in USA when you turn off the traction control system you basically turn off the VSA system which is the system that applies brake force to the free spinning wheel. Just put it in SPORT MODE and keep acceleration steady and let the system figure it out...

the reason traction control was still flashing is because when you push the button it says "traction control reduced". It doesn't defeat it completely

So, if I decided to go off road while driving down the highway, I need to carry a set of offroad tires and change them out as soon as I pull off the highway and then put the road tires back on when I am done offroading? I mean who has time for all that nonsense?

​@@SebastianMonroe-yd3nu Tires would definitely change the results. It works like a haldex system. The system must detect wheel slippage from all four wheels in order for the clutch to engage and once that happens it must be continuous. Haldex systems are designed for sand and snow only.

I cringe watching you guys abusing the drivetrain on this vehicle. It was never intended to do what you are trying to make it do. The ‘available’ AWD was intended more for wheels that have not been lifted from contact on the road surface. In that regard, you would find the vehicle would acquit itself rather well. It is not a crossover, but an SUV styled vehicle.
