We went to many tours in Thailand including Phi Phi island Maya Bay, and the floating market tour was the most expensive yet the shortest. We paid around 100 dollars for 1 hour and 30 minutes boat ride around the market.
On Phi Phi Island we paid 92 dollars for 6 hours of ride to 7 different places, including water, fruits and amazing experience snorkelling.

We met with a taxi driver who agreed to drive us the whole day to take us to mae khlong train market and floating market. the drive to mae khlong was fine but the floating market was definitely a scam. probably the same place as this, and the taxi driver probably got commission. we decided to not go with the boat tour and demanded the driver to take us back to our accommodation instead so at the end we didn't to experience the floating market but I found out you can go to floating markets via MRT now, with free shuttle buses and boat tour for only 100 baht per person . Looking forward to return to Bangkok next month, but have to be wary with taxi and tuk tuk drivers who always bring to tourist traps.

That’s very interesting! We also got a taxi that drove us to all the spots we didn’t realise you can get MRT.. sorry to hear you didn’t get to go, we also only found out about the prices when we got there but at that point we accepted we got ripped off 😄

Omg..we just went through the same whole s* thing... totally a scam. Our boat driver... "my family, this my brother, this my house..." blab blab blab... everything so freaking expensive... 4000 baht for two person... really....I didn't wanna pay but s* we there already with the taxi tour.. yeah

100 Baht each person, 1 and half hour boat tour, Talling Chan or Klong Lat Mayom floating market near Bangkok you can take the BTS/MRT then 10 minutes taxi. I hear that they also have the free shuttle to those floating markets.

We love Thai people, but unfortunately we could see that many people that work with tourists was charging extremely high prices for simple things and it was more expensive than places like London and New York City
