I have straight hair and I much prefer the ColorWow because it holds a curl better and doesn’t zap my volume. Also, DryBar makes me cough so I need to leave the room after I spray it! The smell is fine but the fumes are intense.

The active silicone in those stylers definitely activates better with a flat iron because of the higher heat and then it becomes very waterproof. I don't know why, but it never occurred to me to put the net on BEFORE I finish wrapping the hair. Thanks for that!

When I straighten my hair, I preserve my silk presses by wrapping my hair and putting on a satin scarf or men's duerag with my bonnet on top.

Color Wow held up Waaaayyyy better. No comparison. Try the products again and switch sides to eliminate the interference with your curlier side. That will make a good follow-up video.

I like the idea of the scent so I'm team Drybar!!..for now.. as I haven't tried either. I want to try but the price point makes me want to know 2 things before i buy: 1) How long did your straight/glossy hair last after flat iron? and question 2) After flat iron does your hair frizz or remain straight in either humidity or if you sweat?

Yes! The Drybar is amazing! 😍 1) my blowout lasts up to a week when I use the Drybar! 2) after flat iron my hair remains straight for up to 4-5 days but only in the colder weather when it’s not too humid outside. In the humidity, my straightened hair will last maybe max 3 days but I sometimes have to re-straighten the roots 😩 in the summer I usually leave my hair naturally curly because it gets pretty frizzy 😩 hope this helps! 💕

I tried the wow last wkend but I wasn’t impressed some of my natural hair looked like a cheap wig lol. Kinda frizzy I had to keep applying products to tame it cause I wasn’t going to do it over for the week. I did a blow out. Maybe next time I would use the wow product with a straightener. 🤷🏽‍♀️

You can do a tubi or a bun and cover it with a scarf (I use a smaller one for this), then the shower cap. For touch ups, a quick flat iron pass can help.

When I tell you, you just change the tubi game for me!!! You have no ideaaaaaa!! I’ve never seen such and easy tubi without bobby pinssss 🤯 Also, use the dry bar liquid glass conditioner for my last wash day, and left it in for like 20 mins and rinsed thoroughly, and my blowout has never lasted this long!!! (Full disclosure: also used VERY small amounts of Olaplex as leave in- and Kristin Ess Blow Dry Mist. My hair is 4a hair)

I was gonna order the color wow & I read horrifying reviews on the color wow stuff. It was ruining people's hair super bad! People's hair was falling out. People said when they washed their hair it made their hair feel gross for months. So Im super curious how you're gonna like it.

It does contain silicones, so the bad feeling people are reporting could be build-up that they aren’t washing off properly with a clarifying shampoo. I heard the same about Amika products.

In order to see maximum results from each product, it’s best to seal the product in with a flat iron. A blow-dry will not give you a sleek look.
