Easy FIX to deranking would be to make it take longer. 2 days to drop 1 star (from 6 to 5) then 3 more days to drop another star (5 to 4). Then 7 more days to drop a third star (4 to 3). This would make it so painful to derank it would stop all but the most determined and make them suffer along the way.

5-6 Star lobbies suck. The game sucks at that rank. The game is the most fun in 3-4 stars because people are actually pushing and playing the game instead of sitting in bushes all day long

I think the SBMM works it just doesn’t work as intended. They need a larger amount of star ratings that you can be put into to separate the skills of each player and somebody with a lot of play time should not be playing against new or bad players. They also need to get rid of the dying to a lower rating person drops your MMR. If you die to anybody even if they are higher than you it should always drop your MMR.

A lot of playtime and bad player are not exclusive. But yeah i feel like adding a casual Q and a ranked Q wouldnt change anything for lower star hunters it would just make it even easier or faster for high stars to smash low star lobbies.

@@mikeno5841 Experience in matchmaking is already a thing, I’m just suggesting strengthening that because it’s very important in a game like this that has so many complicated aspects while also changing the way dying to another player works so that it has nothing to do with either players MMR.

Honestly have no idea what they were thinking when they made solo necro give/lose MMR per each death after the first one. Like, wow, you get farmed 2-4 times before you even finish standing up 90% of the time, surely outplayed. And they thought people would just not take the free express trip to easier lobbies? Bullshit. I'm skipping this patch until they change that.

I actually had a guy camp my body for 30 mins waiting for farm free kills on it too. like he was the last person in the lobby and he kept trying to "fake out my necro" by pretending to run away only to come back and stare at my body. (i went and had lunch and stuff so i left him on spectate, was disapointingly funny) but this patch got ALOT more than just necro issues. the changes to magpie while leaving it 1 point also means 9/10 the bounty team will sprint for the exit and give up the highground rather than attempt to fight you. hell ive even seen people more willing to leave there teamates behind and run now cuz of magpie,lol.

@@MrOrdosan That's not farming kills, that's spite. Half the people hate solos because they feel robbed when a guy they killed gets back up and shoots them in the back without any help if they can't secure his body, the other half hates them because of deranking - the solo gets easier games quickly and the guy who killed the solo on repeat has to face better opponents next match because in the game's eyes, he killed 3-5 higher-rank players. I haven't noticed any differences in how often people want to fight, if anything it's actually better that more people prefer to leave the lair instead of sitting outside waiting for you to run out of patience.

I see what you mean about SBMM and I tend to agree, although if people are willing to derank themselves to get into low mm they'll just go into casual queue to club seals anyway. Id to like them to make quickplay not affect mmr though, that's definitely too easy to exploit

Yeah, sbmm really sucks with revive. I often get 4 star rank as resident 5 star and end up in 3 star lobbies. While it is easy for me it is really unfair for the 3 stars against an experienced player. Not even trying to derank, but it happens eventually.

Instead of casual and competitive playlists, I think it'd be cool to experiment with goofy game modes that don't effect MMR for the "wildcard contract". Maybe for a week make it a game mode that gives everyone a preset loadout with bows and hand crossbows only and it locks everyone into a single compound to fight it out. Or maybe add "gun game" where when you get a kill, it swaps your gun. It could be a lot of fun.

SBMM is saving me regularly from a full day loss streak. i like sbmm, there are exploiters in any system i like when matches have the potential to feel fair. or just have 2 seperate queues (but there will be no new players playing without sbmm cause they just get perma stomped)

The first ever game session I had in hunt - I've killed 11, my personal best record. And I was alone. My two teammates died of Scrapbeak, I've got on Fort Carmick's roof and killed three teams. It was a long gunfight. Now I have about 150 hours and I totally in love with this game, but high ping doesn't let me get a 6th star in mmr. And I'm getting wrecked at five stars for the most of the time, but now I know how to play and getting better. But the start for me in Hunt was absolutely glorious
