All it takes is to give it that chance and that’s that lol depends how much if a speed / power addict someone is, but if they look past that then sm is the way! Perfect power for the street and can handle anything with ease other than fast straight lines but straight lines are boring anyway unless your wheelying 😈

Totally agree with you. I've always been into dirt bikes. Bought a new 690 smcr in 2020. Makes me smile every time I ride it. In fact I can honestly say any sports bike rider who rides a supermoto will get off it with a smile. An sm bike will turn your into a hooooligan. Guarantee it. Not enough supermoto's on the road. If your not careful these bikes will lose your licence for you. NEVER BE WITH OUT A SUPERMOTO.

I passed my full A license last month! Picked up my 2021 mt07 for just under 6k. I was so set getting an r6 for first bike till I done the cam rider direct course on a z650 and fell in love with the naked bike. Also No bad back or achey wrists are a bonus 🤣 got my tail tidy, bar end mirrors, now saving those pennies for a decent exhaust 😅 loving the videos and the husky 👍

Yup, I love the MT-07 as a beginner bike. With some beginner bikes you can grow out of them pretty quick but an MT-07 will be a bike you can grow with. I started on a Ninja 650 and I still love riding that bike. I also have a ZX6R and I want to get an MT-07 too.

Another sick vid bro. I think you might have just convinced me to start saving up for one of these I am going to be 19 in June and thinking of getting this after I pass my a2! What exhaust do you have on it and another question I have only ridden a 125 never anything bigger and I am just a bit worried that when you start getting a bike that is a2 compliant or bigger you have trouble keeping the front wheel down and you cant ride it normally you prob have to be really gentle on the throttle is that true? 🤣
@gringostyl2 жыл бұрын
thanks man! 👊 nooo its not that bad you just need to have control over the throttle, the wheel does fly up but not to the point where its un ridable It will fly up if you are agressive but its not hard to get used to and control the bike and a2 restricted will be less power anyway so should be all good!
@motofocus79272 жыл бұрын
@@gringostyl Thanks for the reply also if I were to get the husky or any other bike how would I go about derestricting it?
@gringostyl2 жыл бұрын
@@motofocus7927 i havnt looked into it but i know the mt07 can be throttle restricted or ecu restricted - im not sure if the 701 can be throttle restricted because its ride by wire and not cbale so not sure if this would stop that but it would probably be ecu restricted
@gringostyl2 жыл бұрын
@@motofocus7927 i read this as how could you restrict it hahaha to de restrict it is basically the opposite of the comment i just sent lol if its ecu restricted take it to a shop, if its throttle then can do it yourself with the right tools or tske it shop (not sure if this bike can even be throttle restricted cause of ride by wire)

Can a supermoto be used for light off roading? Planning to sell my ktm 390 adv and ducati monster. And get 701. However I am afraid I might miss my ktm ability to go light offroading. Supermoto tyre looks so smooth
@gringostyl2 жыл бұрын
you could just switch out to nobblies same as the 701 enduro... just be soft on brakes cause road bike brakes and also be firmer, or slap some dual sport tyres on the 701 ive been on gravel tracks etc with the 701 and was fine just take it easy and careful of puncture, other than that there is plenty of ground clearance, good suspension, the bike is light for a road bike but heavy for a supermoto haha but its an amazing bike

I currently own an r6 been on the bike for 2 seasons now, I wanna start wheeling a sumo but I’m indecisive about which size would be best. I’m not a beginner but what’s ur opinion on a WR450f for a super moto. The bike probably won’t see dirt. Just a wheelie bike
@gringostyl2 жыл бұрын
Wr450 is a good sm, but my recommendation would be if you want to learn to wheely, get a 250 or 450 (careful with 450 as it’s so snappy need to be very light in throttle) and leave it dirt trim, maybe find one already road legal? Find a quiet place to practice and don’t bring anything to the streets till you have got good control over footbrake so pretty much you need to be dropping back past balance a little bit
@gringostyl2 жыл бұрын
Then when you learned that far you can think about the sm wheels etc be a good journey Wheelying takes time tho, you need real practice over time… no matter how far away just know if you keep showing up you will get there And the feeling is so worth it, the reward for grinding to learn showing up to the strip just to practice the same thing over and over It’s such a good lifestyle riding this way 👊
@brody73922 жыл бұрын
@@gringostyl I appreciate it! ya we got a few pretty discreet parking lots out here I always catch the Harley guys wheeling at! A lot of flat grass areas too. Probably throw the bike in the truck and haul it there. I’m aware of the risk factor with the super moto. But it’s a lot more forgiving then learning on a 600. Then down the road when im comfortable with that sumo. Start getting the r6 to balance point! The wheel comes up a lot on my bike currently so I stay on that rear brake a lot. But last time I popped the clutch she came up and I caught a nasty wobble on the way down. She likes to power wheelie around 110km. So I’m gonna down size for wheelies till I get comfortable
