Where's the controversy. The fishermen chose money over their cultural heritage. A choice they were lucky they could make because the catches have dwindled. Anyone who has been fishing or snorkelling in the Mediterranean knows the situation is dire. The premise of the video is ridiculous. It should be: "Fishermen thrown lifeline by EU as their jobs become unsustainable". Beautiful wooden boats? Pfft, they aren't art objects. They are the tools that were used to destroy the Mediterranean ecosystem.

Haha this sounds really funny! The problem of fish is called POLUTION !! In greek islands few fishermen have left....they make more money with less work with tourism!! They should give money to Greece to stop cruises , to stop NATO "boats" and also to prohibit the petroleum exploration.
