Let me know your thoughts on the DJI Osmo Pocket 3! I was very impressed overall. It wasn't quite at the same quality level as my main setup. But dang, is this tiny setup VERY nice, especially for the money!

The camera wide view angle is amazing. I really felt the vlog more relaxing since I had a feel on where you were and had stuff to see as you speak. The mic is top notch too. Around 6:25 the mic really made it feel like you were shouting. Otherwise really enjoyable, Nicole's review of the mummy sounded like it was recorded on a pro studio podcast 😂
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
Yes, thankfully the creator combo has the wide-angle lens included. I found it to give just that extra width to make it perfect. I was still shocked at how good the audio was, both on-board the unit and the DJI Mic 2. It was crazy to edit the video and not even be able to tell totally when it was the dji mic 2 or the camera mic, which was awesome. SUPER impressed overall.

This is what I use for my small lil' channel. Was inspired by you and other vloggers to start a new hobby this year. As a non tech person, I find it overall pretty easy to use and gets some good, clear footage. 😊
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
The simplicity of it is incredible! With minimal changes to the settings (or none even if you don't mind) you can control the whole camera and get SUPER good footage. The microphone is still something that kind of blew me away. I think everyone that wants to make KZbin content should do so! It's a great way to spark your creativity and learn new skills. It's also a way to basically save your memories that you make!

I also use the Pocket 3 as my main camera on my channel. It's way easier to use than a gimbal and phone set up. I don't have a dslr camera so I'm pretty happy with the quality it provides for me. Thank you so much for this video and hope the rest are your video are just as great.
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
It's a great option honestly. Convenience is unmatched. Stabilization is probably unmatched for the amount of work. Yes, you could get big setups to stabilize, but not that are vlog friendly. And honestly, the quality is dang good! Glad you're enjoying yours!! Love to see theme park creators enjoying this camera!

We have a new tiny channel and have the OP3. It is definitely an upgrade from our cell phones and like you said, for the price and size, it’s not bad! As always, great video!
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
I think as an "entry level" system it feels way above the rest of the options. It's affordable with a lot of great qualities. And I guess you expect to not get thousands of dollars worth of quality in it, but overall I'd say it's shockingly good!

Been thinking about upgrading to the Pocket 3 soon and this video really help solidify that decision! Love the sunset/nighttime park shots.
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
You'll love it! Especially if you want cinematic shots, it's INCREDIBLY easy to do. The stabilization takes so much work out of things, too. But honestly I was blown away with how good the audio was both on the camera and the mic. Shockingly good! Hope you enjoy yours, it's super fun to film with 😆

I love the look and the sound of the DJI osmo pocket 3, especially in this video too! I actually just bought the camera and went to universal as well and did some vlogging and it came out great!
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
I think it's going to be a game changer for those wanting to get into vlogging and really allowing such easy access to things like stabilization, good audio, good lowlight etc!
@ZombieChrisАй бұрын
As someone that owns one. I definitely think each camera has different scenarios. For this video the osmo was perfect. iPhone - Fast, easy and different lens Osmo3 - Small, smooth & decent audio Main Camera- Handles everything, multiple lens, nighttime filming, swap out batteries I know for me. I’ve been on such a hard spot. Especially when haunt season rolls around. I need my main camera but I’m also tired of carrying the weight. Wish the osmo pocket had a pro version. Swap out lenses and a bigger sensor 🔥
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
Definitely. There are some situations I could see myself using this for certain types of content. It's another tool, but I genuinely really enjoyed it. I find recording on mobile devices is just weird when I try to upload to my editing software. It's like the quality is always off, completely different from what I see on the mobile device. I think I'm shocked with how good the low light handled. It obviously loses quality pretty drastically compared to what my zv-e1 setup can do. But to be able to do it so easily is great. I'd love a Pro version, a few extra things could go a long way. Even the extra axis gimbal and a larger sensor could be sweet. Maybe in a few years the OP4 could have it 🤔
@ZombieChrisАй бұрын
@@Dillon.Thomashmm strange on the mobile video. Depends on your import settings. Since they can record pro res quality. It’s crazy how good. 😂 yeah I could see the next Osmo 4 being insane. Considering how popular the 3rd version was.
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
@@ZombieChris I think my phone records like HDR or something, so when I export it, it ends up looking SUPER flat because the colors are crazy on the phone. I thought I turned it off, but it still looked the same, so I was like eh... whatever LOL. 100000% agree on the next version being awesome. The pocket 3 is ALL over every time I'm anywhere I feel like I see people using it.
@ccabusАй бұрын
Love the quality and color . Also as a viewer, I enjoy watching stabilized footage. It’s much easier to watch. Me personally I’ve owned every version of the DJI pocket series and by far this was the best one out of all of them. The improvement from pocket two to pocket three was incredible. Also in low light, the quality is great for what it is. I definitely think it’s a great tool and just the convenience of the wireless microphone is very handy. Also, if you can pair 2 dji mic 2 to the camera. Also, once you have the pair the mics to the action 5 if you ever plan to get one.
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
@ccabus I like stabilized more, myself. I agree, though, the lowlight is actually very impressive for how small the sensor and everything is. Did not expect it to hold up. I could really tell the quality is lower. I've been using GoPro, but I've thought about the action 5. But the new GP 13 having extra lenses is actually huge. I always used the max lens mod on my 9. But there's a lot of features I'd like between both honestly. Hard decision. Being able to connect to the mic2 would be awesome though...
@Universally_FreeАй бұрын
We have a small channel and have used the DJI Pocket 3 exclusively on the channel. I’ve been happy with the performance, as you are I’m particular when it comes to the quality, the only objection I’ve had is the mics, they have good quality and noise isolation in general but finding a lapel that provides the fullness is a challenge. It does fall off when the light is limited but that’s expected from such a small sensor. Overall though, I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into the creative space, it’s definitely a gateway piece of equipment haha I’ve since gotten a Canon R6 Mark ii, that combo can be a good choice but the Pocket 3 by itself has been a champ. Good video!
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
I tried to use lav mics on the original DJI Mics (have those as well) and I found it was just not good for the quality of the mic. I think it's better to just use them as is. But overall I was super impressed with the audio quality! Obviously the image is not what my 4k is from a full-frame sensor and a nice lens, but it's also a FRACTION of the cost (literally). So I think it makes sense it won't have the crispness of a bigger/better setup. That said, for the price, I don't think there's anything that comes even CLOSE to the camera and mic combo. I would say this setup could pretty much hold it's weight till someone wants to invest in a full-frame sensor and a nice quality glass lens. Otherwise, I think the Osmo Pocket 3 is just the way to go! Glad y'all are enjoying it so much!!

