Well, 13 million was cut from our Canadian military this spring, and our veterans are still fighting in our courts to force our government to pay promised medical care for injured vetrans. Hosting the games in Canada and shelling out our hard earned tax for this event instead of putting our tax dollars to help our impoverished Canadian veterans is disgustingly poor optic.

I'm willing to bet that h & m's trip to Vancouver to drop the puck was bought & paid for by Invictus (jet, accommodations, etc.) as they also dropped an Invictus ad while they were in town ad that they could have filmed in Ca. Just like Whistler? Could they make it anymore difficult for anyone who wants to attend? They've probably got visions of Olympic sized crowds (to fit their over-bloated egos) w/o thinking through that most attendees will have to take a 3-4 hr roundtrip to get there, along the Sea To Sky Hwy during short winter days. It's not as if the accommodations at a resort destination during ski season come cheap. I hate that they're milking Canadian taxpayers. Go away m & h!

As you illustrated, the height of Invictus was 2016 when Prince Harry was at his best. He was hitting a good stride through the Royal Foundation doing good work on this and Heads Together. He was working on and engaged in African projects as well as representing Her Magesty The Queen, his grandmother in the Commonwealth. He had purpose and was INVOLVED in caused outside of himself. Then came the devil in torn skinny jeans to the first public appearance of "Look at meeeee!" at those very games (2016) and it's all been downhill since then. The intrest in Invictus has diminished in proportion to Hazbeen's global popularity decline and in counter-proportion to Migraine's rise in a staring role. The Duchess of Stolen Valor, who is the antithesis of athleticism, should be nowhere near service members, let alone LOYAL, PATRIOTIC, WOUNDED ATHLETES! She is married to a former soldier, but she is NOT a military wife, nor does she give a hoot about this very special group of people. I am a combat veteran's wife, and I had this snake figured out from the start! As a narcissist, she can never understand the mindset of our service members, including her own husband, or the families who support them. Invictus is in trouble. The only way back is to disassociate from the Monteshitshow duo and return to it's roots with the Royal Foundation and the Commonwealth.

When my brother was diagnosed with Cancer I was broken, I could not contemplate having fun.. I was broken, but here we see them having fun, THEM... all being paid for by the budget of Invictus. What you suggest if true, is sick, as sick as them. I think too many people despise H&M and don't want anything to do with them or anything they are doing. Now especially when the RF are in such a low time, yet this vile, disgusting pair are flaunting themselves, her and her clothes, Harry, just trying to prove what a great time he is having. Invictus actually highlights the problem with the Carparkles - when Invictus was still under the royal umbrella it was about the games with royals in attendance. With H&M it’s nothing but PR drives for (mainly) Markle and an event where they can pretend they’re royal. It also highlights the truly, truly vapid nature of Markle that the info she ensures the media receives is about her awful fashion choices. They have Markled Invictus and I expect it will be discontinued within 5 years. That’s my prediction.

I agree with a number of other commentators here. Until Meghan came along, the focus was on the athletes. Harry always promoted the games, joked with the competitors and wore the merchandise. She is taking more of the focus and even if only half of her reported demands are true, people see her/them using the games and making the Invictus pay for private jets, expensive accommodation etc which in turn takes money away from the athletes and veterans.

I was watching earlier today pictures of days gone by and I realized that I can’t remember seeing Harry laugh and smile for so long. In the pictures before Meghan Harry always looked so happy, even seen pictures of he and William with Camilla and he looked so happy.
