I think the psychological effect of the price of the weapons is still left out. Yes, veteran players who no longer click prestige (or are on 100) have extremely many Hunt dollars and could play every match with the expensive guns. But then the account balance drops again pretty quickly. If you have to come out with Bounty ~3+ times for every time you lose the Hunter, you just inevitably go minus. Yes, Mosin, Uppercut, Avto, etc. are really good weapons. But you still die when the Winfield shoots you in the head. For a while it may go well in the own MMR to profit from the weapon advantage. At some point, however, the matchmaking kicks in and you lose again. This is also the reason why many veteran players still play cheaper weapons. Last but not least... with rank 100, prestige 100 (or the prestige level you wanted to end up at) a high account balance is the only progress bar you have left.

Honestly, the hunt dollars are fine in my opinion, if I put the time in to earning those dollars then I deserve the free reign on what I can buy, I shouldn't be punished because I play the game more or better.
@seniorfiance Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I have around 400 hours in Hunt. I know this isn't a lot compared to true veterans but my point is that I consistently buy whatever loadout I want and am just a mediocre player. I don't extract with bounty all the time, I don't win all of my fights, but I find myself fluctuating between 30-40k Hunt Dollars. I think that Crytek has built a loot and extract game that take away a lot of gear fear for most players, and though I can't buy an avto every game without putting my bank account at risk, I can have fun even as I go on lose streaks. I think a lot of players just need to break through a mental barrier of "gear fear" and realize they CAN buy, generally, the loadouts they want to and though they may not make money they probably won't break the bank either. But I'm one player, I could be wrong, but this is my experience.

I have similar opinion. I am below average player with a comfortable money cushion. I rarely play mosins or nitros, but not because I can't afford them. Maybe if I took super expensive gear every match I would run out of money, but I prefer variety.

I don’t personally see the economy thing as a huge issue. Most people that have a disgusting amount of money either play cheaper loadouts a majority of the time, or they’re just winning more games overall. If they’re winning a lot, then they’re going to lose expensive guns less overall anyway. The issue is that most tweaks to the economy will disproportionately affect the players of lower skill IMO.
@gallyxinioch2102 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I mean, there's no point in making a, for example mosin cost three times as much, since high skill players will still have the money to buy it, while the lower skilled people wont be able to afford it (unless they grind some free hunters). Nerfing the high-cost guns also isnt that viable since people stop using them and use the cheaper (and better) alternatives or stop using them at all (Dolch could be the case, although its still a pretty solid weapon, though a far cry from what a menace it used to be)
@ryanbolson23 Жыл бұрын
This is 100% it, the problem is that no one has a reason to prestige and aren't having their account banks reset. So players who have played a long time are well beyond rich, but new or bad players are struggling. So increasing the price of a weapon as a "balancing" option is asinine because the people who use the weapon that are a menace with it will still continue to use them, it just puts a greater divide between them and other players. and with smurf accounts and people queuing with a 1 star on their team to cheat the MMR system as it is just makes it feel even worse.
@groovi35 Жыл бұрын
same opinion, dont see why the economy is a issue and why people talk about it like it is. Its really bad in other games where its purposely done extremely difficult to earn certain things in game, almost forcing you to buy them with real money. Its fair in hunt imo

Just occurred to me, would making some kind of demand system work? Like then the whales buy fancy guns but it will cost them more and more meanwhile less used guns would be cheaper, this could be coupled with supply making simpler guns more available so that more exotic guns would go more expensive faster (think importing costs for foreign weapons) which could mean that mosins and lebels for example would become more rare but springfield long ammo would be more available

I’d love to try a casual Gun Game mode with Hunt weapons. Free for all with revives in a single compound, classic Gun Game mode rules where it cycles through a list of weapons and you advance to the next one when you kill someone - first person to finish the list wins. Stab-kills sets back the killed player by one weapon in the list. Perhaps it wouldn’t fit Hunt at all, but I’m still so curious how it’d feel like and maybe it could be a good warm-up mode.

