The reason for the recoil difference is gas guns shoot softer than bolt guns in real life. I do love how they put real life aspects into the guns. And there is a HUGE difference in the 300 Win Mag and the 375 H&H Magnum in terms of powder charge and bullet weight. The 300 is designed to be as flat shooting as you can get a 30 caliber magnum to be. The 375 H&H Mag is deigned to kill big stuff before it kills you! The 375 H&H Mag is the smallest caliber that is legal for dangerous game in Africa.

After learning how much to hold over for the Moradi Model 1894 it's been my go-to on a lot of deer. The 70/16 of the .44 ammo (class 3-8) just gives that double lung always. Even at 150+m (It drops off after 50m it claims with the specs but it sure works well.) Makes the Fors Elite .300 with 32/7 seem wimpey. and even the Johansson .450 at 35/8 just isn't that impressive. Vallgarda .375 at 48/15 doesn't fall off until over 200m but I wonder how much the Moradi actually falls off to compare.

On the moradi once you get past 150m switch your zero back to 50m. When the Odin scope is at full magnification the first dot down is 200m the second dot it 300m and the third dot it 400. It’ll “heart” anything in it class at any range if you know the distance. It’s like using slugs with the tracer perk. Lets you know how much the 44 drops because they have similar trajectory’s.

300 Elite immediately went into the basket because almost all the hunters do fox grind now. 450 good but 303, 30.06, 308, 7mm are the very good. Only 375 no complaints. If 300 will 2-5(6) and 450 will 3-7 it could have been a perfect dlc

When I used the .338, which is in the same class effectiveness range, I was highly underwhelmed. The .375 turned out for at least my hunting preferences to be a monster for bears, elk, moose, and Buffalo. Was ambushed a few times by Cape Buffalo and was able to down 2 within a 6 second window with the .375.

I moved over to Bolt Action atm. I was a die-hard fan of the 308 and then the 300 but maybe it was the grinding but I just tired of them. Switching to bolt action has rejuvenated the game for me :)

I know you don’t normally try the soft points but you should with both the 375 and 450. I have been able to double lung elk with soft points from the 375. More expansion will give you a higher bleed rate so they don’t run far if at all. The 450 I have double lunged several elk with soft points as well. Mule deer to. Haven’t tried any moose yet.

I took a black a Rosevelt Elk at 369yrds with the .375. This gun is animal dropper. With the penetration. Is an absolute beast of a rifle. 😁👍

@13:40 - You literally double-lunged the Cape buffalo and didn't notice. :) FUN FACT: IRL, the 300 Blackout and 450 Bushmaster, the two rounds emulated in this latest weapons pack release, are most commonly sold in semi-automatic rifles. The 375 H&H is one of the most significant cartridges in the history of big game hunting, especially in Africa and India.

I know you mean rifle ammo, but just for clarification, the 20GA and 16GA Slugs as well as 10GA Buckshot and 540 Grain Traditional Arrows are all rated for Classes 4-7. 3-6 is definitely a first, though.

The bolt actions do not seem to bother me as much! However, I'm on console, so it's difficult for me to claim two animals at once anyway. My personal favorite combo right now is the .243 and .300 MAG!

13:39 u showed us picture of double lung at 200m and you probably didnt realized that when u said "it might be possible to get double lung if u get close enough" :) 16:36 I once shot beer right between lungs above hearth with arzyna from front, it was great penetration but I didnt hit anything :D regarding weapons: 1) valgarda .375 is super strong, but bad for grinds, maybe for moose grind it can be great for reasons u said in video, depends on what u prefer 2) Johansson .450 is just bad. 35/8 with polymer tips is worse than Iwaniec 45/13 and even worse than Zarza-10 .308 42/13, but its only 3kg both zarza and Iwaniec are 3,5kg 3) Fors Elite .300 (32/7) - if I ever do any type of grind on class 3 I would use it, it has very nice no scope and for class 3 its really good. But there arent much animals on class3 and if u just walking in the forrest you use either Zagan Varminter .22-250 (25/3) for lower weight or Ranger .243 (30/4) because it can shoot down class2 or ZARZA-15 .223 (20/3) - there just arent any animals for this weapon. If they add class3 GO then Fors Elite .300 will probably be best weapon for the job. To make Johanson .450 more competitive to other weapons it needs to weight 2Kg so you could use Zagan + Johansson .450 + 3rd weapon for class 5-6 (2+2+2,5=6,5kg) instead of Ranger .243 + Zarza-10 .308 (3,5+3,5=7kg). But then it would be question if 0,5kg less weight can be better choice than to use better rifles. AR vs Bolt action. Bolt action rifles feels more realistic - if I ever go IRL hunting, I would pick bolt action over AR every time, but this is PC game so AR makes it more fun. For Grinds I always go for AR (maybe not for moose), but when I just walk on map I prefer bolt action. Thats just my thought

It's not bad, but it wasn't spot on either. Vallgarda certainly does an excellent job on Moose, Bison, and Buffaloes. It also makes way faster kills. I shot and killed my first and only GO (a Moose) with Vallgarda over 140 meters with a heart shot. It's a great rifle. First I didn't like Johanson cuz it was a 4-7 rifle, not a 9. But to be honest, after they decrease Elk to level 7 , The only level 8 animals are Mooses and Crocs. And you should never grind'em with a 4 to 8 rifle. It's generally 7 to 9 rifles will be the choice. Soo ? Actually for 4 to 8 rifles, 8th rank kinda ain't mean much. And Johanson has similar (or better) power than .308 and yet half a kg lighter? I loved Johannson cuz it's just 3 kg. Probably the 2nd most powerful 3 kg rifle after Moradi. 300. I haven't tried Fors Elite yet, but the problem with Fors Elite is classification. 3 to 6 is a dumb placement for it. If I wanted a mid-range rifle that starts from class 3, then I would've gone with Moradi every day over .300 Fors Elite. And If I want something with a better range, then I'll have .243 Ranger, Solokhin Mosin, 22-250. So because of that, Fors Elite literally doesn't bring anything new or unique to the game.
