Thank you for uploading these lectures. I only wish that these videos were seen by more. Apparently you need to add cute animals.

I have heard how slavery in some way was part of the creation of the electoral college. I would’ve liked to hear him elaborate on that aspect. Not necessarily looking to abolish it, just have heard this point brought up and am curious as to the response.

@David - Here are some facts about USA history, the Electoral College, the 3/5ths rule, and the civil war. The sources of this information are the USA Constitution and actual events in USA history: Slavers are terrorists. Slavery is terrorism. The Electoral College was written for only one purpose. The Electoral College was written by terrorists(slavers) to be nothing more than a "welfare benefit" for themselves and other USA terrorists. The E C (+ the 3/5ths clause) awards excessive national governmental and political power to terrorists(slavers). The Electoral College encouraged and rewarded the terrorism of slavery. The Electoral College allowed terrorists to dominate the USA national government until around 1850-1860. The USA's "founding fathers" were the USA's first group of "welfare queens". Ten of the first twelve presidents were terrorists. What happened around 1860 when abolition and the prohibition of slaver terrorism in the new territories and Western states greatly reduced the "free stuff" to which the terrorists had become so accustomed? One of the biggest blows to the "terrorist welfare queens" was the prohibition of slaver terrorism in Western states. That's one of the reasons you hear that whiney, old csa/kkk terrorist propaganda phrase, "We don't want to be ruled by the coasts!". What happened when the terrorist "welfare queens" lost their "free stuff" from the USA government? What happened when the terrorist slavers could no longer easily dominate the USA national government and national politics? The csa/kkk was just a low-life, MS-13-type gang of butthurt "welfare queens". After causing the civil war, the Electoral College became a "welfare benefit" for states which suppress voting. I wonder which states LOVE to suppress voting .......... might they be the former terrorist states and terrorist sympathizer states? Eliminate the Electoral College. It has poisoned the USA!

The whole presentation seems to have been a continuous hedging of every argument. My frustration lies in that we are using a system that no one understands and on one can explain to the satisfaction of the common man. The reality is that we do run 2 parties in today's political climate so to continue to use a system that may not have been designed to use in this manner has to at least warrant a revision, if not outright elimination. Why should we be using a convoluted system that we cannot show the advantages of using in the first place. I would love to have someone, for instance, explain to me how we are not disenfranchising a huge (several million voters) block of conservative voters when, no matter the turnout, we cannot hope to prevail over the Democrat candidate. This means that all of the 55 electoral votes go to the Democrats - every time! How is that fair? Are California conservatives less important that Montana conservatives? I haven't heard anything in this presentation that helps allay my frustration or my skepticism about the efficacy of this system.

I have much to learn on the current EC. When I think about national popular voting, per individual voter, off the cuff it does seem to be fair. One person is valued as one vote to whoever they choose. Of course my experiences tell me that direct voting can also render those living in small groups, silenced as their needs are different than those in large densely populated groups. So if all democrats hypothetically lived only in dense cities, and all rural dwellers are Republican, the density of the city dwellers will always overpower, in numbers, the others. I say this matters because groups tend to influence for homogeneity in a preffered candidate and party so, the influence of smaller groups would vary in preferences and the more famous candidate, ie, one supported by our corrupted media, would always get their wins. I see taking away the EC as more detrimental to fairness than keeping the process going like we have always done in the past. What pattern do you think would happen of the EC is eliminated? Is it safe to say that major cities would always influence the winner unfairly?

@@rb032682 , so I take it you are not supportive of the current lefty establishment? Hopefully not because the Democrats and their merry gangs took over decades ago and what we see now with all the nonsense about gender and systemic racism is nothing short of bullsit. The only racist system now is against the white population and yet they are all still accused as white spremos. I think we can all agree noone suits up due to the potential of being attacked by wht sprmos; most people lock their doors for other stereo types better fitting to the real world in the USA. You go on about slavers staying in power and you didn't bother to speak of a very recent example of the slaver party itself stealing the election. Of course the EC isn't intended to be cheated but, leave it to crooked politicians to find a way or overwhelm it with false votes and angry mobs. The founder Father's found very clever ways to prevent lefty mobs from doing what they're doing now so, as time goes on and these morons get older, the power of influence they have now will fade away like their youth in the winter season. You have a very skewed view of history and judging from your use of the English vernacular I'd say you are buying into lefty propoganda. I'd even suspect that you support those dipshit Antifa and BLM thugs. Since you have a critical mind, and aren't afraid to speak, then put down those whacked out one sided iterations of history and walk back farther to get the bigger picture. Do this not and you'll forever stay with the dregs on the shoreline not even knowing your on a beach.