The economy is balanced for prestiging while the unlockable gear isnt. As a result I find myself in a weird struggle where I can either decide to continuously prestige and use more basic weapons and tools for months on end, or I can take a break from prestige and actually try out fun variants of the more expensive guns and tools. I’ve never ran an Automat that I bought and have only ran the Nitro and the Dolch each a handful of times, despite over 500 hours in the game with a 1.5 k/d. The new changes to money and the unlocking order of gear helps a bit with this, but I still feel like they need to work on making some gear easier to unlock/giving you alternate ways to unlock things other than using the earlier variants to gain xp.
@Schimml0rd Жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's kinda why I stopped: why prestige if it nukes your money, meanwhile my friends just spam mosins instead -.- And why play if you can't prestige
@davidlindsay6450 Жыл бұрын
The thing people never talk about with the economy is how players actually amass the amount of money they have. When you break it down from an EV standpoint, expensive builds do not return the money you put into them on average. I am a player that has a huge pile of cash and could pretty much bring whatever I want for a year and still not be poor, but the reality is my usual build costs under 500 hunt bucks to bring. The only time I would bring a mosin tier gun is when I loot it off another hunter besides that the most expensive gun I bring is the vet with special ammo. If you only bring builds that costs high prices you will almost always lose money in the long run. The reality is most rich players are rich because they have gotten super good at using crossbows and Winfield's, not because they bring "meta" load outs.
@lubo3934 Жыл бұрын
Meh somewhat true but I buy nitros, mosins, slugs, uppercuts all the time as soon as I unlock them again basically, because I'm am still prestigning. I'm in high 5 star 6 star lobbies, and I stay around 10 -12k pretty consistently.

You can still pay money to buy skins the quick way but you can also grind for it. If you could buy skins for 50-100k hunt dollars it would give people an way to spend they hunt dollars and it would also better reward grinding for hunt dollars - a playstyle that I personally really enjoy. I'd love a game that's like Hunt Showdown but sci-fi. When I say "like Hunt Showdown" I include the slow-firing weapons. You could easily come up with a reason for this. Everyone is using sci-fi armor/shielding that requires lasers to power up or rail guns that can only shoot one massive bolt at a time, etc. One reason I stopped playing Cycle was the bulletsponge type gameplay. I like when each bullet that hits is meaningful.

i think relentless actually does help the health of the game. it really helps against those lucky one taps, you know the ones I'm talking about, the one where the opponent panics and spins and gets a single lucky shot. then you watch him and he just... cant hit anything after. its really frustrating to know that person made you one shot to long for the rest of the game so when you fight an actually good opponent, youre fighting a severe uphill battle
@raphaelgoncalves79 Жыл бұрын
I understand your point and have myself felt frustrated about lucky shots (or unlucky streaks as I usually call, because when I get headshot, i get it in like 4-5 games in a row, usually in a single shot), but, on the other hand, let's be honest: absolutely no one can say all their good shots are pure skill, 100% calculated stuff. It's kinda a factor of this type of game, luck plays its part, taking off the penalty of getting downed would hurt more and it would help imo.

I believe not being broke in Hunt is like a second job. Plus the economy hinders the use of more varied loadouts, and rewards bush camping. The economy punishes everything from bad luck, bad plays, to poor balance and game bugs. Taking a Mosin or Avto doesn't mean you won't be one-tapped or mobbed by AI during a gunfight. Also... rebalance dual pistols properly for Christ's sake.

Personally I hate the necro self revive. While it does make fighting solo more viable I find that whenever I come across a solo I end up just camping the body while I burn it, or using concertina and beartraps if I have them. From what i've seen online this seems to be the trend with other players. Basically I don't like how much it slows down the gameplay, but I would still like for their to be someway to play hunt solo (not including quickplay) without being at a distinct disadvantage; ie a solomode or something. ps. self necro should comeback but as some sort of respawn on the edge of the map thing. Reviving yourself right on spot is a stupid coin flip which works dumb in both ways. On one side you have a privilege of not suffering from trades and you can even finish off squads if they are not sure you are solo (fight happened quickly and suddenly). On the other side if they know you are solo, you have no chance of reviving yourself at all. Which is why I think current implementation of solo necro is super dumb for both sides, either you are the one who gets rekt by duos/trios who know you can revive yourself or you are duo/trio that got rekt by not knowing that guy was solo.

