Compatible with POD HD500
10 Presets created from scratch that covers a wide variety of tones focused on the Modern Worship Guitar player. We took a considerable amount of time to bring this classic pedal up to date with tones that are relevant today. We also recorded a demo using a Telecaster type of guitar which is a standard guitar used by many players around the world. Although this is a great sounding pack we also recommend using Reverb pedals in the FX Loop of the unit to maximize the sound of it!

I have one too, I still love it. I paired it with a Mooer Radar so you can have better cabs, it works perfectly fine for 2024. Good tone is good tone no matter the age of the unit.

Great video! Thanks for highlighting this still-relevant, still-useful board! I used the predecessor, the HD500, for my worship sets. Even the older version is an absolutely capable pedal and is as relevant as the player has time to make it. Had to take a break due to family medical issues, but I still have the HD500 and an identical backup for when I can rejoin my team.

I have heard some real garbage coming from axe FX and Kemper because the players didn't know how to dial in a tone to save their lives. But I've heard amazing tones a line 6 pod hd500x and Pro. I have both units and still is them to this day

Just need to figure out how to switch from one patch to another without having to to bend over to switch lol. But I do highly recommend getting one. A lot cheaper than a helix

There are multiple output settings, one for running directly to a cab, one for going into another head and cab, and one for going DI to your DAW. Hope this helps

I had the POD GO, Helix LT and Helix Floor. I went back to the HD500X and returned them all. Newer and more expensive does not mean better; EVEN with digital gear.

Its a great unit, but after purchasing a cheap NUX MG300, there isn't any comparison between 10 year old modelling tech vs todays algorithms.........at least in the rectifier zone. I always found the PODHD500X to have stellar reverbs, delays, and modulation fx. I have an issue with the MG300 as I cannot record via USB...nothing but noise, and I was thinking to try running the MG300 into the FX loop of the 500X to use it's rock-solid drivers for recording, but it wasn't working so I bought an interface to bypass the entire ordeal.

Still using mine live with Blues Cube amp and recording/producing via Logic Pro. More than enough other than for the most demanding pro use - that's not me - I would think Pain in the a** that the Line 6 editor is STILL not compatible with the Mac M1 a year down the line (even using Rosetta 2). tweaking FX manually with the knobs and buttons on the unit is a bit slow and fiddly.
