Both amazing pedals, loved the cuvave, mine needed careful guitar volume control, but very versatile!

They do two very different sounds. The Cuvave is the more versatile out of the two, but the Super Fuzz does the one thing really well

They both have a very different sound, I think the cuvave sounded great as an all around fuzz. The super fuzz I think sounds really good on single note lines and solos, not as good on chords.

I figured setting 1 was a slightly closer comparison, but the multiple settings is a definite bonus for the Behringer 👍

The Boss was a take on the MIJ, Shin-ei Fuzz in what in the U.S. was sold as the UniVox Super Fuzz. I expect the Cuvave is too, The Behringer is a Boss clone, so it much closer to the real Super Fuzz.

There is a big following behind these Behringer SF300 recently. They are a great price for sure and, like you say, probably very close to the Boss 👍 I don't think the Cuvave is based on this, if it is, they've really missed the mark. It almost seems lower gain vintage FF territory but I've not looked into the circuit really. I'd be interested to know

Curvave is a clone of the Zvex Woolly Mammoth, but with the a fixed gate setting. The Woolly Mammoth is a Zvex Fuzz Factory with the EQ modified for bass players. Zvex Fuzz Factor is a fuzz face but with a unique feedback loop and stability control.

@@BudgetPedalChap I have the newer M-vave version (Cuvave changed names) and it's really cool. With fuzz on full, tone is very close to Muse - Plug in Baby (the recording using a Fuzz Factory) This pedal is not so great with chords though.

That's a real shame. I know they changed the circuit a little, so the version 1 was a bit more sought after, but I didn't know they had discontinued the second version now.