In your example regarding the Nitro being such a small percentage of overall wealth, while that's true and makes it easy to shrug off purchasing one, losing 10 of them in a night is still going to be felt. I'm right around 400k. I didn't get there by dropping 2k per loadout. When people with a lot of hunt bucks are on a losing streak then bringing Dolch Precisions into every match isn't something they're likely to do. Balancing around price does work for the majority of the population, and for those that it doesn't work as well for because of a large amount in the bank, it either operates as a control limiting further acquisition of money or still serves the same purpose because they didn't get there by not acknowledging the costs.

I'm glad this seems to be a common opinion. It's still punishing to play as a solo, because there aren't many circumstances where it's safe to stand back up anyway. A simple limit of 2 or 3 revives, regardless of health chunks, would probably make it fair. 1 or 2 more seconds on the revives wouldn't hurt too bad, bc solos reviving Faster than other players is a little rough, and it'll give more time to set up traps on the body. I just feel like it's been such a significant and positive change to the game for solos while remaining only an inconvenience for teams.

I feel like the in-match purchasing of certain more powerful upgrades would actually be a good thing to keep, rather than moving these upgrades into the normal trait pool. They still need heavily changed, especially for death cheat, but I liked the idea of adding extra incentives to go out of your way AWAY from the hunt and risk being late to the boss/being ambushed at the caravans. In exchange, you would have a (hopefully less powerful) bonus for the rest of the match

I play between 4 and 6 star lobbies (depending on if I play with friends who play less) At all of those levels I feel that all weapons are nicely represented (outside of the obviously rare winfield vandal and precision revolvers because those are two slot so they see little usage) Yes 1/3 of 6 star lobbies have an avto player but it's not like they win all the time anyway Avto would see way less usage if it somehow got less ammo with sparks pistol ammo box combo Maybe they should make avto special ammo, so you could only use the box for it (way less ammo, but you actually would have a secondary)

Same here, I end up in 4/5 star lobbys and I feel like there is a solid diversity of loadouts. The game doesn't feel meta slaved, and it doesn't really seem like I'm dumpster people through sheer load out dominance either. The reverse is true as well, typically if I feel outgunned it was situational circumstances like getting shotgunned in a building while running a rifle/pistol. Things like Avtos or Nitros are downright rare to see, from my experience.

Death Cheat is great for players like me who don't have a ton of time to put in the game. I am 31, married, full time work often working on school stuff in addition etc. When I hop on for the couple hours I can play on the weekend, I at least want a second chance at the trait load out I got after I get 1 tapped by some dude I never saw. Getting killed a couple games in a row by people you never saw gets pretty unfun, especially when you have to lose literally everything for it. *Shrug*. I think maybe doing a token when you loot an enemy or banish would be a fine way to keep death cheat around. Still gotta earn it.

My only problem with economy is how game ONLY rewards taking bounty to extraction. Did you get 8 kills and died to the last guy? Good,you got nothing. It is almost feels like game punishes you for "playing" it. I believe this is the biggest reason why most of the hunt players are too passive. Since almost only income is bounty and most of the players can't extract with bounty , they don't want to take any risk. This is not a directly problem for me,i have enough dollars(i dont prestige) and i like playing aggressive but it becomes so boring to play with and againts passive players. Some of you will say: "well,it makes sense. It is a extraction game.". I know, i just want to get 50-100 dollar per hunter i killed and looted(once per hunter,no revives). And save the money even if i die at the end. I only play this game for PvP actions,and i just want people to be more eager to get in PvP action,not run away from it...

They need to make some major changes if they want to keep people around. I've got over 3k hours and some of the people I've played with are similar. But we're not playing now. Didn't even bother finishing the event. The game is just mostly an annoyance currently rather than being enjoyable. For 2 weeks nearly every single match I had resulted in 3 teams fighting and a 4th team sitting back with snipers never getting within scan range. I just don't care for that meta.

In regrads to the economy, It's possible that its meant to lower the amount of nitros/etc in lower skilled matches, where players are less likely to have cash. Like a Nitro is great, and in a skilled players hands, it's a monster...but I've also won against those monsters, many times, I have a whole slew of collected uppercuts and nitros and Idk what to do with them. I think a Nitro is less powerful at a higher MMR as people are better at combatting it, than at a lower MMR is the idea. So hunt dollar stuff may help with that.

