Is the Fortnite EXCLUSIVITY Era OVER?

​​⁠This video was not at all intended to be about the battle passes returning, I literally already made a video on that. I made this solely because of the recent Ps5 bundle being non-exclusive to the console. So I was like alright let’s make a video on Fortnite’s shift away from exclusivity. I CANNOT believe people are taking it and running with it that this video is about the battle passes returning because ITS NOT. Let’s say I never made that one video on made about it, Why in the world would I wait this long to post about it…like **NOTE:** Back when Epic changed the Battle Pass terms, on their Support Page, they said that “OG Battle Passes are not affected by recent BP exclusivity changes, therefore they won't return.” However, this doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t come back. The loophole of bringing the OG seasons to re-release them is still alive. But, don’t be surprised if they don’t return 🙂👍

They didn’t say the battle passes wouldn’t return. Hypex said the battle passes wouldn’t return, and this was from a statement Fortnite made specifically about the new system. If you read Fortnite’s original statement that they restated, we all should have known already that old battle pass items would not come to the item shop. However, they said nothing about battle passes themselves never returning. People are not reading clearly what they are and aren’t saying.

i think it's a good idea they get rid of exclusivity, but i think super styles and things in bonus rewards should be kept locked away. i feel like that's the best solution for this.

Dead by Daylight has been doing this for years with their passes, the skins do return but the super styles are locked unless the players grinded that season

Guys the Starborn Sorina skin is still exclusive and they haven't brought it back but may return in the future as it does have shop assets I think

@TheKidDrippy yes and Fortnite did say for some old battle passes that they are exclusive to that season so when we are back in OG Fortnite can bring the passes back since we will be in the same season I mean just look at the ch1 OG mode map you can see it is the exact ch1 s1 map not remixed no POI'S removed so this means we are actually going back to ch1 s1 as the mode should have OG graphics too most likely

That is not true chapter 1 battle passes can comeback when chapter 1 og season 1 is back because it’s the original season

New gen is wild, yes you want to enjoy skins that you missed out on. Wanting battle pass licensed characters to return is understandable however original skins should not return at all. It’s a part of Fortnite history with each season representing the theme. It showed you grind those seasons, earned those rewards and those are all memories. The battlepass no longer being exclusive was a blow to collectors who want exclusivity. Old battlepasses returning is a blow to people who want to show they played during that time. Might call me a gatekeeper but if it’s just pixels then you can miss a few skins. I’m a player who started in C2 S1 so I missed all of chapter 1 but I respect the people who grinded during the time this is why I believe old battlepasses should NOT return.

@ nah I understand it’s just I feel we are being thrown under the bus with all these videos about battlepasss returning. Then we get called on for “gatekeeping pixels” and people swear at me for just having an opinion when epic literally sold the battlepasses as exclusive. So as a customer of any buisness it’s my right. They say epic can change tos but even if they do they can’t go back on the way they sold the old battlepasses as legally it isn’t allowed. Idk what’s the big fuss people need to cope on it’s not returning.

I’m all for releasing collab skins and even starter packs, but not battle pass skins. We earned those.