I was REALLY impressed with the audio, honestly. I have the original DJI Mic, and I found it to sound a little weird. But this sounds great! It's a great little setup that has such a small footprint, honestly!
@Sir-RayАй бұрын
Actually, I am impressed with the video and audio quality! I'm sure it is not as good as your regular setup, but overall I would say it is pretty darn good. I find the sound a bit tinnie at times and depending on the available light, somethings looked a little washed out, but overall, decent. In the shady areas, the video seemed a little dark, but not to the point of it being distracting. It looked great at nighttime. I would say the setup works quite nicely. Take all this with a grain of salt - I am far from being an expert here - I am one of those people that cannot tell the difference between "real" 4K and fake 4K! Alot of people had complaints with the VQ for Grinch. We didn't do the VQ, opting for the VIP tour for Ginchmas (well worth the extra cost - highly recommend). Cool vid - be well.
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
I really was impressed overall with the camera. I'd say it's about 90% perfect for just about anyone to use. I agree, though, the image could look washed out or muddy sometimes. And the audio wasn't perfect, but it was REALLYYYY good for most of the video. Which I honestly was expecting to be the downfall of the camera, and it WAY outperformed my expectations. Are you doing the Grinch dining this year? I just remember that VQ was REALLY not enjoyable lol. Didn't totally help that it was hard to find in the app on it's own (at least for me). But I'm glad they removed it, I remember seeing people being really upset they didn't get to do the meet & greet because it filled up for the day and they were obviously only there for a few days or what not. Always hate seeing that. It's like Disney's VQ rides that end up getting packed and you can miss it on your vacation. Never liked it, never will lol.

@@Dillon.Thomas Not the breakfast, but the late day tour. Private meeting with Grinch and Max, and Santa. Snacks and drinks, special seating at the show and ride access. Also an after hours showing at Hogwarts. The only thing they don't do is the parade because it is over by the time they start. I enjoy it - definitely recommend.

Yeow! I came for the Pocket 3 review -- but yikes, Universal is *HUGE* -- I think that the last time that I was in Orlando it was just being built. But thanks for the review -- the image, all things considered, looked very good. The quick 2x zoom is handy, and the low-light (albeit a well lit amusement park) looked very good. So yeah -- it's not a full-frame/APS-C/MFT sensor, but a 1" sensor is still better than a lot of handhelds out there.
@Dillon.ThomasАй бұрын
Universal has been growing like CRAZY! You should check out Epic Universe (their new park opening next year!) Kind of crazy what has happened over the past 10-20 years in Orlando, honestly. I like the zoom functionality, though I do wish I could do 4x in 4k, but that's only available in the lower resolutions. But the customization of zoom and gimbal speed is actually super cool, too. But like you said, also, it may not be a full-frame sensor, but for the sensor size... it packs a punch! And I genuinely don't know of another camera that could do the amount this one could for the price and size.