100% agree with the gun fight mode. You could even have 3 teams, or have a bunch of teams as duos. One compound, they already have the out of bounds area for quick play. Each round has the countdown from extraction, the round begins and the Hunt hum plays. I’d like to see that idea evolved as well and if people really liked it they could have a ranked match and you could have seasonal reward skins for achieving different ranks. They could also have a point system sort of like call of duty use to do in black ops. And let people actually take in different weapons and kits, making 1 mele weapon of your choice and med kit default. Perks and power weapons could be put on the map and marked like halo, when someone picks it up it gives you a message just like with a bounty. I’d really really really love to see a pvp focused mode like this. If rounds drew on too long there could be a point where eventually all players are granted endless dark sight to encourage pushing. Or you could have a growing amount if AI spawn at the perimeter of the compound, or even just have a circle spawn in the middle you need to capture. I just want more hunt PvP and less Shift W (Sorry for long comment, Hunt would be so smart to do this, and doing it like you said at first would take very little work, everything is already in place, it would just be UI stuff)

The only thing balancing a lot of the new perks are the fact that they cost pledge marks. The self-revive canNOT stay in the game. I don't care what people say, if you're having trouble winning as a solo, get better. Full stop. Forcing players to stop and find something to trap up or burn every single person they suspect of being a solo breaks game flow and slows the game down. I've got so many uncontested bounties this event it's hilarious, and I'm 100% sure part of that is players being forced to burn or trap every single body they drop for fear of getting shot in the ass. Everyone having a full perk set because you only need one pledge mark to save your hunter is ridiculous as well, and constant full-speed health regen? Nope. None of that can be balanced outside of the pledge mark system, besides an arbitrary "only works until you go down once" kind of thing.

Economic wise perhaps they could do something along the lines of a seasonal reset type thing, the problem with all the "fixes" on this issue is that theyre mostly all or nothing fixes, either they wipe the slate clean type of deal and all the long time players are pissed, or they make changes to costs which doesnt effect the rich in the slightest and merely makes the gap between them bigger.
@TurtleGamers1 Жыл бұрын
I don't think the economy particularly needs to be fixed per se, but I do think they need to change something with the Avtomat. Currently, the two main nerfs to the Avtomat is the limited ammo capacity, high recoil, and high cost, but two of those factors are essentially null for high-tier players who sit at 500k and can run dual sparks pistols with the Avtomat. Limited ammo forces you to choose your fights carefully and shoot in bursts. One solution would be to make the Avtomat a special ammo type, similar to how they did with the Dolch, to force down the ammo pool for it. People legit spray and pray with the Avtomat and can win team-fight after team-fight because of it.

Regarding Death Cheat - I think it should stay in the game, but be like... a 5-6 point perk that you have to refresh after every use. Having Death Cheat available has made me far more willing to take fights, take risks, and do all the things that makes a fight in Hunt more interesting. Without it, as someone that primarily plays Solo, I'm usually not likely to try and push a Banish because frankly I've got too much to lose. Now, since the worst I'll have to do is burn a trait point or two on getting my hunter's HP back to max, I'm more willing to do silly things and that's led to me having far more fun with the game. It should definitely be an expensive perk, but in a way that's fitting; you take it because by the time you get it, you've got a very tuned-up hunter with a bunch of really nice upgrades. Or, you grab it early and build that hunter up but accept that you won't be able to get as many other perks, as fast. Granted this brings up the problem that some perks are kind of pointless (in my humble opinion) and as such most people will go straight for the really good ones like Death Cheat, Gator Legs, Physician, etc but frankly I think Crytek needs to do some reworking of a great many perks anyway to make more of them actually viable instead of just a way to burn extra trait points from Tributes.

I hover around $30-$40K. Not because i'm good. But because my favorite guns tend to be cheaper. I almost never touch shotguns other than the Romero or Rival. I love the LeMat Carbine and use that in place of all the other more expensive 3 slot rifles.

