Thanks for the great follow up on using the stahls 360 hat press. At the end you were talking about using the silicone. Are you saying a silicone sheet or are you taking about the pads that come with the hat or something different? How do you know hat setting to use on the bottom platter for the hats?

No problem. It's a silicone sheet, kind of like one of those sheets you use for baking. I picked it up at a grocery store and I cut it up so it fits on the hat press. This is the video I was referencing, credit goes to ESENTL: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n321dIVri6unoMksi=jH-lJYnKodlGPngW For the most part, I don't think you need to use the bottom heat for anything outside of patches and emblems. The Stahls website provides you all the info on which foam to use, temperature/pressure, time, etc. Now that I've been making hats for close to a year, I always prefer something that has an embroidered or textured look compared to just pressing HTV or vinyl onto a hat...I personally don't think it looks that great and also gives off a cheap vibe. That's why the Hotronix IQ 360 is perfect cause you can professionally apply those patches without worrying about it coming off, and it's the best option for those who don't own an embroidery machine

@@ikendoitdotstudio thanks for the quick response. I ordered some dtf transfers for a small Order for a client. Wish they wanted enough to make ordering embroidered patches cost effective. Have a great day!

@@crashgtr For sure! If a client wants DTF then that's their decision, but I personally don't sell anything with DTF on a hat. Best of luck with your order!
