This is such a valuable review for the average camera user who would benefit so much from this camera and Im glad you found it and purchased it! You couldn't have made a better video, seriously. Your point on how the pocket 3 inspires you to create more is exactly why I have been in love with the DJI pocket series for years. Ive been using DJI products for years from drones, the mics, the pocket 2 and now my pocket 3 arrives tomorrow. The pocket 3 is hands down the best camera for people who want to get into content creation and produce high quality content as absolutely easily as possible. Even in auto settings (learning how to use manual settings with ND filters will produce better quality footage as well as learning how to color grade d-log footage) this camera produces BEAUTIFUL footage and the low light performance at this price is unmatched. AND if you get the creator combo you also get the Mic 2 which provides amazing audio quality and really seals the deal with this camera. You can either spend the same amount and *JUST* get a sony or canon vlogging camera and only get the camera with no stabilization, no special features like face tracking, no additional items like the battery pack/wide angle lens/mini tripod, and youll still have to buy a mic and extra batteries etc etc or you can buy the pocket 3 for the price of those cameras alone without those extras and get all those things included in the creator combo and have built in stabilization which enables better low light performance so you can shoot at practically any time of day anywhere you want. Personally the choice is obvious for me, pocket 3 all day. Im excited to see the content you make with this new kit! Also, you are so right about those G7X photos, those were GORGEOUS. You are SO beautiful

I like how you thoroughly explained the value of the camera and what you get for the price in comparison to other vlogging camera. I am embarking my content creation journey and I’m considering on getting the creative combo and i personally agree that you get more value getting this camera over other vlog cameras. I also plan on purchasing a tripod and ring light for my cellphone (i plan on creating fitness contents among other contents and i plan on filming with my phone in the gym instead of the pocket 3 since the tripod that comes with pocket 3 is short and i also don’t want to risk dropping the pocket 3 and breaking the gimbal or something). Do you have any advice or resource for someone that’s starting off content creation? I’ll take any and all advice.

D-Log M is a flat color profile, which means it will look washed or grey. This color profile gives the most dynamic range when you add back the true colors in editing. Best do you the Normal color setting like you mentioned if you dont want to go through extra steps

I’ve worked in technology for 30 years and had to do vendor comparisons to make buy decisions for multi million dollar deals. You knocked it out of the park. Hey girl! The face tracking… if you tap your face on the screen it will turn on & off face tracking. I’m the same as you. Just got mine few months ago & still trying to get settings right but it’s def a game changer. ❤

Absolutely. For my other professional camera something needs to be really interesting to justify taking it out. With the pocket that barrier is so much lower, because it’s so easy to just go.

I know it's months later, but to get the face tracking to work make sure that follow mode is on and then double-tap on your face on the screen while you have it in selfie mode. That's the way I always enable it. 🙂 Great video! I made one a few months back and I agree with you that this is a super simple vlogging camera and it's great for traveling too! 😀

I love when people notice how I end the videos🥹 im so lucky that anyone watches my videos and if anyone gets to the end, I just want to encourage them to spend time creating, whether thats creating art, creating memories, or just creating the life they actually want for themselves. I really mean it! And for editing, I mostly use final cut pro and then capcut whenever i want to do anything fancy 😊

I've got the DJI Pocket 3 but I've also got a DJI Action 4 Both DJI cameras are amazing but I've been using the DJI Action 4 because the DJI Pocket 3 was difficult to find here in the U.K. 🇬🇧, the gooseneck bit looks easy to break & I don't wanna get robbed in the street. It's the kind of camera where you take it out in places where you feel safe. The only thing you won't get is the active track on the DJI Action 4 but it's worth looking into as well especially because it's more durable & usable in the rain, heat & coldness.

You can really see the difference in quality on a tv - thanks for doing side by side. You are never going to get the same quality of pics from an action cam vs a decent camera because of the sensor size. I am just beginning to look into this osmo. I have watched a few other videos from big tech channels and they didn’t show that you can control where the camera moves from your phone - that is awesome! Really want this for the gimbal and follow mode - such a step up from my GoPro.

Great video! I have been looking at the Sony ZVE10 because it takes great photos. The drawback is no stabilization. But once I saw your video, I’m taking a second look at the DJI Osmo 3. This will be my first camera. Have you used this to record IG stories or Reels?

I think the face tracking works only if your recording setting is less than 4K. Ignore the 4K part but basically you gotta make sure that’s correct.

actually it works in 4K! you just have to swipe right and select face tracking before you start recording

What I notice on my iPhone is that lighting and everything will look good on the screen but once I view the footage on my computer it looks different and need to adjust in post… which is obviously pretty annoying. It’s pretty accurate and usually looks even better than it does on the screen. The companion app (which is sooo easy to use) also provides super accurate viewing and you can control the gimbal from the controls on the companion app

Yes! It attaches to all of my tripods so I just switch them around depending on the shot I’m trying to get

I had no idea how to edit either! I’d say start with CapCut for now and don’t bother watching full editing tutorials just google really specific editing tasks when you get stuck