I think that the best way to fix the economy is to add a "scarcity" system. When a player has over certain amount of hunt dollars which would be relatively low (about 15,000 or 20,000) then the scarcity effect kicks in until you drop beneath that amount at which point things turn back to normal. The scarcity effect essentially makes guns more expensive each time you buy them. A small increase of like 2-5 percent in price. It will both balance the economy, and have some effect at varying loadouts (either vary a loadout to hold on to your money longer, or burn funds to run the same load out often). It also leaves enough funds in the account where players don't feel poor, but not enough to run super expensive loadouts all the time.
@paulkersey3042 Жыл бұрын
The best answer I can think of to the hunt dollar economy question is to have Loudouts with cost limits. For the sake of example, you've got a 1k hunt dollar limit, spend 500 on a mosin, 300 on tools and consumables, and finally 200 on your pistol. This is just an example, but it shows how you could balance the game completely outside of the individual player economy. Maybe you'd get a bonus for playing a budget build so players with less money can get up to that higher level faster.
@thebaumfaeller1477 Жыл бұрын
I think this would suck pretty badly since it arbitrary limits loadout variety and does not really limit the use of expensive Weapons. Going in without consumables would probably just become standard, which while weakening the expensive loadout would primarily be annoying and not matter at all in the later parts of a match.

For balance purposes, the first thing I thought of for load outs is to create a Draft Kings type cost load out. You won’t have a cap of how much you could spend. If you bought an expensive gun then you would have to spend less on a side arm, throwables, or healing.

As a low rank player, money can become an issue at times. It's why I've never really touched long amo guns until the ironside came out. I think prestige is more important for newer players because it helps you expand your legendary collection and it can get you out of financial ruin. The way the new bloodline xp unlock tree works, you get a TON of money around level 50, finish unlocking most stuff you want and then you reset if your funds are low or you want that free legendary.

On the note of the event exclusive traits. Its brought me to realizing JUST how important traits are, how effective they are, and how much of a massive advantage they give you and options for having fun with builds that otherwise wouldn't be possible or would feel horrible. I believe rather than being able to keep your hunter with the grounded pact, I think the trait system needs to be revamped in general. For a competitive pvp game, the current way it exists doesn't belong. Plus it'd be nice to be able to choose a few quality of life perks like gator legs and bullet grubber from the getgo rather than having to roll the dice on random hunters.

Id add the crafting system, want a avtomat? Find or buy a mosin, find the parts in the maps (drum mag, barrel, receiver) and combine them in the menu, you cant buy the gun only earn it, and you can apply this to alot of the high tier guns, for the dooch you need a borhiem and the nitro need a db, uppercut needs pax, you can actually use this to mod guns, for the chain pistol u need a caldwell, want a martini bayonet, get the base gun and find a bayonet, hell maybe we can have a certain amount of mods on 1 gun, like a winfield with a dead eye and the blade on the stock
@ems_2810 Жыл бұрын
I think one key "issue" with how both the Nitro and Avtomat is implemented at the moment, is that the intended system to support both weapons have seemingly been scrapped. Originally the game was supposed to have a modular system of lootable parts in-raid. So if you wanted an Avtomat you needed to first have a normal Mosin and then loot the appropriate parts for it. Another legacy of this is special ammo, which was also meant to be strictly lootable or craftable along with bayonets, scopes, talon , etc. Had the system been implemented, the chance of seeing an Avtomat would, imo, have been far lesser than as it stands now. Now Crytek is forced to regulate prevalence via the economy instead of tinkering with spawn rates for parts and thus will always be somewhat half baked of a solution.

A way to get players like myself to spend hunt dollars is simply add more things to spend hunt dollars on like being able to keep tier 1/2/3 hunters, buy special gun skins, etc. Or simply wipe the game tarkov style, new players get a little screwed but all players get 2-5 blood bond per 1k hunt dollars to not ruin their experience, then implement a hunt dollar cap of like 25/50k Then just make prestige mandatory but you keep all unlocked guns/variants and instead the hunt dollars are converted to blood bonds at 2-5 per 1k hunt dollars based on what you have left and you are reverted back to level 1 and all hunters reset. Make it nearly infinite so even the prestige 100s benefit. This would surely boost the hunt dollar economy and also reduces the ability to just farm hunt dollars. Sure you can just use cheap load outs and hover 50k until you prestige to get 50-150 blood bonds but you also can't sit on a throne of 100k+ hunt dollars doing 100+ matches with the avto.

