tower, right? Our reservation for a studio terrace fountain view was much more than what you paid but it’s Thanksgiving week, this might be the reason… can you tell them at the check in that you want a special room? Did you give them the 20$ many people recommend when checking in? What did you do that you didn’t have to pay the resort fee? Sorry that I have so many questions 🥹

You can stay in either tower but I’d recommend facing North, meaning towards the Bellagio fountains. However I think the outdoor portion of the nightclub is closed in November so the noise may not be that bad but the view is still better facing north. We did not tip $20 but we did pay an extra $30 fee.

The noise is real, it’s that techno music, it’s like the same deep bass sound.😂😂😂 I haven’t stayed that close to the pool we are usually 50 floor and up. You can still hear the music if you stay on that side. But it’s Vegas who cares about time. You should be just going to bed around 3 or 4 am. This isn’t home, it’s Vegas baby.

There are very few nights available at that price, so we have been lucky to be able to avail of what is offered. Hope you enjoy your stay. I’ve stayed there dozens of times, and never experienced any of the inconvenience you mentioned except for the noise at the Boulevard tower, which was my fault since I specifically requested to stay there (closer to the front doors, didn’t know about the night club). Sorry, but it seems like you were fishing for the worst reviews (and you really are getting one side of the story - people can write what they want without giving context), so you you can say finally say “Well, isn’t that bad!” Having said that, good luck on growing your channel.

Yes, VERY OVERRATED. The rooms are not upscale. Bad customer service for sure. The Chandelier Bar drinks are underwhelming. They say The Cosmo is a luxury hotel, but it doesn't look like it nor does it attract the high-end types of people. The Marquee rarely has big names performing.
