$67/gallon is actually only about 52.34 cents per ounce. Whereas the dollar tree one is $1.25/ounce, which is about 2.39 times as much. I don't want people running out to buy this resin thinking it's a good deal, because it isn't unless you only want to do a little bit, and only the one time. Otherwise, JDiction, Let's Resin, & others are a way better deal, in small and large quantities. Anyway, thanks for showing this, and Happy Creating!!!

Would love to see if u can pour it clear, if u can pour it in layers (letting each layer cure) & if it stays clear. Do a part #2 video please.

I saw them. I bought plenty of them 10 of each, and this is my first time working with resin, so I'm gonna see how it goes. I find out that. It's a good deal like I said for beginners like me 😂 is perfect.

Where do y’all live? I have 6 dollar trees within a 30 mile radius of me. None of them knew DT had resin! And let’s not even get into the $5.00 spot. The closest store is 2 hours away!

Have done a break test? I want know if durable or flexible over a full cure. Planning to make to make action figures?

I haven't done a break test for this particular resin, but it seems to be the same durability of the other 2 resins I've used regularly. I've dropped many a project made out of resin, and have only had one break that was a very thin "vase" that I made using a thin layer of resin. And that dropped at least 5 times before it finally hit the perfect corner of the vase to break it. Resin is incredibly durable.

I've been doing resin for about 12 years - before it became a popular craft. Personally, I don't think this is a good introduction to doing resin. If the finished product is that pliable, that's not good. It's expensive for what little resin you do get. Since resin has become popular, there are many opportunities to do resin on the cheap. Amazon has some good starter packages - with more resin, supplies such as mixing cups and stirrers, pigments, molds. There are many options for molds, providing they are silicone. If you want to make Christmas ornaments, buy silicone candy molds. Better yet, wait till they go on clearance and make up a batch for next Christmas. But the most important thing a person can do is research. Learn as much as you can about resin, go onto resin/craft forums and go from there.

Thanks for the video tutorial on this resin :) I thought I would share just a little tip regarding your sinking glitters :) I had seen Daniel Cooper's video as well as Glitz N' Glitter By Michelle where they used a tiny tiny tiny amount of clear Elmer glue mixed into their resins to thicken it up in order to stop the glitters from sinking, so maybe check out their videos on this to help you out :) Thanks again :)

I just got started using resin this year. There is only one of the 3 Dollar Tree stores in my county but the little bottles of 2 part resin they sell is a nice am out for trying resin for the first time. Once I did a couple small projects (I have a couple small molds from wish) I decided to look up other mold options in craft stores and have incorporated resin into some of my jewelry projects.

I noticed that the part A bottle always has less liquid then the part B bottle. At first i thought maybe the part a liquid weight was heavier but I throught then on the scale and part A weight is less the B

I dont need a gallon of resin. Not everyone can afford $60.00 for resin, or even $25. $2.50 for exact amount I need is EXCELLENT!

What should be the ratio of resin and hardner?
@JustCallMeMeghan
@JustCallMeMeghan 3 күн бұрын
@@Queennnn0123 It depends on what each resin says in the instructions, but for this specific one, it's 50/50 by volume.

can you use uv light to harden
@JustCallMeMeghan
@JustCallMeMeghan Ай бұрын
@@optimusprime-jb5om no, unfortunately this is a 2-part epoxy, so UV light will not cure it. You just have to wait for it to cure over time. I usually give my 2-part epoxy 24 hours to cure. 💙

Yeah, that's the only link I had in the description, but the biggest thing I'm gonna be looking for over the next few months is yellowing. I started out using Dr Crafty resin, and it's yellowed so badly over time. If this resin doesn't yellow as quickly, I'd be so interested to know who the manufacturer is. Lol.