Biggest issue with the economy is more just there isn't any other sinks for it. Cleaning weapons and refunding perks should be hunt dollar based, and for perks make it based on how many points are refunded (don't know, call it 100 per point?) and cleaning weapons just make it like 100 hunt dollars per level of cleaning required. However, that being said the issue of seeing avtos more isn't because of hunt dollars being a thing, more to do with the s.pistols being an enabler. Having done testing to see the difference between uppercuts and s.pistols (both dual wield), you go from getting a clip for the avto if you are lucky from small packets of long ammo to getting a clip at worst from the same drop while with ammo boxes being insanity, with each supply point being able to nearly completely refill your ammo pool. Not an issue with money, more an issue with the S.Pistol (which imo, just needs an ammo reserve drop which in turn would reduce ammo pick-up and that would help bring things in line). As you point out and even I noticed it, when they made uppercuts 414 from 275 suddenly my hobby of collecting them was far more difficult. People don't bring them EVERY loadout, even with mosins. So HD does influence what people take but maybe not as overtly as people may think. Another factor to the money is that anyone who thinks they can't get good gear because they are poor simply haven't had enough time with the game yet to realise ALL guns are good. Ok, your winfield C isn't going to out range a mosin, but considering encountering Mosins, you only need to kill 1 out of 10 guys with a winny C to be doing some serious economy. And even then, a winfield C is a good gun and should NEVER be considered weak. Remember: Every gun in the game clicks heads bar ofcourse some special exceptions, A 400+ mosin clicks a head yes at longer range but end of the day, both can get a kill in 1 bullet. Also, most players would agree that you get the best shotgun in the game right out the gate, the Romero may not be a pump action, lever firing, semi-auto loading monster but at ranges shotguns get used, one shot is all you need and likely get and the Romero can one hitter quitter at the longest. And remember, this is the CHEAPEST shotgun. The first shotgun you get. You arguably get best in class weapon for that ammo type from the get go. No wonder money ain't an issue if the cheapest options are often good. Pair all that with what Free hunters come with, some of those loadouts they come with can be something scary. If you wanted, whenever they come with dual-pistols just knock one pistol off and run with that and the sawn off they have. Arguable for being better that way and hey, if you get a cheeky moment where you manage to down someone with another weapon, trade-up. Heck, even just check the towers...you can find anything in those things I find...found a Nitro twice in towers in my time and even had one game where within one game I ran across 3, yes 3, independent world spawned Terminus shotguns. This comes from a 3 to low 4 star player who sits with 120k in their character's wallet. Sometimes, I just force myself to buy expensive stuff and still can't seem to run out of money but then again, I enjoy making budget loadouts based on my own rule-set of limits. For the humour: Cheapest loadout full out is 107 with a springfield, nagant pistol, knuckles and med-kit. All level 1 accessible. However if you are a sniper lover, 300 hunt bucks will get you a sparks sniper and officer nagant. Still got to pay for tools but hey, I'm just some commenter.

I can't disagree enough that self revive should stay in the game. It's not only an issue of balance, I don't even think it fits how this game plays. Hunt was always this game where paying attention was paramount to staying alive, but I've found I don't even have to do that as a solo anymore because if I do go down I can just wait until I'm sure they've moved on and get back up. And on the other side, I have to babysit bodies or trap every body I create, which are resources I'd rather save for dealing with teams. A player that has no teammates alive should be out when he is killed.

New game mode idea for quick play. Sudden death. It's like what he was suggesting. 2 teams (choose the size of the team) and fight each other with random load outs. You start with a tier 1 hunter, and every time you win a sudden death, the tier of your hunter increases, and their load out changes accordingly (still random). Every sudden death after tier 3 will add a trait onto your character. You could also use the do vs your friends.

re: weapon prices - costs can be % based with a minimum dollar amount. eg whichever is higher between $1500 or 15% of your total hunt wallet (just a thought) They should also keep the event perk system as it is, but with a balance pass over them. IMO the matches have been much more fun and engaging since the update - It's much less common to be sniped from 200m with spitzer or be stuck in a compound standoff for >20mins (which i personally find very unfun).

