Is the Elgato Wave 3 the BEST Microphone for Streaming?

nt1 is the best in this video hands down but the wave 3 isnt terrible but it sounds like it would pick up button clicks/ table taps really harshly

id love to hear a review comparing this to the most popular dynamic mics, AND if you have a woman to also do a sound test for each of them (in addition to your test) that would be even better because there are hardly any videos showing off which mics work best with female voices.

Wave 3 or rode vm go2 ? (my need is just making talking head youtube videos) I can go for the podmic or the fifine k688 but dont know any good budget interface except the m-Track solo.

I have had this microphone (Elgato) for about a year, and I have mixed feelings. The quality is great, but it has a mind of its own. The sound will go up and down on its own. I can't figure out how to fix the problem.

It's probably the noise gate or cancellation. Try turning it off from the Wave Link software.

Mine sounds horrible but I don't understand why, is it possible my USB port doesn't supply enough power??

@CoachKolton No, you just have to make adjustments to it on the software and download some things, I recommend looking up a video of "How to make Elgato Wave 3 sound better" since for some reason, it sounds awful out of the box

If you have multiple people in the room, go dynamic like the K688. If you are solo, then its up to you!

tbh for the price it's an overpriced mic. For $150 you get a plastic mic with an uncomfortable shape just for what? the software? all that functionality you already can ger inside the OBS, but for the $150 you can get a good usb dynamic mic like AT2040usb or even smth from Rode, etc.

The Wave Software is really what you’re getting here and is hands down, amazing. You can’t do everything in OBS that it offers, as it handles the sound for the whole system, not just your stream

@@DarkenedCyrus I understand, but now in OBS you have Application Sound Capture, so you can capture the sound of any app (discord, music app, etc.)
