The sensor will be the same of the X3. They will improve the chipset using the 5nm model of the Ace Pro and with that the X4 will be able to offer 8k30 and 5.7k60. The actual X3 sensor is already capable of that (in single lens it can reach 4k vs 2.7k of the X2 and it can make 8k timelapse) but the chipset not. They will not put an 1" sensor because there is already a 1 inch camera and because the price will be much higher. The screen probably will remain the same but i hope they can make the X4 thinner, in order to have a better stitch. AI effects are useless but they will continue to push on that.

Its likely there will be some major improvements to their phone or pc studio software. There was some major updates when the x3 was launched.

X3 gives approx 1080p when reframed. The X4 may achieve 1440p. Better, but not really sensational.

360 mode should be 8k at 60fps so that you can reframe at 4k. Needs 1in sensor for better low light. My $2k Mac Studio can edit 8k no problem at all. What do you mean people don’t have powerful enough devices?! The M2 and up processors offer plenty of performance. It’s past time! My issue is the 1080p 30fps footage is way too grainy at speed especially if there is foliage in the scene; the X3 can’t keep up when you are moving at over 5mph.

@@The360Guy Most people don’t have the latest phones either. Before my iPhone 15 I had an iPhone 11 which wasn’t cable of editing video in the mobile GoPro app.

8K ON THE WAY, BBY. I said want improve image quality. 6k or 8k 360, 5k single lens. 4k me mode. Auto connect Bluetooth, built in receiver for wireless mics, like the OP3.

A 1-inch sensor for each lens would be amazing. I know the Insta360 One RS already has a 1-inch sensor (or is it two 1-inch sensors?), but I've heard it's bigger and heavier than the X3. But I imagine an X4 (with one-inch sensors) would be considerably more expensive. Personally, since the three companies (Insta360, DJI and Go Pro) seem to copy ideas from each other anyway, I'd love to see an Insta360 X4 do something like the DJI Pocket 3, with a one-inch sensor, and on a built-in gimbal, but with the two lenses. Now 'that' would be amazing! Great in low light too! But again, probably very expensive.

I'm a 360 addict,after my first camera 360 from Samsung I bought the Nikon key mission 360,and lenses was replaceable and waterproof.So yes insta360 can do it.i break my X3 lens 3 days ago and my guarantee is exceeds .i use it with the single lense like my GoPro but dammmnn hope they can do that and also if we can fit some nd filter

If it's true, as you say, DJI already has wireless microphones, it seems strange to me that Insta360 doesn't release anything similar. For me, they are taking a long time to release something similar.

I don't think user replaceable lenses will happen because of the water proofing as you mentioned. Also, if the lens isn't set at exactly the correct position (distance from the sensor) then the image will be blurry.

i do not care about an x4, i need a NON MODULAR 1" sensor 360 modell with exceptional image quality. 6k vid res is enough for me, but it should have at least 100 mp still image resolution so it would be nice for real estate photography for egs. oh, and please, NO AI stupidity!

That would be cool but that is more often in like a more professional grade camera. Battery life, higher resolution, zoom, framerate, and durability are features that are an easier sell to more main stream consumers.

@@pootinplays You do know that the DJI Osmo pocket has 10-bit color and so does the GoPro 11 & 12 😎so that's is really something NEEDED in a smaller form factor in 2024 and beyond. Lets make sure we get that much needed color information which in turn produces a better final image!!! Better battery life is nothing if they aren't pushing the envelope with the actual picture quality my guy.

@@nogasdashI wasnt aware the Dji one has 10-bit thats interesting. The gopro I was not impressed with. Buddy brought one when we went out mountain biking and it kept getting an over heating error.

There are many waterproof action cameras that are having replaceble lenses. Gopro, DJI and even those cheap knockoffs! As about the sensors, resolutions and image you have to also keep in mind the issue of overheating because this camera has two sensors to cool down. Maybe some better heat management, but I don't think so! I don't see Insta360 developing a copper heatsink sistem because it cuts form the profits and people buy anyway! 8K don't make sense as even the X3 overheats in warm conditions as is! The fact that there's no worthy copetitor also is no help for us, users. Why cut o profits when the X3, flawed as it is, proved to be a best seller? I think that Insta360 will give us a X4 with slightly 10% better specs and heavily oriented on AI and ease of use in order to win even the most "laziest" and short attention span users.