On the Hunt Economy, I'd honestly like to see prices come down across the board. I don't think playtime investment should determine which kits you are able to afford. I think if you see that as "Yea but what if everyone runs around with X?" Then that just means X is too strong and needs a nerf. At 5 star, I've been on both sides of "Compact Ammo Gun Kills Avtomat Player". I think in general the guns are pretty well balanced. I would argue throwables need to be rebalanced and not money wise. The fact you can be blinded by the flash bang when you aren't facing it is just straight up dumb. And dum dum ammo has next to zero penetration but the frag grenade goes through 3 walls and has a blast radius of like 15m (hyperbole but close to accurate). With the grounded pact I've definitely gained a lot of hunt dollars but I've also spent a TON because making hunt dollars is now easier. (This is also probably the most fun hunt has ever been IMO)

I honestly think that some weapons just shouldn't exist. Avto shouldn't exist, it doesn't really matter if you can win against an avto with a winfield suppressor because of "just hit the head", the gun is just frustrating to play against, it feels cheap to die to, it doesn't feel like you got outplayed, it's just wack. Same thing with dolch. I think the frustration factor on the receiving end should also be taken into account.

I've felt that recently cost doesn't really matter anymore. Not in the same way people say it is, but actually the opposite. It doesn't matter anymore for people who don't have that much cash. There are just so many different options now that filled the gap between the vetterli and the mosin. For far range weapons, you now have the Centennial, berthier, krag, but especially the new Ironside. People sleep on the normal martini but this variant really has the power of the original and the speed of a bolt action. I feel like these guns, and the buffs a while ago that pulled out the One-shot headshot range on many medium rifles, and 1.10 which increased the range on winfields, which makes it so people have more of a fighting chance than ever against the mosin uppercut gamers. This applys less to shotguns though. The more expensive you get the more objectively better the shotgun is, aside from the romero/alamo Also I would definitely buy your duck skin.

My idea for the economy would be a 2nd queue you can join where money is reset frequently (I'm thinking, like daily frequently); the draw being that its impossible to amass crazy wealth. I feel like this is nice as its not deleting anyone's huge wealth, but would encourage people to actually think about their loadouts and you'd know that people with a big expensive loadout are putting their money on the line in that match. Otherwise though the economy doesn't bother me much. I like cheap loadouts, and prior to the latest event had a huge amount of money from running cheap loadouts and just using the first extract bonuses. reading through the comments I see a great suggestion that I agree with- respeccing with hunt dollars. I just generally think that would be amazing as it would ensure that legendary hunters are always worth it to recruit- but could also help with being a hunt dollar sink.

I just had a thought. What if they implemented deathcheat as something you spend hunt dollars on? I'm thinking like this. Once a character reaches level 50 you can pay the price of buying a rather expensive hunter to spare them (with them still losing all items like the existing deathcheat) and every time after that first one the price of keeping the character becomes more and more expensive. Another thing to spend Hunt dollars on but a system that makes it impossible for a character to cheat death forever, because at some point the price of keeping the character would equal the player's cash pool. Adding a hunt dollar cap like suggested in the video would help this.

MMOs generally try to take money out of the economy by creating "gold sinks" - things only super rich players can afford. Best idea IMO would be adding some sort of robust cosmetic system. Like you can add a cool cowboy hat onto your hunters, but unlocking said hat costs 50k. Or creating variants of preexisting legendary weapons that unlock with hunt dollars (i.e. if you own a legendary Vetterli Deadeye, you can unlock a regular variant of that Vetterli for 100k). This might breathe some new life into legendaries that are less popular since they're suboptimal variants.

The economy changes are released, but I always liked the idea of a percentage loss of total Hunt Dollars when you die. - Could make it small, like 1%, or higher. - Could make it based on loadout cost (you only lose this from your account if your loadout price exceeds 1k, for example). - Could even have it so that you only lose it if someone loots your body and takes it, so if you get burned out immediately, that won't happen. Call it something like "Smuggler's Tax", to get this pricey gear into the Bayou. If you made it something like 5%, It would mean that people with 5k Hunt Dollars who bring an Avto will lose 250 Hunt Dollars if they die and get looted, which is fine. But people with 100k Hunt Dollars will lose 5k, which will rapidly add up.

