Get a c8 in any model and trim. Drive it hard and don’t worry about door dings or rock chips. you will have just as much driving fun with more practicality and lower maintenance costs at a fraction of the price.

@ 3 tenths is massive in drag racing. You clearly are a car casual lol. Racing is determined by the hundredths of a second and when you get to those numbers every hundredths matters and costs a huge amount to gain small amounts of time off that. Ya that v12 is a better trade off if looks and sound are your goal. Is speed and agility are then. All preference

When we look back in 10 years time we will realise Ferrari were way ahead of the game with the SF90. It is 6 years old and still the quickest car south of a million dollars. An amazing engineering achievement.

Picking up my first ferarri on the 30th; 488 gtb. I can’t wait to experience it but based on just the test drives, holy cow was I impressed. 1. The suspension was amazing. 2. The stock exhaust wasn’t bad at all, but I’m not expecting much coming from a huracan. 3. The way this car holds its value is INSANE. 4. Interior is incredible and spacious. 5. Reliability seems great. Anyways. I can’t wait to pick it up next week. As for the SF90, in terms of looks nothing comes close. The hybrid system is unfortunate but I’ve heard this will be the way to offset many of the issues with the EPA and sound regulations as we truck forward into the future. The 296 I think will be my next go to or an older 720, but we will see as I work my way through my 488 experience. Can’t be more excited to be a part of the ferarri heritage. Thanks for sharing the SF90 today 🎉.

Second note, 1000 hp scares me and that’s my biggest reservation. I haven’t tracked exotics like that. The rear wheel drive huracan was even too much performance for me.

I don't either. The criticism reminds me of when the Nissan GTR came out and people said it was like driving a computer. The SF90 is a modern supercar, they are all going in this direction. Yes, I own one and love it!

Let's think about this - $500K on one car! There comes a point of diminishing returns when you start pushing over $300K on any car! Would there be benifits, probably. But for each $100K spent, the marginal benefits decreases exponentially! The design is typical Ferrari. The HMI is a fail for a car at this price point! The exterior design is unique but there have been better looking Ferraris!

Maybe the Corvette can be compared more to a BMW perhaps in that department and not a Ferrari as you say, but I am amazed with what they've accomplished without the electric motors. That engine and the turbo design within the intake plenums. How they've obtained similar numbers to the SF90 is beyond impressive. Not the same pedegree but still.

I recently test drove the SF90 spider. Worst sounding Ferrari I have ever driven. No pitch with little range and mildly sick/ ill sounding. The 296 sounds good so a hybrid can make good sound. For me, the engine sound kills an otherwise good experience.

The reason why the SF90 can be had for $500k is they are about to go out of warranty and the battery tech on the SF90 is a $150k+ repair if anything breaks
