Sir I totally understand and also appreciate your interpretation of Religion and spirituality. I always believed that religion is for the cowards as they want to be in a given mould. On the other hand spirituality and spiritualism is for the bold, courageous and to some extent a little rebellious in nature. Spirituality is as you have explained all about freedom and leads or helps a person to finding the Truth. A religious person cannot love or spread love, a spiritual gurus or people are loving and above all the diverse personalities were respected for individual and independent thinking. I indeed am happy that someone who is more experienced as I believe that as a proffessor you would have come across lot more people than me 🙏

I HAVE TRIED NOT TO GO WITH THE CROWD ALL MY LIFE. AND I HAVE NEVER EVER BELIEVED THAT WHAT THE BISHOP (RULER/BOSS/TEACHER/GURU etc etc) SAYS (RULES they make/impose) IS THE RIGHT AND ONLY WAY. I HAVE ALWAYS DARED TO BREAK THEM OR QUESTION THEM. THEY DON'T EVEN ABIDE BY THE RULES THEY MAKE FOR OTHERS - FORGET THESE UPRIGHT LOT ABIDING TO GOD'S WAY. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT EVERYTHING I SAY OR DO IS THE RIGHT WAY EITHER. ALL OF US NEED TO ADMIT THE MANY FLAWS IN OUR METHODS (FOR NONE OF US ARE GOD) AND TAKE CORRECTIVE MEASURES EVERY NOW AND THEN.

Dear friend, You say, you are Christian, probably you were born in Christian family, you inherited faith in Jesus Christ and learnt about Jesus from your parents and the church members. Had your parents left you alone, you would not have become Christian. Could you say how many people you have known, are spiritual like you without being influenced by others? In USA, people give importance for individual freedom and don’t teach faith as a result their children become non believers, do you think it’s ok for you? Don’t you think there is a need of interpretation of the Bible by the Scholars? Do you think, reading bible by local language without knowing the background of the Bible a person can grasp the Bible message? Anyway, we, Catholics believe in organized church to understand, and become stronger believers. Catholic Church never forces anyone to remain in the church, that is why an individual has to confirm his faith and go ahead in his faith journey. Or any time a person can give up his or her faith and practice better religion and better faith!

Why don't people get disillusioned about the structured, organised working condition of everyday 9 to 5, or some other schedule..there's an incentive albeit it may be frustrating and painful a routine. But what of religion, where one has love for the Lord...one would go through the Sunday "Obligation" with love, unless dislusioned by the organisers of the organisation by their impropriety which so often is reported or not reported. .and even then the Love of Christ will overcome all.

Sabbath was made for man and not man for sabbath... Jesus said. Is there any obligatory RITUAL/programme to be followed on the Sabbath that is mentioned in the NT? Early believers met together for prayers and sharing.. It couldn't have been obligatory and it shouldn't be. Churches instead of being critical of and lamenting the lack of church attendance should examine themselves and see where they're going wrong.

I could relate to almost everything you said. But may I take the liberty to caution you against studying Islam deeper because that would totally disillusion you. Many Muslims have left the faith after studying it and unearthing the truth that lies beneath the facade of peace and benevolence.