I like the idea of hunt dollars, for the most part, being localized to hunters. That way, even if you've got a shit ton of reserves for legendary hunters and stuff, you can't buy everything you want on one hunter. You want a mosin? Hope you're ready for a conversion pistol, dusters and single dynamite stick to fit in the starting cash cap. Simple idea that could be workshopped into something much better and more tennable

They could also limit how often you can purchase those expensive weapons. So max money isn't a factor. They already have a timer system in for limited time objects. Just do that for high end gear.

Huh. +1, I'd get behind that! I mean, you could still hoard weapons for later use, or those you take off of dead hunters (which usually means you have earned them). Another thing I thought, when hearing Home's answer to the economy question, is why the fuck aren't there high price prestige purchase options?! Give us something to spend our vast riches on, e.g. goddamn bling for our profile (you know, where the stats are listed in the post-game summary, if you were identified in-game), like different backgrounds (Copper, Silver, Gold, and/or specific lore or time-of-year themed picture based stuff), or other low-effort, still nice-to-have money sinks in that regard. Would be great to invest surplus $$$ into, before prestiging, aswell!

@@DatsWhatHeSaid I have about 60 hours in the game and am rank 99. I will never prestige. I will never play the game long enough to get 100/100 so what is the point. I still haven't unlocked everything in the book yet. OG COD4 was the first game I ever prestige in. That makes me old. But there were 10 distinct ranks with unique emblems that could be recognized.

@@HolyOrangeJuice You do you. Little tip tho: Prestiging ONCE and choosing the "10% extra exp" instead of the legendary skin, as a prestige reward, gets you that infinitely repeatable $200 level up reward at lv100 those 10% faster, forever.

My hunt 4-5 star experience is: if you play trios you will most of the time only have to fight one team. You win ca. 40% of the time (including the chance of one bounty matches). If you play duos though, you will most of the time have to fight two teams BUT you will get the same amount of money. So you win ca. 20% of the games but the same amount of money per bounty. The solution would be to play budget loadouts. But in duos that does almost no progress + taking no explosives and no special ammo also lowers your chances of winning. In my opinion playing mid cost loadouts (Hunter 200$ + tools and consumables 200$ + primary 150$ + secondary 100$) should always make you stay at one money level no matter if you play solo, duos or trios. Also the reason to play budget loadouts should be that you want to play expensive afterwards and dont want to loose money. Also i definetly would make more money with my playstyle if your free hunters (wich i dont pick because of their white appearance) would be able to upgrade there costume after winning a match.

I agree the Duck Hunter make so much sense in this game. It fits perfect and it is kinda funny to see how he woud stand out with his little Duck in the bushes.

If you add a duck hunter skin you also have to add a humanoid rabbit boss that can't directly damage hunters, but, can Fuck with their weapons and can also create distractions

Would you play or even main a Hunt 1895 Mode (picture an opt-in like the Trio/SBMM button) where the following guns are excluded? Bornheim / Match (Bergmann 1896 n° 3) Dolch / Precision (Mauser C96, 1896) Auto 5 (Browning Auto 5, 1898) Slate (Winchester Model 1897) Nitro Express Rifle (.450 Nitro Express Cartridge, 1898) Avtomat (Huot Automatic Rifle, 1917)

I have 1500 hours and recently stopped playing hunt due to the the community play styles which promote slow pace and camping routines. Also, having to grind a game to be able to ‘ play ‘ it doesn’t work for me anymore. Im done losing money and having to grind for it… back to apex ;)

Just got hunt last week and loving it! Your account has been very informative and a great listen Was wondering, are you going to do a hunting bow “gun” review? It’s my go-to weapon, paired with akimbo Lemats is my favourite loadout Sorry if this is asked lots!

I think some historical figure Legendary characters would be cool, running around the swamps as Abraham Lincoln, Edger Allen Poe, or like Theodore Roosevelt would be really neat. Personally Theodore would make me really happy or possibly Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Billy the kid, jesse james so many neat characters they could make.
