How about 'extreme right' or 'hard-right'? Categories that, as yet, no one who uses them interchangeably has bothered to define. Some journalists never talk to people but are apparently able to discern which of these categories they fall into just by looking at them. A journalist writing in the DT last year could apparently tell by looking that the men who were waiting to walk to the Cenotaph were 'far-right', but by the next day this same journalist writing about the same people had decided that they were now 'extreme-right'. I've decided that the ability to tell which 'right' group a person is in must be down to what they're wearing so my advice to those who want to go to the Cenotaph next year is to rock up in a suit and tie, and carry a chai latte. That'll throw 'em!

In all fairness, it’s not the fault of the people on the front line. They have to follow orders from above, senior officers, Home Secretary etc. just like they had to during miners strike. Most police officers are just normal people trying to do their job in extremely trying circumstances. I’m sure many agree with the views of their neighbours.
